about the T-Rex ressie, did you try calling them? Thats how I got my ressie

I was able to call T-Rex directly and got a later resv. On Disney site, could not get any later than 3:30, but calling them directly got a 6pm.

I totally understand!! That is the one thing that is the hardest to get and then once you do, you tend to second guess yourself and the plan you have tried to put into action by messing with it. That's why I had it 98% together when I added our extra day and when I couldn't get the ressie I wanted and realized I probably never would I researched as quickly as I could and made a ADR to a place I know we will love! I am excited to try Jiko and explore AKL which BTW, we have never been to, if you can believe that. I am so excited for this trip you have no idea, its been so long for us and so much has changed now. My kids are now 23 and 15 hard to believe the last time we were there, they were kids.

Oh yeah I am already doing that too! We're going 13 nights and I really want to make it 14, but I have to make myself stop or I will end up moving to WDW But I'm sure you guys will have an awesome time. Before you know it maybe you'll be there with grandkids! That's even crazier to think about.

OMG! Lets not rush things, lol!! I dont think I am ready for that just yet. My oldest is not even married yet or even close. But then again, you never know. She is a disney nut...she so wants a disney world proposal in Cinderella's Castle. Her boyfriend alreadys know this, lol!! I guess time will tell.

Just want to say how thankful I am that I already had free dining and didn't need to book it today.

My dd7 starting get sick last night and got sick about 12 times overnight. I took her to the ped. they sent her to the er...now we are in the picu. She is dehydrated. I can't imagine having the extra stress of trying to get free dining with all this going on.

Also thankful that she got this sick now and not the week after Thanksgiving!

Anyone know which hotels have photopass photographers? I know Grand Floridan, Poly, Beach Club and AKL...but what about Contemporary or Port of Orleans?

I'm not really sure what to think about FD right now. I did the math last week and we won't save much by moving from AoA-LM to another Value for FD, since there's only two of us. Not worth it to me, savings-wise. But I was holding out hope that there might be a handful of LM rooms available for FD under GP. Now, with Visa holders getting a three-day head start and even them reporting almost zero success getting LM with FD, I'm not sure it's even worth calling on Thursday.
I was told AoA-LM is NOT officially excluded but that there's simply no availability. I had also seen a report of someone booking it today (maybe a PIN someone didn't know about?). So, I had hoped there might be a chance, but it doesn't look good at all.
So, while so many are celebrating booking FD or no-cost upgrades or added days, I'm getting a bitter taste in my mouth from all this. I don't want to have our trip lessened by Dis excluding us from an offer I've been waiting for for months. And I'm just kicking myself for not having considered doing the bounceback last year... Right now, a 30% room discount sounds amazing... I had been on the fence about Universal, but this may have made my decision for me, because of the cost.

Meanwhile, I think I've locked in our ADRs, except BoG. I have a likely slot for that, though. I'm also still hunting a Le Cellier ressie earlier than 8:45 on my birthday. If you want 8:50, you're still good to go. Not a single one earlier... But the ADRs, at least, are feeling good right now.

My final dilemma for the moment is deciding for sure whether to make this trip a surprise for DS or not. That's the plan right now, but I'm not sure whether the payoff is as great as weeks of anticipation and counting down...

But it might help to have DV have a head start. How many of them cancelled their AoA LM room reservation and switched somewhere else? It can't hurt to try. And keep you eye on the boards here.

Welcome! Our trip is 11/15-11/24 and we're at POR.

We're doing CLP on 11/23, the 5:00 show and OUR Le Cellier reservation is at 11:45am! We'll be there at the same time!

I have four possible dates I can do BOG. I'll shoot for my first choice and go on down the list if it is not available. I have them listed and ready to go when I call.

ETA: And I'll start trying to call a minute or two before 7 and keep calling. That's all you can do, right? Plus, I'll have my laptop open and on the Disney website in case online ressies are available. That's actually what I'm hoping for!

Sounds like my plan, but I only have 2 options to fit it in. Hoping to do TS dinner on one of our 2 MK days, and hopefully CS lunch on the other.

Oh, I'm so sorry! I hope she's feeling much better SOON. Our last trip to WDW was Thanksgiving week 2010. My DD, who was 11 at the time, was totally FINE until about 10 MINUTES before we arrived at POR. Alternated Motrin and Tylenol every few hours for 4+ days and then I got sick! DD and I are BOTH hoping we don't have a repeat performance this year.

Well looking at the dates it would cost me $315 extra for free dining by doing 2 days at Music (for 5) and settling at Riverside for 2 days. I think I will stay at Riverside for all four nights (11/7-11/10) instead of trying to get something extra. I have a couple dinning ressies but I am going to pay out of pocket because I won't have all the cash by Sept 23rd when my final payment is due.


It would save me a few from my plans but the money from Teppen Edo and Liberty Trees comes out of money I have for Oct and early Nov to be put aside.

Speaking of BOG.....What is everyone game plan if you have a few different spots BOG could fit into?

I have the open spots numbered in order that I would like it and I am just going to try for them one by one. Of course hoping to get my first choice spot, which is my first day of the trip, our first day at MK. And a wide open dinner spot. I think I'll try a few different times for that day before moving on to the next one. Hopefully since that day is a blackout date for FD'ing that it will be easier to book then the ones when FD'ing comes into play...

Now this morning I'm already beginning to wonder about next year ! I've never done it before but I'm thinking about the bounce back offer, does everyone get a chance at one? Is it a room only or is dining included and can you change it around? Most importantly, do you have, and I guess you would have to pay a deposit right then when you book it ? Also, if you get a bounce back and free dining comes round later, can you add that or would you then loose the discount as you most likely can't combine discounts?

Now I just have to make a decision on whether I want to really, truely cancel my La Hacienda ADR and rebook the San Angel... I really hate how they've changed the tables there so that everyone is all smooshed together .

BB, anyone can book it by calling a number from your resort rooms phone and booking it before you check out. (I think the number is listed on the tv) its FDing or room discount and you can book a package(even with a room discount) I have...not a BB though. then if something better comes out, you can change. BUT the deposit has to be paid before you check out

I think I would sit tight on my LM reservation to see what unfolds. Remember withe the summer FD offer the LM rooms were released later, I know since I almost booked FD when they became available but then decided the heat in Sept would just be too much.

I priced out staying at PBR @ US when everyone was getting pins and I got nothing. Much better room prices there, and I thought about them yesterday when I once again felt slighted having to wait till Thursday for FD
