forgot to ask...I need clarification on the BOG! Tomorrow is just a release of the menu and possible date to start ADRs correct? Or will people start ADRs tomorrow? If so, I have to look at my plans again tonight... I am just a wee bit confused to the level of excitement!!
Also, as far as airfare--we always use our rewards points gained from our business each year..before it was flyer miles to dollar ratio, we always wait till the price drops so we don't use as many miles and the last few years we have gotten all our airfare covered. It's just been a matter of watching for the lowest price. We got a new card a few months back and it came with an intro bonus for a few thousand miles, so we knew we had a little, but not sure how much--dh just got off the phone and at first we thought--oh good!! We are right there, maybe by the end of July, when we plan to book, we will have enough points--especially since the prices are dropping, but after he talked to the lady (I almost said the CM!:rotfl: )...it's so many miles for a round trip ticket. Period. no haggling. No waiting for a good price to get optimal mileage. Just a flat rate kind of deal. Done.:yay::yay::yay: He told me to go ahead and book our flights and be done with it!!!! So,...i just wanted to share my bit of good news!! :cheer2:

Excellent News!!!:cheer2:Always good to get another thing checked off the to do list! I'm not thinking that they will be taking ADR's tomorrow. The press release just seemed to say that they would be releasing the menu (or part of the menu) and information on when ADR's will be taken and when BOG will open. Can't wait to find out the details!!!!

It has been so much fun. Sometimes I stop and think about what it is going to be like when all of our trips are over. That just depresses me. And not just because the trip is over.....but because this thread will be over. :sad2::sad1:

 So we should all just go with mommyof3 on her cruise. :rotfl:

Actually hubby and I would love to cruise Alaska.

Sign us up for the Alaska cruise :thumbsup2 My DH is always talking about going to Alaska, he would love it.

Ok I will catch up on EVERYTHING for the list tomorrow....so many changes lol

Thanks all for the thank yous and the encouragement:) I love all of you!!!!! and this thread:)
Smileybug~ Congrats on the new DIL!!!!!!!

Ugh! So I'm a chronic changer, too, apparently. I changed the CP package! Still Friday 11/23/12, but now at Le Cellier at 11:45am and seeing the 5:00 show! Sorry! :rolleyes1

Thanks for all the congrats ya'll. :goodvibes

Erin I'm another one that really does appreciate all you have done with this thread.

I can see this ending up on the community board when we are done here. I think there are just to many of us that aren't going to want to let go.:grouphug:

Ending up on the community board would be great!:)

That's such wonderdful news and I am so happy for you and your family. Now if only my daughter's BF would do the same. She is dying for a disney proposal...and I know she would absolutely flip out!!

Good luck to your DD! She sounds like a smart girl! :cloud9:

Not Disney. It isn't them. My husband and I are the Disney lovers in the family. The kids laugh at us, tell us to have a wonderful time and send us on our way. :goodvibes

:goodvibes

Thank you!! The planning has begun. :goodvibes

I think I can speak for everyone..... The CLP reservations were crazy. :rotfl:I'm almost afraid to even think about going for a BOG reservation.
I just hope we don't crash the system.

I need time to recover from the CLP ressies! Stressful day...in the morning AND tonight.....between being on hold forever this morning and then my stupid phone dropping the call (when I was driving to work and had been on hold for 25 minutes already and I had to hold AGAIN for 35 minutes WHILE AT WORK!). Then, tonight, changing to Le Cellier online and my dumb iPad wouldn't confirm, so then did on laptop. UGH! I really need to recover!

I took the leap and cancelled my pre rd adr for crystal palace... ACK! Oh well. we changed our schedule back to the original plan so I cancelled a few things

:lmao: I can't even laugh at you, because I have the sickness, too!

I am not there for CPL so I didn't have the stress this morning, but I am hoping for BOG so I will be happy to help you crash the system. I'm just hoping its open when we are there. I don't even mind doing lunch, but figure it will be REALLY crowded!
Is anyone planning on decorating their room for the holidays? We are there too early, but often go thanksgiving week. Last year we brought and decorated a Disney christmas tree and put some lights in our windows. I like walking to the room at night and seeing everyone's lights on balconies and in windows!

We have never decorated our room, but it's a great idea!:)

I hope you all have happy thoughts of BOG. :goodvibes Maybe all of those happy thoughts will lead to good news tomorrow. :goodvibes

Happy thoughts and dreams and hopefully a good night's sleep, although I guess it's already too late for THAT!:guilty:

I love this, hopefully it will be very DETAILED BOG news, no more Disney-vagueness!:lmao: Sweet dreams all!

Yes, please no Disney-vagueness! I can't handle anymore!:upsidedow

Well, better get to bed. 6am will be here fast! DD just got home from a One Direction concert. She had a blast and is SOOOO excited, but I am half-asleep! :rotfl: See you all tomorrow!

