November 2012 thread - who's going?

Planning on November 24-30. DH is going to Orlando for some meetings this summer and we were trying to figure out how to add WDW to it, but we just couldn't get it to work out. So instead, we're going to DL for my 40th birthday. Driving in from Utah and hoping to stay at least part of the trip at the GC.

We've never taken our DS 7 & 9 at the holidays before and I'm so excited. The last two trips have been at halloween time and while I love the decor then I knew I wanted to go back at Christmas time the next time.

Lucky you! Congratulations on those airline tickets! :thumbsup2 I am watching American Airlines fares like a hawk but so far the rates are still way too high. I think last year I got a good deal in June.... which just happens to be right around the corner. Always so nice to get the plane tickets bought. Then it's a pretty good indication that there's no backing out. [Haunted Mansion..."there's no turning back NOW..." :goodvibes:goodvibes] ::yes:: November is a wonderful time to go. You get the majority of holiday offerings without the park being jam packed. Just also noticed that you are in the DFW area and that we will be there are the same time. :woohoo: Hope you... and everyone else heading to the park in November... have a fantastic time.

Thank you!! :) I just realized that I forgot to update my profile - we just moved to Ohio last month. ooops....

Our flight is out of Cleveland and I was really happy to see a *relatively* low price of $291/person going into John Wayne. I swear, ever since I bought the tickets I've been telling DH, "We're going to DISNEYLAND!!". We fly in on Thanksgiving evening and have SEVEN wonderful days in the parks. Not sure of the hotel yet, probably HOJO...:)

Did you make hotel rezzies yet?

We will be there from the 22nd until the 2nd of December. Our daughter is turning 18 in November and this coincides with the end of school for her, so DH and I are taking her and her group of 10 friends from school, as well as my sister and her DD to DL for 10 nights. I'm not sure who is the most excited, the girls or my DH and myself. We are booked in at the Fairfield for the 10 nights, we will go up to LA on 2 days, and down to San Diego for a day but otherwise its DL the whole way. :cool1:

3 nights, November 9-12. Only 2 full days in the park, but we've all been before, although the new Cars Land looks awesome and fun. :rotfl:

Goin to Disney World November 24th - December 1st! just booked yesterday..trying to keep it a surprise from the kids..=)

we added on a day to our stay and now we'll also spend Thanksgiving day at DLR! Can't wait - now to decide where we'll eat on Thanksgiving!

We will be out there 11/17-20/2012.

Myself, DW (MinnieGarden), and DS (9)

Wow, seems like a handful of you will be there the same dates we will! November 7-12, staying at HoJo!

Add me to the list!!! I should be there Nov 28-Dec2, second trip this fall (I hope anyways).

We are doing the family thing in September, then hoping to do a girls getaway in November.

We are going Nov 18-24th! So excited to spend Thanksgiving there. It will be 4 generations of us traveling together and we're staying at GCH! I can not wait!

I started a thread about this but thought I'd put it here too! I emailed DLR a few days ago to see if I could get dates out of them since I am planning a November trip and this is what I got. No exact dates, but it says nid-november through 1st weekend in Jan!

"The Happiest Place on Earth" is magically transformed into the
"Merriest Place on Earth" for the 2012 holiday season with dazzling
decor, magical parades, and festive shows and attractions beginning mid
November through the first weekend of January, 2013. The parks will be
trimmed with wreaths, lights, garland and other decor, and strolling
holiday performers, including the Dickens Carolers, will make musical
merriment all season long.

Extended park hours for DISNEYLAND® Park and DISNEY CALIFORNIA
ADVENTURE® Park will be in effect for much of the season, and DOWNTOWN
DISNEY® District and the Hotels of the DISNEYLAND® Resort will join in
the fun with twinkling lights and ornaments, special entertainment and
holiday dining.

I posted here before that we were planning to go in November, but we now have reservations. We arrive November 24 (don't have a hotel for that night yet, but thinking maybe the Hilton). We check into the GC November 25-30. Six day hoppers. So excited!!!

My guess (based on previous years) is that the official "Holiday Season" will kick off Nov 16th. Nothing official yet, just guessing.

Where is everyone??

We ll I booked today we are doing nov29-dec2 So excited!

We'll be there Nov 6-14, and it's our first time staying onsite (we're so excited!). We lucked out and snagged 7 day PHs from Airmiles before they stopped providing them last month. The kids teared up when we told them, which is awesome as we didn't expect it at their age.
