NOVEMBER 2012 Trip Planners Thread~ Everybody is Welcome~Part 3 already!

Hi!

I am hoping to jump on your bandwagon here!! Im trying to convince DH that we need a little get away to see the Christmas Decorations the week after Thanksgiving. What is everyone's thoughts on that week? I think we'd probably stay at the POP with Free dining (is anyone upgrading that?) or if I get super convincing, we've always wanted to try the Wilderness Lodge!! Love to do MVMCP as well!!

Any tips would be appreciated!!

Thats when we are going! I hear the crowds are super low! and decorations are up too

While reading all the ideas of things to do and see, I decided we should stay an extra day! Now we'll be staying November 23rd to the 29th! I know we'll be going to the Magic Kingdom on the 27th for MVMCP but haven't decided on the other days! I think I may be more excited than my daughter!

*cough* I would avoid that like the plague! It causes massive crowds! Last year apparently Justin Beiber was there and it was packed! We (maning DH and I ) chose that weekend for a short recon mission for this big trip LOL(hey any excuse to go to Disney right?) and we avoided MK.... I heard it was horrible on Main st!

I just added another ADR to our trip. Now we have Cape May Cafe. I saw somewhere that this was the best place to interact with Minnie and since I have a huge (well she's kinda short) Minnie fan DD I made it work. Now I moved Tony's to my open BOG spot, but I'm fine losing Tony's for BOG anyway... Now if I could just make my CRT dinner ressie a bit earlier on my MVMCP day I'll be all set. Oops, I still need to get BOG and Dessert Party to truly be all set....

And can anyone please make November come a little bit earlier this year? Pleeeaaassee.

I so seriously considered doing that myself still sort of wish I did but I wanted my mom and my daughter and myself to all have the same first trip experience soo I didn't do it, but I, oh, so wanted to...

If ESPN picks it up, it could be a possibility... I didn't know there was a ESPN club! Of course we have never been over to the board walk! Thanks!

That is a CBS game this year according to the schedule, but there are over 100 TVs in the ESPN Club and something like 30+ channels so I don't see why CBS college football won't be on! Unless they do something like restrict everything to ABC/ESPN?!? I've seen other non-ESPN stuff on in there before though - good luck.

yest was Friday to Monday and we stayed at POR and ate at Tusker House and Sci-Fi.... and did MVMCP and the Dessert party!!!! LOVED it all! So thats how I know we will

The actual taping is Saturday Dec 1st and they do some of the shows thurs 11/29. some of the other things on friday

From reading what others have said that have gone during taping, parade days are great days to go. Thursday and Friday they will be taping the performances, which are in the hub area. Saturday they tape the parade portion on Main St. Main St will be packed but the rest of the park is not bad at all. We will be there Friday. Historically they open up MK at 8 am this day.
Someone asked about the tapings impact on MVMCP...taping is only during the day do the party will be the same as any other night.

On easywdw they reccommend AVOIDING Mk on Saturday because of the parade taping BUT the Thursday should be fine and Friday night should be fine

The Christmas parade taping STARTS on Thursday and the BIG days to avoid are Friday and Saturday... u all are gonna give me a heart attack! I had to go look! I am going to MK on that Thursday..... easywdw says it should be fine as they are just taping some of the music things


Sorry for giving you all a panic attack but I was having one when I saw on easywdw calendar that the taping started on Thursday as I thought I had heard it would be on Saturday! Thank you for the clarification and again sorry

Our Magic Kingdom day is Thursday BUT with it closing early and no real night time entertainment, we are taking our chances. I think itll be ok. We are NOT going on Fri or Sat. Thurs is our BBB and CRT day as well as Ohana and I CANT change them. Oh well. I guess I f-ed that part up LOL

Yeah I think I'm going to rearrange our days. I mean it could be just fine on that Thursday, but we don't have Park Hoppers so if we get there and it's packed then there's nothing we can do. Better safe than sorry I think. Still, a pain, but at least it means I get the fun of making more ADRs?

So everyone on here has been reading how I have been going back and forth with whether or not we should do MK our first day... This is what I want and I want to know if it sounds goofy
arrive go to MK
eat at LTT
explore MK
head to DTD about 4
shop/have fun
eat at T-Rex
DisneyQuest

I want to do it this way because I have been reading so much about how the Christmas Parade taping will impact on Thursday, thats our main MK day and I want to get some more MK time in. We have a breakfast, BBB,CRT all planned for that day(Thursday) so thats not a focus on ride day. Anyway if I do the above schedule ^^^ then that only leaves one night for 1900 PF and thats friday night after the water park-which we are having 1900 PF for breakfast-is that wierd? Going to the SAME place again for dinner??? I feel like I keep switching around the same 3 or 4 meal places (with taking MM out its llike 4 restaurants) and I NEED to come to some sort of descision by this weekend~ Just a little vent :? Any help would be wonderful though you all have helpes SOOOO much already
