November 2012 Trip planners #4~almost Disney time! Everyone welcome!

So does this mean? Will regular people like us who are not DVC, AP, etc, be able to go in to the areas in early November?

That would be so cool. Anyone know with the soft opening, if it is everyone, will Be Our Guest be opening more reservations earlier?

According to all the different dates that are exclusvely for different groups (AP, DVC, CMs, D23), looks like very slim chance any "regular" folks will get in on the dates between 10/20 and 11/5.

Woohoo! We got our Mickey Mail today! :cool1::cool1::cool1::banana::banana::banana:

Haven't had a chance to look at it because the kids are up, but we'll take a look through it tonight since they are heading off to a friend's house for the night.

With the new hours we'll also look at our schedule. I'm thinking we won't make any real changes since our park days are kind of tied to our ADRs. The only thing I might want to change would be our F! reservation. Currently we're scheduled for dinner at 3:45pm. With the second F! show we could do a more reasonable dinner time, although as of right now it's not looking like there are open times. I'll give a call in on Monday and see.

How does that calendar work? are the hours posted per park the full hours INCLUDING Extra magic? or are the extra magic hows in addition? /like on Nov 10, it says that magic kingdom is open 8am -12 am with extra magic hours in the PM and wishes at 10...does this mean the park is open til 3 am? I'm so confused lol

Read this on another site:

Looks like bad news for late October-early November folks. Little chance of soft openings of the FLE between 10/20 and 11/5 unless you are a CM, D23 member, AP holder, or DVC owner. We are not counting on seeing soft openings during our 11/1-11/6 trip, but if we happen to luck out and get to see the new area, I will consider it an extra special bit of Disney magic.

I am excited about extended hours during November, though... :goodvibes

That's a bummer! I was really forward to seeing it. I guess will ha e to wait for the next time we are able to go.

If I understand it correctly the evening hours are 3 hours extra and the morning hours are 1 hour early. This does mean that MK will be open until 3am on some nights. I'm hoping that means the next morning will be lighter crowds, as we have our first MK day on a day after 3am EMH.

Are the walls down, and just the attractions not open except at certain times. We would be happy just seeing what these looked like when there in November, regardless of being able to go inside them?

That, I don't know. I saw some pics that looked like at least some walls were down, but they had a row of tall planters on wheels covering up the entrance area. Don't know if you can see beyond them or not, but I'm guessing you won't be able to enter past them.

Hi Everyone!

Thanks for this thread, we are really looking forward to our Nov. trip!

BUT....I'm confused.....we are arriving on Nov 10th staying at POR until the 18th. We aren't planning to hit the parks until the 12th due to the crazy crowds that weekend. (I'm aware of all the activity going on that weekend, F&W, Veteran's Day,Jersey week, Golf tourney, etc.)

According to touringplans and easywdw, crowds look light/moderate most of the week. But, I was playing around on the WDW online reservation site and noticed all the resorts are booked, even mid-week. I asked a CM, but she had no information except that the resorts were full. Should we expect the parks to be packed? We often visit this time of year and the parks have been very manageable (never empty, but nice) .

Does anyone, maybe a CM reading this, have an explanation. There are even rooms available over Thanksgiving week still available and the parks are crazy full those days.

Thanks for any information

There is a big convention - officially at the Swan/Dolphin, but with something like 5000 attendees, plus their families. That could be part of the resort jam.

We arrive Nov. 12th but no Mickey Mail yet. :confused3 We've got ADRs at Boma Nov. 13, Cinderella's RT on Nov. 14 and Chef Mickey Nov. 16, plus MVMCP on Nov. 15; still thinking we want to make more but not sure of our schedule. First time to WDW!

Man you get behind when you don't check in for a week. I love the Mickey shirts with the sharpies. My daughter would love making that. We are under 40 days now.:cool1::cool1::cool1::banana::banana::banana:

Still no Mickey Mail or ME tags.

Yesterday we had our amazing race for our church. We have a very nice sized youth group and had 14 teams with one team of 3 people. The kids had a blast as well as adults. I sign up to be a driver each year as they want the kids to be safe. I had to take DD with me and before we even made it out of the parking lot with ended up with my 5 yr old cousin in the car as well. They loved going along even though they didn't get to do the activities.

Between work, school, ladies volleyball(church), awana, and any other activies that pop up free time is getting hard to come by. I still need to plan our window decorarations. DD has to pick out what she wants since it is for her birthday. I see something pink and glittery in our future....lol

19 more days! 19 looks so much closer than 20. Lol. My whole family has a nasty cold so wevare feeling really under the weather. I guess it is better now than in 19 days at Disney. Hope everyone has a good Sunday.

Looked through our Mickey Mail last night. :thumbsup2

Those new luggage tags are AWESOME! :cheer2:

And while we did have it last time, we didn't take advantage of the game points for the arcade or mini golf because the girls were too young, but we're planning some resort time into the schedule this time so I think that will be cool. :thumbsup2

My wife was inquiring about the spa discount too. Has anyone used their services and is it worth it? :confused3

Keep an eye on the cancelled ADR thread!

Didn't make it round 2 for MP this week, but got my Mickey Mail yesterday:). The thing I live most about Disney is that when you dream Disney dreams, you can never be sad for long! There is always something magical waiting for you:)
