OOOhhhh, thank you, must check touring plans. How do they know? Or is that top secret?

No online ADRs for you? Last time DH & I sat at our computers next to one another to do it :surfweb:

Somethings I just don't trust to a computer. I want to talk to a person and be able to double check the info as I'm writing it down. I won't book the trip on line either. I guess I'm old fashion that way. :goodvibes I do believe in technology. I just don't always trust it. And I don't want to be completely dependent on it. You didn't ask for all of that did you? :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:

Good morning ya'll. :goodvibes I hope you all have a wonderful day infront of you.

We are going Nov. 16-21. Surprising the kids, they don't know it yet. Picking them up early from school and heading down from GA. I can't wait.:yay:

I hope everyone is staying warm today. It is cold here! I can see cat paw prints in the snow that is laying on top of the pond ice.

I've done all of the calculations probably 3 times. It seems it will be the DDP for us once again. Next time, when DS would be counted as an adult, it will either be OOP or AP w/ TIW.

Smileybug - thanks for the tip on the potential hours being posted! :thumbsup2 I always thought it was just for subscribers at touringplans. I am starting to fill in my spreadsheet with park of the day, potential ADRs and other fun stuff like Kim Possible, Jedi Training, Pirate League, etc...

Hey everyone! I think I finally caught up reading everything. :-) It has put me in the planning mood! Maybe Tuesday. For now I am still on some pretty strong meds. If I get this posted and it makes sense it will be a miracle!

Does anyone know about when Halloween party tickets will go on sale? Also where do I find out when the halloween to christmas change over will take place. We are hoping to hit the last day of the halloween parties and then be there for 9-10 more days and see Christmas Decor and maybe hit one of the first christmas parties!!!!

Thank you to anyone who can help!!!!

I think this past year, the Halloween party's last night was November 1and MVMCP started on Tuesday, November 8. In 2010, MVMCP also started on November 8, but it was a Monday. You might want to check allears. They generally have historical dates somewhere.

Have fun planning! Sounds like a great plan to hit both!

:welcome: we are surprising our girls too! I am just not sure how yet...... its oldest DD 13th bday BUT the trip is for all 3 kiddos so maybe a giftcard and tell her she can spend it in WDW cuz we are going NOW!!! or (this is what DH is thinking) take them to the airport, tell them we are flying into Orlando to go see Grandmom and Pop(my grandparents who live there) and when we land take them to Magical express so they 'get it' :rotfl: we arent lying....grandmom and pop pop will meet us at the Resort lol along with my parents and brother....only drawback is our friends will be on the same flight as they are going to Disney too(I can say they are taking their vacation because I am taking mine and I watch their children-perfect excuse!:lmao: )
Where will you be staying??

Its cold here but no snow :goodvibes I was reorganizing my stockpile(I coupon so lots of Free/cheap things) yesterday so today is Disney planning AND taxes :headache: I HATE doing taxes but refuse to pay someone....we always lose money that way!

Hours? Being posted? Hmmmm I missed that post! I cant wait to see hours!I am interested in doing the Kim Possible stuff this time since we will be spending 2 full days in Epcot. What is the Pirate league? How do I start the Kim Possible thing and what else interesting 'to do' that Im missing? HELP!

still can't make up my mind how long/when I want to get there......I really really want to do the whole week before Thanksgiving week sun11th-sun18th I normally have no problem taking my kids out of school, just not sure how Highschool is going to be for my 9th grader.........so I decided on wed14th-wed21st, but I'd really really really like to have at least 7 full days in the park and if we come up on Wed and leave on Wed we only get like 6 full days. So now I'm thinking okay maybe I'll add one more night, of course that would be an extra $160ish if I ad the Tuesday before or $200ish if I add the Wednesday night before Thanksgiving........if I do the Tuesday though I'd want to pick the kids up from school, but then we want get there till very late like after 10pm, and not sure I want to spend $200ish for the other night.......so now I'm thinking how about if I do Priceline or something and just find something really cheap for that Wednesday before Thanksgiving??????? I wanna get my dates nailed down :goodvibes

Hi y'all! Thank you all for the well wishes. My surgery went well, and I came home today. I'll catch up on everything tomorrow, but for now, I just wanted to stop in and say hi.
YEAH! So glad you are recovering well! Rest up!

:rotfl: No problem! :rotfl:

Does anyone know if the Pirate & Pal Fireworks Cruise is run on MVMCP nights?
Yes, they will run the cruise on MVMCP nights. It usually runs Friday through Monday, so if one of those days is a party day, then yeah, you'd see the holiday WISHES. We tried to time our cruise to see HalloWishes, but for some reason they weren't offering it that night. We still had a fabulous time on the cruise. My DS loved it since he is a big Hook fan!

How fun is that going to be? :thumbsup2

Tickets for both MNSSSHP and MVMCP usually go on sale in May. The last Halloween party is usually like November 1st, day after Halloween. The first MVMCP is rumored to be as early as November 7th this year. The MK isn't decorated in Christmas until the first MVMCP. And then, you don't get the full effect until after Thanksgiving (like the tree in the hub, I think). The resorts don't do their decor until closer to Thanksgiving as well I think. Here is what the web says:
Christmas Decorations

Christmas decorations at the Walt Disney World Resort usually begin going up around the first of November. The decorations are gradually added at night and are substantially complete at Magic Kingdom by the time of the first Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party (in 2011, that was November 8), with the resorts and other parks completed by the day after Thanksgiving.
The decorations usually start coming down after January 3.
The Disney resorts are all decorated for the holidays, as are the theme parks. Each theme park will have an enormous decorated Christmas tree and so will the Deluxe resort lobbies.

Sunday-whispering canyon
monday-tusker house breakfast and t-rex dinner
tuesday-be our guest OR 1900 park fare
wednesday-50's primetime cafe
thursday-cape may cafe clam bke dinner

Looks great. We love WCC, Tusker House, 50s, and CP! Great choices.

Here is another great way to do it- I subscribe on FB to a few sites for free samples. They will post when a free sample is available. I collect them and use for the trip often! Just search free samples on FB and subscribe/like those pages.

You will!! :thumbsup2

Even when I am not trying I usually save anywhere from $30 to $50 a week on grocery's. And that is on actual food, paper products, and cleaning supplies. :thumbsup2 The most I have saved at one time is a little over a $100. I am not an extreme couponer by any means.
