I am very confused.

If you don't mind, where generally do you live?

You've made me very curious.

I goofed... I'm 27 away from DL, not 72! You must have thought I was crazy!!

Oh! and I'm in south Louisiana.
Just hopping on to say hello and to get on board, even though it appears I am way late! Bringing our son for his very first trip to see his hero Buzz Lightyear. He will turn 3 the last day of our trip. Hoping to snag
free dining! Nov 15-23 staying at ASMo for my little Toy Story addict!
Hi! Welcome!

You're not late, we're just really early!

We took DS to WDW for the first time right before he turned 3. Buzz was his favorite, and it was his mission to meet Buzz. The morning we went to Hollywood Studios, we went straight to TSM (we were in the first 10 people to ride), then got in the line to meet Buzz and Woody. We were the 1st in line and we had a 45 minute wait, but it was worth every second. When we got to go in, there were lots of photo ops in the queue, then DD and DS got to help open the "closet" door where Buzz and Woody were. The meet and greet room was set up like Andy's room. The look on DS's face when he saw Buzz was worth every penny of that trip. It's something I'll never forget. DS grabbed Buzz's finger and never let go. Since we were the first ones we got to spend about 10 - 12 minutes with Buzz and Woody. DH took pictures and so did the photo pass photographer. TWe ended up using one of DS and Buzz for DS's birthday party invitations the next month! Woody was great too, and really interacted with DD and DS, but for DS it was all about Buzz! I hope your trip is a magical as ours was!!
Hi All,
Our last 2 family trips were in the second weeks of Nov 2008 and 2010. We enjoyed the Christmas decorations but in Oct 2011 I went with my sister and some friends. We really enjoyed the Halloween decorations and the Halloween Party (more so than the Christmas Party). I promised the kids I would take them to the Halloween Party in 2012. I'd like free dining as kids turning 10 and they won't eat $52 worth of food a day. I am debating between end of Oct and 11/1/-11/9. I know the Halloween Party is held for the last time on 11/1 or 11/2 but not sure when they remove the Halloween decorations. Jersey Week doesn't usually faze me but this year I am more concerned because of the timing of Veteran's Day. Also, I don't want to hit the black out date for free dining (if they do free dining). Any suggestions for end f Oct vs. first week of November? thanks for any and all suggestions!! Can't wait for the trip!!
Welcome!

I don't have any suggestions as I've never been either of those weeks, but I'm sure some others on here will be able to help you.
I live in Houston, Texas.
I really thought we were about in the middle, but the drive to the West is a lot longer than the drive to the East!

I goofed... I'm 27 away from DL, not 72! You must have thought I was crazy!!
YAY! Thanks for sharing but im gonna wait a few weeks to order our....or should I do it now? I wonde how long the offer is available
I don't know. I was going to order mine last night, but I think I got a better deal in 2010. I only paid $75 for mine. I thought the pre-order price was always $99, but I could be totally wrong. Anyone know for sure?
Sorry to be MIA lately. The holidays caught up to me and now I'm preparing for my spring semester.
Nothing new to report with the exception of some DVC talk here. DH's coworker is a DVC owner and it has really had us thinking and researching.
I did get some pretty sweet clearanced Disney Christmas goodies while hitting the post holiday sales and we totally told the kids for the sole purpose of bringing back our cute countdown.
Oooooo... DVC!! I really want to buy in, but DH isn't too keen on the idea. I'm hoping to "fit in" a DVC tour while we are there this year. I know DMIL would be on bored, and I'm hoping she can help me talk DH into it.
Okay, will Ya'll walk me through the photopass please? This is one thing I have never done. Don't know why, just haven't.

Once I purchase it what happens? What do they send and is it going to be a problem this far out? I have always felt that my own pictures were enough. But I have been looking into this lately. And now with the discount I think I am ready to take a chance on it.
We did photopass when we went in 2010 for the first time. I didn't tell DH about it, I just did it. When I asked last night about it, he said yes, definitely! Basically, you purchase it now, and receive a credit. I think you can purchase it up to a year in advance (maybe longer). When photopass photographers take your picture, they will give you a card with a number on it. Don't lose this or you can't get your pictures. We took a picture of the card numbers with our phones for safe keeping. We also got a new card each day and left the old one in our room for safe keeping. When you get home, you have 30 days (maybe 60 days?) to enter your photopass numbers, view your pictures, edit the pictures, and place your order. Don't wait too long or your pictures won't be available anymore. You will receive a CD (or CDs) with all your pictures, plus a few extras. We received some pictures of different characters. They also give you a copyright release so you can have any of them printed. No matter how many pictures you take (15 or 500), you don't pay any extra for your photopass! Somewhere on the disboards I've seen a list of places in all the parks to find photopass photographers.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you have more questions.

I haven't worked on anything for Disney yet. We took down all our Christmas decorations yesterday, and I clean our DD and DS's rooms this morning. Now I'm off to decorate for Mardi Gras!!! DH is putting the Mardi Gras lights on our tree now!
And on another happy note, the Saints won last night!! All is right in South Louisiana today!

Now we are just waiting on a win from LSU tomorrow night!
