NOVEMBER 2012 Trip Planners Part 2~yes there IS another!

I adore the obsessiveness of Disney planning. I love everything about it. Gosh I am so happy!!!!!!!!!!!

This is our first trip and I don not know how people can afford to this almost annually. My trip for 5 is fast approaching $10,000 and we are not even there yet.

$10,000??!! Where the heck are you staying and for how long? Thats seems crazy high to me and wonder if you may be able to cut that down? We go every year w/ 5-6 ppl and we don't ever get that close including w/ air fare.

Im good I have missed you! I actually have to say-I dont care anymore- when my family asks if we are doing this or that..... Tell them it is a surprise or give them a copy of the final itinerary. Let them know you have taken everyones feelings and suggestions into account and did the best you could. I am sure you will have a great trip and as much as we love Disney sometimes it is good to step back.

oh yes you are right. The step back has cleared my head then I dove in and just made executive discions and then cancelled the rest so I wouldnt be tempted anymore to change it

I completely agree! I'm getting really anxious about the fall discounts because they'll determine whether or not I'll add an extra day at a deluxe resort or not .

It will determine actually go during Jersey week. If FD is excluded for that week, we may change our trip to Nov 1 to get FD. It's not ideal for the kids to miss 3 days of school, but FD would save us so much $ since we are planning on purchasing the dining plan.

I'm totally in the bitter barn over here . My mom got the new FD mailer . This is the first trip that they aren't planning on coming with us!!! My mom now feels guilty about it -- poor mom! They are trying to save up to go to Scotland next year, so they're foregoing on this trip. I am back to considering canceling and booking DCL out of Galveston (our home port) instead. It will be cheaper, and we've never done DCL before . Not sure what to do . --Katie

Will be going Nov. 27th thru Dec. 2nd. Staying at POP.

Have been calling to try and get FD, but no luck so far. Keeping fingers crossed.

This will be my two granddaughters first trip 6 yr and 3 yr old. Can't come soon enough.

We will be there at the same time at AOA with our almost 3yr and 6 yr.....girls are started to excided!!

Seems kind of strange to me, but today I also got the FD PIN in the mail...we already received the free dining when I called and made our original reservations. I just wonder why they would mail me a PIN now when our trip is already booked. I am still really happy and excited about our upcoming trip!!

Wanted to post again because I think my previous post got lost. This thread moves very fast. I step away for a minute and there are 3 pages to catch up on !

We would like to be added to the November travelers party please. We will be arriving on Sunday, November 11th through the 16th staying at All Star Movies and attending MVMCP on Thursday, November 15th.

With my family there are 4 of us going - - me, DH, DD 12 & DD 5, although we are still waiting to see if my DH12 can get the time off from school.

Also going down is my BFF with her DD7 and her parents.

After calling a couple of times we finally had a pin for FD which pushed us to book. We have decided on which parks we are going to be in each day. Now just need to book our ADRs. This is our first time on the DP and we have upgraded from QS to regular DP. Any must do suggestions?

Please pardon my ignorance, but what exactly is Jersey Week? I have seen it referenced many times and just wonder what it is all about. Thanks alot. Any ideas of when we can start booking CLP? Just wondering...we want to go the first night it opens on the 23rd and I know it will book up fast. Thanks in advance.

I know this was a few pages ago, just trying to catch up! In NJ, teachers can attend a huge teachers' convention in Atlantic City on the Thurs and Fri of the 1st full week of Nov. Kids/teachers get a 4 day weekend. This coming Nov is special b/c all kids/teachers will have off for voting Tues the same week, making it only a 2 day week for some schools and some schools just giving everyone the whole week off. I would expect more Jersey folks than usual during this Nov. week. My NJ family will be there!

With 2 DDs I would definitely recommend one of the princess meals... Cinderella's Royal Table or Akershus are both wonderful, but there is just something about being in the castle. I would also recommend Tusker House or Chef Mickey's. We prefer Tusker House.

Allears.net has a menu for every restaurant and ratings for each restaurant. It's a good place to get an idea of what each restaurant is about. Have fun planning!!!
