November 2012 Trip planners #4~almost Disney time! Everyone welcome!

Let's keep out fingers crossed that the tropical depression headed toward FL next week dissipates and doesn't cause major harm to anyone. Would not like to see all our trip plans gone with the wind.

I've got lots to catch up on.

First off we're at 79 days today. But DD4 decided to go nuts on the count down chain and ripped off all the numbers up until 67!

School thing - DD4 starts junior kindergarten this year and DS6 will be starting grade 2! The cut off here is Dec. 31 and they start school at 4 so DS was actually 3 for the first 6 weeks of his JK year. They start on Sept. 4 which is kind of crappy since they only finished on June 29th. Where has the summer gone to? I can't believe we're almost in September!

Erin I noticed you're missing our time on our Teppan Edo ADR. It's on Nov. 11 @ 1:30pm.

I'm kind of glad that BOG won't officially be open before we leave. Still hoping to try and get a lunch there with a soft opening but its not a vacation breaker. I really hope everyone that's still looking for an ADR there gets one.

We will only have one official day in WDW while all the holiday stuff should be up and completed. (I assume Nov 9th since that is the first day listed for Osborne Lights). We extended our trip to come home on the 10th so that we can see all the Christmas stuff on the 9th. Besides my lovely dream of seeing Osbourne Lights at DHS at night, what else do we NEED to see that day? We've never been at WDW for Christmas decor and festivities!

For reference, we're just two adults.

Yes the first instalment will be enough. Just not sure if we will get it by the 11. One would think it wouldn't take that long to arrive if done on the 3rd, but nothing suprises me anymore.

Found out today we are in a similar boat. The money we counted on for our trip may not be available in time either. Here's wishing us both pixie dust!

No matter, within a year I WILL be at WDW with my kiddos no matter what! I may pick some alternate dates and start on ADRs too. That was a good suggestion.

Found out today we are in a similar boat. The money we counted on for our trip may not be available in time either. Here's wishing us both pixie dust!

No matter, within a year I WILL be at WDW with my kiddos no matter what! I may pick some alternate dates and start on ADRs too. That was a good suggestion.

I will keep my fingers crossed for us both. We have until May at the latest. This trip is mostly for our exchange student, but it will happen. I hope in November, but if not our next choice is January. Either way pretty grateful we can even attempt to go on a vacation.

We are actually a CP 8:05 am on first full day tradition. Amazing to be one of the few ones in the park for an hour on your first morning.

Where to begin? You have to see the castle if it has the ice on it, all 4 trees, Epcot everywhere, the resorts decor, if Candlelight is on, at least walk by to hear awesome music, but to be honest OL are my very favorite thing. Have a great time!

Spent half my day tearing through my closets trying to find my camcorder. We've got a really nice one that is MIA in the house. We can find the cords and the charger, but the camera itself is hiding. My wife asked me why I was looking for it today. I explained "I've got less than 3 months to find it!"

I'm sure I put it in a safe place....somewhere...

I love watching Christmas movies long before Christmas gets here. And the Santa Claus series is one of my favorites! I usually end up watching Christmas movies the most when I am sick. Always brings back the best feelings and memories!

This is why I watch them throughout the year as well! That and coming on the DIS to talk about our happy place!! Makes all of life's boo boos feel better!

Ok i'm not sure how many remember DH school messing everything up, and us giving our savings over. Apparently the VA and the school have sorted everything. Well they have said the money they owe us will be givin back to us in 2 installments, and all monies should be returned around November 1st. Our payment to Disney is Due October 11. I hope that maybe the first part will be to us by then since they will process the 1st half near Oct 3. If not is there anything I can do, or do I just cancel if I don't get the money in time. Oh and that money that was in our savings would have been nice. DH truck broke down 2 nights ago. Luckily he knows how to fix stuff, but now we are really tight. This is why we have a savings. I will add that the VA rep had his paperwork just sitting on her desk, and it messed up everything with the college. Ok ok vent over.. Very frustrating, but atleast at some point we will get it all back. After this I will need our trip to WDW.

What really stinks is, they want their money by a certain time...or else!!! But on the return, they can take their sweet time. Hope it all works out for November.

Disney usually gives you until 30 days out to have everything paid. (Their grace period) But I encourage you to call and explain. I'm willing to bet they will work with you. Don't give up yet.

Since yesterday I only had 1 patient to see and spent most of the day shopping......I do have a long work day today but that's ok. I have a lot to do so I probably won't be on much today but hope everyone has a magical day!!

Shoot! It didn't work! Well, it was from the Disney parks blog about the new show for the castle that is replacing the MM&Y show. It looks Amazing and will be up some time in November.