I am up still looking at my schedule.. Ideally Id love to do Epcot our last day, all these ressies make me NEED to do DHS because of fitting moms 50's PT cafe in BUT I will look at everything again

Good morning.

We are doing Epcot on our last day. :thumbsup2

Ok I figured it out I think. The only thing Im not sure of is where Coral Reef fits in! I can either cut CM and fit it there(our epcot night) or keep CM and change the CLP from GG to Coral Reef(which dad booked) GG looks neat but Im not sure my family will like it. I looked at the food pics....ew and the dessert? yucky...we may skip it lol

Good morning.

I can't believe how fast things went yesterday.

boy I have not read in 2 days as I am doing a massive throw away of toys etc (while my daughter is at day camp LOL) and we are on page 9 of thread 3!!!!

Impressive!!

I still need to decide if we are keeping Cm! Its a tradition to do a dinner there. If we do CM, itll be our last nights dinner then for the CLP its either GG or Coral Reef :faint: this is giving me a headache

If CM is a tradition......How important is it that ya'll keep the tradition?
:confused3

Okay.....be honest. How many times have ya'll checked the Disney Blog site? :lmao:

Sign us up for the Alaska cruise :thumbsup2 My DH is always talking about going to Alaska, he would love it.

We have actually started to look at the Disney cruise to Alaska. But, I can't imagine skipping Disney. I guess we just haven't grown up enough to really want other vacation destinations. But I am starting to gather information on it. So maybe thats a sign of maturing. :rotfl2:

Oh, and one more thing..............................................DON'T DRINK THE KOOL-AID in this thread. It makes you do things. Like add a day to your vacation and feel the need to cruise. :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Good Morning everyone!! Welcome to the start of another full and exciting day I bet with the release of the newest info. on BOG. Can't wait to hear all about it. Everyone here is still asleep and its nice and quiet. ahhhh :) Looks like you all are up early again this morning. We are planning 2 MK days maybe 3, its our favorite park- 2nd being EPCOT- love it there too. Cannot get a dinner reservation for Le Cellier what so ever for any day of our stay, so disappointed....but will keep trying in hopes of a cancellation. Have to get some work done today...so I will be checking in frequently to see if there is any news. If there is..could someone please post the link that would be awesome. Thanks so much.

Keep trying for the LeCellier reservation. You know how we are changing all the time. I'm getting ready to cancel one. (Because right now I have 2) But I go the end of the month.

Wow! Already to 9 pages! :rotfl2:

Add me to the Delaware list, too! We live in Frankford, and I work in Ocean View (at the Coastal Point newspaper, specifically...). Wow! Amazing that we have so many local DisBoards members going in November! :cool1:

Congrats to Smileybug and the kids! I keep imagining the day when my son is making those kinds of life decisions, and I can only hope my potential DIL "just fits"! What a great thing!

I'm in full-on nerves mode about BoG! Just got the Parks Blog email in my box, getting my adrenaline up, only to realize it was for yesterday's posts. :scared: Nothing new on BoG yet! The menu will be a major deciding factor for us, so I have such high hopes!

I also decided to book us a dinner at Coral Reef, after reading a new review yesterday. When we went last year, the food was good, but the service was poor. And when I checked for an updated menu when I was making my ADRs, there were only two seafood entrees (a complaint I had seen elsewhere recently), so I went with Le Cellier for my birthday dinner, even if only 8:45 was available (making us have to go back for Illuminations on another night). Then this review comes out and talks glowingly about improved service and mostly seafood entrees on the menu, and I checked for an updated menu, and sure enough there's four seafood entrees! So I got a better time at Coral Reef, but now I'm fixated on beet salad at Le Cellier and how much everyone seems to love eating there. I kept both ressies, for now, but now I have a hard decision to make... Any input?

I'm also still pondering whether to go to Universal this trip. I decided not to last year because, while I really, really want to see HP, I heard the crowds and lines were terrible, and we don't do roller coasters, and that seems to leave little there for us but atmosphere and souvenirs we could buy online.
This time, it seems crowds should be less, but the benefits of HP are still slim, even if I intensely want the experience. Is it worth the time away from WDW and the cost of admission? And if we're going, should we do both parks? DS will be 7 and won't ride "adult" rides without me, so no coasters, nothing too scary. Is there enough there besides HP that he would enjoy to make it worthwhile? We have PH tickets for our entire stay, so could do another WDW day or even Sea World for a second time... And part of me says wait on HP until there are more rides, attractions that are my speed, years down the road.
Any thoughts/experiences?

Someone had asked about the walking distance at AoA from LM to the buses being 20 minutes! I had read it was more like 10 minutes, so that didn't put us off. Theming-wise, we would have preferred Cars, but the cost difference for two of us is ridiculous. Instead, we'll walk through Cars when we're there.
