We are DVC and I am so glad. Especially when I hear all of your dilemmas. We don't get free dining, but I don't like to spend the amount of time it takes to sit down for too many meals. And we get a really nice discount on APs. Getting to use mine 4 times this year!

Hello all.

First time poster, long time lurker.

Getting prepped for my trip in Nov. the 9th-16th (yay!)
just looking at how many have plans for this time of year has my eyebrow raised.

Between Jersey week, Food & Wine, and the 1/2 marathon that weekend, I'm wondering if the crowds are going to be insane.

Still waiting on Winter specials and/or the exclusive PIN code to hit..nadda yet.

I'm so beyond excited right now... I'm overseeing our family trip (of 11 adults total!!) and have honestly been so jealous of all your FD PINs. I've called a few times, to no avail. This morning I figured I'd try it again...YES!! I have it attached to my info! Nov. 9-15th. And we are staying at AoA which is included. I'm on freakin' cloud nine!!! Just saved my family tons! Goes to show, pixie dust will come to us all in time.

Yay! We are going at the same time and also staying at AoA!!! Yay! For free dining!

I have an ADR quandary. I booked Hoop Dee Doo, but have since found out I won't have time to make it from there to MK in time for MSEP, which is an absolute MUST. So... I either have to forgo HDD or cancel Whispering Canyon. Decision...decisions...

On one hand Whispering Canyon would be fun, and we can get back to the resort at a decent hour to relax and go to bed early (this was the original plan). On the other hand, I've heard such wonderful things about HDD. I'm not sure the kids would "get" the jokes, but I think they would enjoy the music and dancing. It will be a later night out than planned.

Suggestions, please!

Well, after thinking about it for a couple hours last night. I finally talked to DH about it. (I don't usually discuss Disney with him. I just make the decisions - that's how we BOTH like it!) Anyway, when talking to DH I came to the conclusion that I didn't really want to change anything. I like my ADRs and I like my itinerary for the week.

Sooo... no HDDR for us. As much as I want to do it. It just doesn't fit into my schedule. I don't want to take a chance on being late for MSEP, and don't want to cut our day at AK short either.

I guess that means we'll just have to plan another trip to Disney!

I agree. You can't do it all in one trip anyway. So why stress everyone, or cut time short on things that really are important to you.

Don't get me wrong I am happy for all the people that have gotten pins, but I to am getting pretty frustrated how the pin/discount process works. It almost seems unethical for Disney to handle it the way they do. Make the offers public already.

This is our first trip and I don not know how people can afford to this almost annually. My trip for 5 is fast approaching $10,000 and we are not even there yet.

Im good I have missed you! I actually have to say-I dont care anymore- when my family asks if we are doing this or that..... I am happy with the plan and I know they are curious BUT I am over it I want to get excited about Disney My photopass+ cd and voucher came yesterday so i started to get excited about it! Still spreading pixi dust......to my family.

My husband received a a big mailing with Minnie Mouse on it yesterday. I was so excited, then I opened it. The room only discount is the one going on now that has to be booked by Aug 14. Then on the other side was a pin code for FD. I'm sorry, I know alot of people like the FD and are waiting to get a pin code for it, but it's just not right for my family.

On the advice from my TA I went ahead anyways and went to the site and used the code just to see what the cost would be. OH MY! It would cost us 2X more then what we are paying for just room only. Not to mention not everyone in my family is hungry at the same time.

I will say we are staying in a Treehouse Villa and have a AAA discount, so maybe that is why the cost seem so high to me. So I am back to waiting for a room only code, hoping it is a better deal then our AAA discount. Plus havinig a full kitchen, I plan on utilizing it as much as possible. With having a 16 year old on this trip I need to have all types of food on hand 24/7. I hate hearing the dreadful "I'm hungry and there's nothing to eat!" coming from him. And that is usually 15 minutes after he has already ate.

Please add me to the November list. Our dates are Nov.25-30. We're also doing 1 and a half to 2 days at Universal. DH and DS13 are really looking forward to WWoHP. I'm trying to go by Easywdw suggestions, but having some trouble trying to squeeze everything in. Have to make ADRs Tues. UGGGGH! Been trying to get FD for the past two days with no luck. This is our first time in Nov., so I have a couple questions: Anybody know what time they turn on the Osbourne lights? Are the MVMCP fireworks much different than Wishes? Will the Parade Taping on Thurs. at MK really not make that much of a difference in crowds as Easywdw says? Thanks!
