November 2024 Check in Thread

WOC Dessert Party has dropped. I reserved the first showing on 11/18.
Thank you so much!
I checked a couple of hours ago and nothing…
I got the first showing on 11/21…
Now I only need to secure character breakfast at story tellers on our departure day Saturday…(but that hasn’t dropped yet I guess…)

We are going for 5 night stay and 3 park days starting Nov 5th.

Does anyone know or can guess, when fall decoration comes down and when Christmas decorations goes up?

Does anyone know if Blue Bayou fantasmic dropped for Thanksgiving? My own fault I missed the drop time and got River Belle instead but was hoping maybe Blue Bayou was delayed hahaha

Hi all. I'm glad I found this thread. We are going to be there from 11/16 - 11/23 (11/17 - 11/22 in the parks), and I was also looking for World of Color dining and thought I missed it. Which restaurant do you recommend? We are WDW vets and this will be our first time at DLR. Already have Fantasmic River Belle brunch reservations.

We are bring our Senior parents and looking for an easy way to get a decent view of the show. We're not really interested in a Dessert party. We've done one at WDW, but didn't think it was worth the price. I'd rather pay extra for dinner.

I did notice that there are no reservations at all available for Storytellers after Monday, 11/18. Anyone know what is going on there? Thanks for all the insight everyone.

WOC dining is at either Wine Country Trattoria or Storytellers. You will be standing to watch WOC. Is that okay with your senior parents?

Are you planning on River Belle brunch and WOC dining on the same day? Not only is that a lot of food, but it will be difficult to see both shows one after the other.

River Belle brunch seating for Fantasmic will be sitting on the ground. Is that okay with your senior parents?

Yay, thanks for starting this thread! We arrive late Friday 11/1 and stay through 11/6 - staying at Pixar Place with 4 park days. This is our first time to DL. We are east coasters, are a family of 4 (2 middle school daughters), and have taken the kids to WDW several times, so we're looking forward to our first DL trip (although, we still haven't told the kids yet... keeping it a surprise for now :)).

I managed to grab several reservations that were recommended - Blue Bayou Fantasmic dining package, Lamplight Lounge, Jazz Kitchen, Naples Ristorante, and Trader Sam's (for lunch). Other than that, we haven't really done much planning, but we're pretty good at going with the flow. Only about a month to go for us!

If your want so sit for WOC only the dessert party is an option.. the diner packages are standing only…

Story tellers (as well as goofy‘s kitchen) stopped at the mentioned Monday… I guess they might offer some „special“ holiday stuff and haven’t released it yet … I am checking multiple times a day if there are changes because I and to do characters breakfast the following Saturday (nov 23) our departure day so timing is a little tight…😅 I am a anxious…

Thinking of doing the River Belle Premium on 11/30. I don't see it as an option for earlier dates as I assume they are sold out. When I try to book tomorrow, will I see it listed as "River Belle Premium" rather than an add-on for the 1st/2nd show?

Our Fantasmic reservation is for Sunday, 11/17. Definitely doing WOC a different night. Hopefully, it will be showing everyday, but we can do Friday, 11/22 if only weekend showings.

We're OK with sitting on the ground for Fantasmic. Mom will have an ECV due to a knee replacement. She can't do all the walking anymore, but still enjoys the parks. I know we will be seated towards the back of the section with an ECV for Fantasmic, but wasn't sure how WOC works. She could stand for the show if needed.

Wine Country looks good to me, but I think we are leaning towards Storytellers for the buffet due to a few picky eaters in our group of 6. Any recommendations? Thanks.

If you have a multi-generational group and picky eaters, Storytellers is probably your best bet.

Jungle cruise just popped up on the refurb list staring November 3rd…let’s hope it’s a quick one…
Where do you find this info? I haven’t seen it on the DL site or a couple other lists I’ve seen. Just curious so I can keep an eye out for anything else that might pop up.

It probably was an it glitch or something… it wasn’t on the list anymore wafted a couple of hours… (though I double checked before posting about it in the first place…)

Awesome - that's happy news for us since we arrive 11/1. We love Jungle Cruise in WDW - especially now that our kids our old enough to get the jokes. I've been looking forward to riding the original :-)

We will be there 11/1-11/5. This trip will just be my DH, DD 14, and me. This is a bonus trip since we just went in May, but I will but I will be attending a conference at the convention center down the street starting on the 6th, and I cannot be that close to DL and not visit! That would truly be torture!

We've done the desert party at WDW before and didn't like it really at all for the price BUT we did LOVE it at DCA for WOC. You get seats and are served vs sitting / standing in the reserved herd. But as always... ymmv!
