I don't know how to quote all the different posts in one!

I don't know how people stay for shorter trips. I know many that do, and to me, I wonder how they do it. So much to do and see! We go for a week and even that I don't feel is long enough! I can easily spend a month :lmao: Though my pocketbook couldn't LOL

While I agree, that I hate watching my pocketbook in Disney, it is a must for us. I get to be a stay at home mom right now and well I can't live bigger than my means and that means vacations too. Now when the kids are grown, and hopefully we are living a bit easier, I hope my vacations can be more of a luxury trip than it is now :)

As for WL, I've never been. Every trip we have Whispering Canyon down to eat, and everytime we schedule something else instead. However, I promised myself that when we go for our next trip, I want to see WL at Christmas and will eat at WCC dammit!

I would LOVE to stay at AKL one time, but as a family of five, it would be 8K easy! I would rather do a regular room at Contemporary for half that amount! But again, I can do POR for 1/4 of that and be happy!

Before my third child was 3, we stayed at the values. I LIKE THEM!!!!! I LOVE the larger than life Disney characters and corny decorations! It felt so Disney to me. Matter of fact, when we went to POR in August, I missed that. I love that Disney gives us so many choices!

The only other choice I would love is if they could add a murphy bed to one other moderate resort. Being they made AoA, I am guessing they see a need for it and it will be coming. Maybe that's just my hopes though LOL!

To multi quote hit the button next to the "quote" button on each quote you want to make. Then on the last one hit the "quote" button and they all appear. :thumbsup2

What makes Disney so great is there are so many options to fit your needs. All the stages of your life. :goodvibes

Wow....:rotfl2:Can ya'll use the word "quote" more times than I just did? :lmao:

I loved Poly CL but with 5 of usnow(baby didnt count before) and one child counting as an adult, I cant justify the $8000 I could go 2x for that amout! On the other hand, I loved deluxe. Thats why this ti,e we are trying POR. I CAN NOT stay at a value. Not saying they are bad, just not for me-esp the theming- so we will meet in the middle and stay at a MOD.
Values are not an option for us either. Queen beds are a must as DH is a bug guy and one of the two kids is a tall teen. When it was just DD and I going we stayed in AS Sports which was fine for the two of us.

I told DH athat our next trip I wanna stay at the WL during Christmas time  That would be the best!!!! Has anyone ever eaten at Whispering Canyon?
I'm thinking WL may have some Christmas decorations up in November when we go so I am leaning towards that option. The theme, bunk beds, and boat to MK are alluring to me. I have never eaten at WCC.

I have yet to even visit WL but if that rustic feeling is what you like, you may love PORFQ plus think of the savings! The savings does it for me every time LOL!

Where in NJ do you live? I'm in NJ as well :)
The savings is a big deal, but I am going to try to save more for WL and if it doesn't happen I don't think I will be disappointed at all with POFQ.

I'm in South Jersey-Gloucester County. How bout you?

I wish I could snap my fingers and make a tried and true answer appear. You'll get it though. I have faith in you.:goodvibes
Awww, thanks!

For those of ya'll that are considering the WL .........

We are in Middlesex County!

Wait WL has the cabins? Why did I think the cabins were elsewhere? I am so confused!

The WL has DVC. The Fort Wilderness campgrounds have the cabins. The campgrounds and cabins are pretty awesome too.

Yep, can be confusing...WL is the lodge/hotel rooms, Ft. Wilderness is the camp group right next to or close to it.

Somewhere on the disboards are maps that will show it very clearly

I found maps of each property separatly. But I can't find anything showing the proxemity to each other. They are within walking distance of each other though. And then their is the boat the connects them.

It looks like many of us are trying to decide where to stay. I agree with many others that Disney is wonderful in that it has lodging to fit everyone's budget and preferences.

We enjoyed the POP last year. The kids loved the over the top statues, and decor. Transportation is not a big deal for us since we drive and have our own vehicle. DH sees no reason to stay anywhere other than the POP because all we do is shower and sleep in there. Looking back, we spent very little time at the resort.

As much as I'd like to stay somewhere different just for a new experience, we've decided to keep our ressies at the POP unless the AoA standard rooms open early. We looked that the suites, but we don't like the sofa bed.

That's not to say that I won't continue to research other options (renting DVC points), crossing fingers for a good discount, etc. :surfweb: It could change another 10 times before May, but by May all decision will be final so I can finalize our ADRs.

@ mommyof3 - I'm so happy to hear you are feeling better!! :goodvibes

You know I think Disney was easier when they had only two resorts. The contemporary and the Poly. But you had no choice but to book a year or more inadvance just to get a room. Any room. :rotfl:

So today my daughter decided she wants to go to the Halloween Party instead of the Christmas Party at Disney in 2012. Since, this is her Communion present from us, we decided she can choose. Which means we are now looking into September to book...the good news is that its two months sooner and the bad news is that I may be leaving you all ....

Anyone been in Sept? Pros/cons?

We went last week of August in 2011 and we know all about the heat lol

I've never been but I have always wanted to see the fall decorations. Is she certain though? I guess I just don't want you to leave our thread and join another one. :goodvibes:rotfl:

We went in October and loved it. The Halloween party was freaking awesome. That is what inspired me to start planning my Christmas party trip. Either way, you can't go wrong.
