I am so hoping that el nino will wait just a bit and not hit when I am there. Taking my 9 year old niece and her BFF and I would hate to have to deal with rain! LOL! I've been many times when it rains, just not with kids! Last time I went at this time in November the sun was shining so nicely!!!

Historically El Niño doesn't really bring the big rains until later in Dec. We will be there in early Nov too and have fingers crossed for great weather.

I, too, have my fingers crossed for good weather. My SOB (significantly older boyfriend) is more of a pessimist

Although I have witnessed some El Nino-specific rain in November (heavy, messy, hard to walk through and see 2 feet in front of me!), and I happened to be at Disneyland on one such November El Nino occasion, chances are that the messiest of the El Nino rain will probably begin at some point in December and then continue on here and there into next year, through the first part of spring. November will probably be spared most, if not all, of the El Nino mess.

Excited to see that paint the night and the fireworks will be running nightly in November! We always try to go "off season" and so we usually only have one chance to see the fireworks. Excited that we won't miss them!

Second trip to DLR for me, wifey and older daughter, first trip for smaller child. Will be after WDW (Art of Animation Resort, Grand Floridian), Disney Cruise (Disney Fantasy, Western CAribbean cruise) and afterwards we are heading to Aulani before heading back home to Sydney.

Second trip to DLR for me, wifey and older daughter, first trip for smaller child. Will be after WDW (Art of Animation Resort, Grand Floridian), Disney Cruise (Disney Fantasy, Western CAribbean cruise) and afterwards we are heading to Aulani before heading back home to Sydney.

After dreaming for years of going during the holidays, we finally get to! We will be there during thanksgiving weekend which I'm sure will be crowded! But I don't care! I am just so thankful we get to go and make one of our dreams come true! We are staying with my friend so no hotel. Friday/Saturday in the park. So excited!!

We'll be there Thanksgiving weekend too!! Hopefully the crowds won't be really horrible?!? It's our first trip to DL. We used all our vacation time going to WDW, so over a holiday weekend is what we have. Lol. So excited to see DL though!!

We finally get to visit during the holidays. Our first Holiday trip ever. We are going Nov. 27-30. Sheraton at the Park Ramada across the street from the entrance. Cannot wait to spill the beans to my DD9!!

Anyone have an opinion? We have the option now to go the week before thanksgiving. But I'm wondering because of the Star Wars whatever if the crowd levels will be just as bad?? Or would we be better off going that week before? I know nothing about how crowded it can get during the holidays.

It's really hard to say this year because the park has been much more busy than usual due to the 60th celebration. Times that should have been a bit slower have been very busy. It's really just too hard to predict, I think.
