Awesome! My DH and I are looking forward to going again just the two of us one day, but we'll take as many times with the kids as we can, too! I love being at Disney with my 4 most favorite people in the world.

I couldn't agree more!!! :lovestruc:lovestruc

Happy Mom2- YAYYY that your parents may go, too. That sounds awesome. You'll all have so much fun!:cool1:

That's an awesome idea. :thumbsup2

Lots of planning happening. I think thats great. Right now we are booked into POFQ. But I am seriously thinking about going ahead and moving us to the WL. I feel like my head is spinning. The WL is where we always stay. It is our Disney home. But the POFQ is over a $1000.00 less. That is alot of money. I feel like my heart and my head are doing battle. :rotfl:

WL would be my first pick of ALL the Disney resorts...maybe someday:thumbsup2. We are a family of 5 and have decided to stay at POR. WL doesn't accomodate families of 5 unless you upgrade to CL which is est. $600+ nightly, just not in our budget for our first trip.

Glad you came out of hiding!! We are crossing our fingers for the new parts of Fantasy Land to be open too!

It is... I'll explain below...

Good!!!!

:rotfl: A spring time trip! Perfect. :goodvibes

Have you looked at the FD discounts offered for last year and this year. Somewhere there is a historical calendar showing all the previous discounts. That might help. Maybe try googling it. :confused3

 Love that idea! I'm sure your DD will love it!!

I'm torn too... POP or Poly. :rotfl: Seriously, I hate to spend so much money (even if it isn't mine) to stay somewhere so expensive when all we do there is shower and sleep. :confused3 Good luck with your decision.

Last year we were there from the Sunday following Thanksgiving through the following weekend, and we had free dining. I'm waiting to see when they offer free dining to see when we will check in. I may do a split stay to get the free dining, but I'd rather not do that unless I have do.

_______________

So my news . . . Last year we had invited both our families to go with us to Disney, but DMIL is the only one who went with us. When we originally decided to go back to Disney next year, it was just going to be DH, DD, DS and me. Then we decided to invite my parents. They have never been, and they are getting older. If they don't go now, they probably never will. They declined. :sad2: I think my mom is intimidated by Disney, even though I would be doing all the planning. So, we decided to invite my DMIL again. She gladly accepted, and even offered to pay to upgrade from the POP to any deluxe resort. :worship: We decided on the Poly, but I haven't changed our ressies. Well, yesterday I was with my parents, and a friend of theirs was telling my dad that she just got back from Disney with her family. Long story short, my dad said he would talk to my mom about flying out to meet us when we go to Disney (we drive) next year. If they come, we'll definitely stay at the POP. There is no way my parents would pay to stay at the Poly. Don't get me wrong. It is my dream to stay at the Poly, but I really don't care where we are as long as it's at Disney. My family is very easy to please, and I love planning so that wouldn't bother me. My MIL would probably fly out with them so she could help them find their way around the airports. There are no negatives to my parents coming. I just want them to make up their minds!!! Yes, I realize it's a year away, and I'm probably be a bit dramatic  but I like to plan!! Guess I'll make a plan C. Plan A is if we stay at the Poly. Plan B is if we stay at the POP and my parents don't go. Plan C is if they do go. LOL! My MIL thinks I should start a business planning people's Disney vacations! :lmao:

Hope everyone had a great weekend. I'm off to watch the rest of the Saints game. LSU won again, and it's looking good for the Saints! :cheer2:

YAY! Thats wonderful!!!!

I am looking forward to trips like that myself! Week long trips with no kids :cloud9: Thats the kind of stuff dreams are made of!

So the weight loss is at a stand still :( I CANT get over this plateau! GRRR!

On the other hand, I am planning my November trip in more detail. I have a feeling im SOL fro FD on Nov 10th Oh well maybe a room only will come out!

Ok I posted yesterday that we were considering a trip in November, and now we finally picked our dates YAY! We are going November 24-Dec 1, 2012! I can't wait! We are praying for free dining. we didn't book yet but I plan to do so very soon!

We will be staying at POR. We thought about Contemporary but decided to save $ .... we are hoping to take part of the Christmas party this time and do lunch at Cindy's castle that we never did before!

I too am losing weight. I am using a product called Visalus. Meal replacement shakes. They are yummy and help with my cravings.

Have you tried mixing up your diet a bit. I heard on Dr Oz that if you eat the same amount of calories every day, your body gets used to it. He said to eat alot more calories one day, then very few the next, then normal, then repeat. He said this will usually jump start your metabolism. Don't know cause I've never tried it.

That's when we are going!! :cool1: Good luck with the weight loss! It seems there are several of us here trying to lose weight.

Does anyone know in years prior when November FD was announced?

FD for Nov 2010 was annouced in Aug 2010.

____________

Well, ladies, I did it. I joined Weight Watchers online. I have been hesitant because of the money, but I decided I'm worth $17 a month! I have to take care of myself so I can take care of my family. Good luck to us all on the weight loss wagon!! :goodvibes

thats the only thing I'm sad about.......I'm so used to planning farther out than that......plus you wanna do the ADR's but can't, well I guess you technically could but it is harder trying to figure out when and where without the trip being booked

Hi all...

So I too am planning on going November 2012 - Thanksgiving Week to be exact, I've researched everything but haven't pushed the book button yet, probably will in a month or 2.

It'll be me, boyfriend (husband by the time of the trip) and his son who's 9 (will be 10 by then).

We are planning on staying at Coronado Springs, mainly because I don't like busy hotel rooms and it seemed the least "busy" as far as decor goes :confused3

My boyfriend thinks I'm crazy but I basically have it all planned out so far, and I wanted to get the "pros" opinions (that's you all ;) )

We are doing the Deluxe Dining Plan mainly because I want this to be a complete splurge trip, it'll be kiddo's first time and my first time without my dad and others where I'm just along for the ride. A little background, my dad is a dvc-er and so we always stay on property but to save $$ we end up having sandwiches or pizza in the room instead of eating out.

Wheww.....onto the plans :goodvibes

Good afternoon!!

@ LaDonna- This is what I did last year and plan on doing again. I planned everything and made ADRs as if we had free dining with deluxe plan upgrade. When free dining was available, I just called in and requested it. If it had not come available, I would have just cancelled the ADRs we couldn't use.

@ mommyof3princesses - good luck. Let us know how it goes.

@ jenandjuice - looks like a great plan to me!!

It is a pain not knowing if dining is free, only because if its not offered the date we are going, then we plan on changing our dates. The way I look at it though no restaurant in Disney is worth $1,200 and that's about what FD saves us! So I will gladly cancel and try to squirm to find new reservations :)

jenandjuice-- that is awesome that you are already planning your days, but how do you know what EMH will be or which parks to avoid? Do you not follow that? We try to so we can't make any firm plans like that until we know. However, just today I did pick some restaurants that are must trys for us!

We discussed EMH and for us I don't think we'll be utilizing them (the two boys don't like all of the roller-coasters and "scary" rides so the lines won't be a big deal), our schedule could very well change but I did some what has happened in years past to come up with the schedule thus far:surfweb:

Since they won't ride scary rides with me, I've made them let me pick all the restaurants :woohoo:

I know I can't do ADR til May so I could completely redo the schedule between now and then. I'm a crazy planner and have already replanned Thanksgiving day 2012 3 times :teacher:

I am so excited. I just put our deposit down on our November 3rd through November 11, 2012 trip!:banana:

Now crossing fingers for some kind of promotion to help bring down that cost, lol.
