November 2015....is it going to be crowded??

We went around that week last year (picked due to crowd calendars). Crowds were not really bad, but it definitely felt more crowded than the calendars predicted.

I am booked Nov 13 to the 22 and was up at 6a on 180 +9 days out and lucked out and got everything I wanted pretty much when wanted. There are 3 of us with my DW and 5yo DD so I assume (I know dangerous) that 3 people are pretty much the same a 4 when it come to booking a table, don't think I have ever seen a table with just 3 seats. Some of our ADR's are Cry Pal our first full day for dinner, Ohana for Breakfast, BOG for lunch (didn't try for dinner), Back Yard BBQ, CRT, and Chef Mickeys. The first two I booked were the BBQ and CRT but on the last two full days. Believe it or not the one I could not get for when I wanted was Cape May, there was nothing showing at all for a Sunday night. Booked Rose and Crown instead and am happier with that. Was able to book Cape May another night and it will work out better. I later checked and Cape May did have plenty of availability that Sunday so there must have been a glitch when it first opened.

Now last year I booked a trip less then a month out for the end of Oct, think it was 27 days. Granted I didn't shoot that high, but got everything I wanted such as Cry Pal dinner, Tusker House lunch, Akershus diner, H&V breakfast, Chef Mickeys, and the HDDR. A couple were a little later then I wanted with a 5yo DD but we managed. Had to tweak a few as we got closer to get even better times so keep checking. I don't think H&V opened up for me until about a week out. I believe free dining was going on then too.

As others have said I think it's hard to say how busy it will be by how hard it is to get a reservation. IMO I think it easier to tell if the park will be lite, lots of ADR's available it will probably be lite. But are only so many tables available so there could be say 1000 ADR seats available per day. If 500 people go to the park and all book ADR's the are still 500 seats available. Now if 1000 people go to the park and all book ADR's the places are full and if 10000 or 100,000 people go to the park there are still only 1000 able to get seats. So once the ADR's reach capacity it's would be tough to tell how busy the park would be. Does that make sense? or did I do a bad job or explaining it??? I'm known to do that :)

This yr we want to try to see the Christmas lights so we decided to go 11/13-20. It has been nearly impossible to get any reservations for our "must" restaurants and everywhere I look people seem to be going the same week we are.

I believe the candlelight processional is going on then, and many do the dinner package.

That can't be the reason that Epcot's restaurants are booked up.

Candlelight Processional always begins on Friday, the day after Thanksgiving.
That would be Nov. 27 this year.

I believe free dining is the reason you are not getting your reservations. We went during that same week last year (free dining was offered) and we had little to no wait depending on which park we were in and what time it was. We only ate a few TS meals so dining was not an issue for us, but the crowd level was awesome.

We are going 11/13-11/21 and have gone that week now 3 years in a row. I've never had trouble getting the dining I wanted. Now we are flexible with our times so for instance we have a CRT @ 225pm, but we are fine with that. Believe ignoring not the trouble I'm having is with BBB! But I keep calling everyday to see if I can get my daugher in earlier that day, but we will make it work either way. We are just happy and grateful that we are able to go every year and make the most of it. Oh we are family of four.
I'm having trouble with BBB as well! I've booked a ressie at DTD but really want the MK location. The CM I spoke with said to call back 45 days before my trip and to continue calling from then on because that's when people cancel. I plan to do just that! Might work for you as well? Good luck!!

That's way the CM told me as well. She said after final payments are due.

Well hopefully some other reservations will open up between now and our trip. Really wanting our daughter to experience the castles while we are there.

I think I'm just gonna get creative and book some restaurants that are a little different this trip.... there are lots of choices so I won't worry....

We are going 11/14 through 11/18. We went during almost this same time 2 years ago. The reason you're getting no availability that week is simply Free Dining. I was afraid of the same thing that week, and it really was quite nice. Its difficult to get what you want dining-wise, but the crowds were great and the weather was too. Depending on where you're looking for Dining, it might be impacted by MVMCP. Its impossible to find any restaurants near MK during dinner on MVMCP nights. I know, cause I've been trying for two weeks!

We are normally September people but last year, decided to go in early/mid Dec to see the decorations. The crowd calendar showed much higher crowds than we've been used to but honestly, it was very manageable. We still did everything we wanted to do, and the Christmas decorations were so amazing! It was worth the higher crowds to get to see WDW decorated so beautifully.

What I liked the least was the cool temps. I prefer the hot Sept weather. I'm used to spraying myself with water to cool off. When we were there, the temps were in the 50's/60's (40's at night) until two days before we left when it got into the 70's. It was damp and chilly and that impacted my enjoyment far more than the higher crowds.

And I agree with those who say it is just getting busier overall. We notice it every Sept (will be there in a few weeks!). There just isn't really a slow time anymore.

We are going 11-1 to 11-6 and were able to get every reservation we wanted. By our experience, the parks are not crowded that time of year. And we've been a few times at that time of year

we are going in dec during FD and i got most of what i wanted. no princesses/anna elsa business, to be honest. only thing i could NOT get was either hollywood vine or sci fi drive in, nothing available any days were are there. i thought that was weird, just based on horrible reviews for h&v and meh reviews on sci fi... i couldn't get raglan road, but then was able to so keep trying. i am sure you will get some of what you hope for. good luck!
