Called Disney to add a day to both ends of our trip and was told I had a ticket upgrade pin good for Nov. Haven't heard of this one :confused3 but the CM said it offered an upgrade to park hoppers ($58p/p) PLUS water parks ($58p/p) for FREE!!!

That's fantastic news! :cool1: Congratulations!!
:dance3:

We are BOOKED!!!!

So we finally decided to just book our dates before any kind of pin/discount!!

We chose November 9th-16th and decided on the Polynesian!

We chose this because we have never stayed there, have ALWAYS wanted to and this is a special trip for our family. Also, we are doing a lot at MK this year and think it is a great location for us.

I was a little traumatized when we saw the grand total for our vacation ;) Looks like I will be praying every night for either a Room discount (our 1st choice) or Free dining! (And picking up lots of overtime at work in the meantime :) ) We can modify out dates if need be to get a discount.

Question- I know the beginning of our trip falls during "Jersey Week". I am unfamiliar with this, does it really impact crowds? Also Veterans day.. should we be worried? I have gone over Memorial day weekend which I did find crowded, if that can be compared to it at all?

I am super excited, and also very excited for all the other November planners! :wizard: Planning is half of the fun...

I'm at the Poly too, just later in the month. I'm lucky to have received a PIN code, but even with the discount the total is a bit traumatizing! But I'm sure it will be worth it! We plan a much more laid back trip this time around with more resort time and lots of Magic Kingdom. I'll be dreaming of the Poly with you while we plan away!

SOOO.....has anyone booked airfare????? I'm too chicken......!:rolleyes1 Southwest not releasing dates until May might put me over the edge.... I'm an obsessive airfare checker. Usually we have to book 6 tickets so I'm a bargain hunter, but with only 2 of us going I'm going to book non-stop flights that I want for a change rather than only the cheapest ones I can find!!

How hard is it to get tickets to MVMCP? We were hoping to do a Thu-Tue stay but if we can get tickets (and the first one is on 11/6) we might do Fri-Wed! :) One of my bucket list items is to see WDW at Christmas..so this would be perfect! We always go in the hot hot hot summer!

They have never been hard for me to get...but I have never done a party on Friday night....I know the closer you get to Christmas, the chance of a sell-out is higher, but I wouldn't think you would have a problem that early on. That's just my 2 cents!

I'm waiting for Southwest because we'll be booking using Rapid Rewards points. I'd like to wait until 3 months out, because that's when it looks like fares are at their lowest, but that will 100% not happen! I want the earliest non-stop flight out and the latest non-stop flight back, and I'm too worried they'll sell out. I'll watch fares after they book, and get a refund on the credits instead. In the past it was hard to keep track of our cash refunds and re-use them, but this will be my first time booking using points and they say it's much easier to have credits refunded!

I don't know about the MVMCP - too expensive for my tribe of littles - but I'm sure someone will come along soon with he answer!

I went last year on a Friday night-never again! LOL I think all of the locals are there on Fri nights

Hi,

We went to the party last year. I dont remember what day, but If you get a seat on the curb early enough, the parade is fantastic and we kept the same seat (place) for the fireworks. We were about a block down from the castle on main street.

Would you believe, I got a PIN in the mail yesterday and it was addressed to somebody else. :confused3 I have lived at the same address for over 10 years and it was my address with a different name:confused3

Just my luck!!

Anyway, happy weekend my mickey friends :yay:

Hi, I finally finished catching up - this thread moves fast and I've been gone several days :-) can I just ask another quick question!? I've seen people mentioning ADR's? Do you already have planned out what park you are going to each day of your trip? When will they release extra magic hours info and MVMCP dates cause that would end up changing our ADR's? I suppose I could get together a general idea of where I want to go to then plan actual days later. Was wondering how you all do it?

Thanks :-)

I'm not as far along on the planning as some, but I have narrowed down my park days using the "Best Park" recommendations from TouringPlans.com. It's still early, and they may change (especially when Tour Guide Mike comes out with his recommendations) but I like to have a general plan laid out early.

I like to be able to play around with different scenarios before I actually call for ADRs!

Does anyone know if they will still be doing the Main Street Electrical Parade in November on non-MVMCP nights?

HEADS UP!!!!! Anyone wanting the photpass for the $99 preorder price better get it this week! I read that its going up to $130 on the 21st!!!!! The regular photopass will be $169 :faint: CRAZY increase! http://www.disneyphotopass.com/previsitoffer.aspx

Does anyone know if we buy now, will it still be good for November trips, i.e. how long do you have to redeem a pre-visit purchase?

I was going to make a trip payment this week, but might hold off and do this instead to make sure we get it at a good deal

I bought mine 3 months ago...its good til you use it.. no exp date:)

We were reading the Terms and Conditions and had a question/concern: While it has no expiration date, it only has a 90 day window from purchase for a refund. In other words, if we are going in November and decide not to do the DVD, we are ineligible for the refund?

Hello! Happy Saint Patrick's Day to all! :shamrock:

On the topic of MVMCP: We've done MVMCP on a Tuesday and on a Thursday. This year, we are planning on attending it on a Sunday. Think I read somewhere that Sunday evenings are pretty good as far as low crowds are concerned. It's a MUST-Do on our WDW list of things to do! We normally sleep in that day, do laundry, then get to MK right at 4p.m.
