Hi all!

I just realized that I'm only 6 days away from being exactly 1 year out (365 days)!! And to think when I first started planning this trip, I was at 500 days out! We're making progress!

Hello all! Hope everyone had a great Monday!

DH and I are considering changing our Disney dates from the week after Thanksgiving to the week before Thanksgiving.

My only reason for wanting to switch is it would give the kids a week to relax and rest after the trip without having to go back to school the next day. They will still miss 5 days of school either way, but we might be able to squeeze in an extra day if we go the week before.

Any thoughts?

I did it Come on, do it, you'll be glad you did I checked prices to fly back on Friday vs. Thursday....same, so we added a day!!! Also decided that I would rather have a relaxed travel day to WDW instead of up at 3am for a 6am flight. Flying mid-day instead.

Online CHECK IN today!!!! YAY! Tomorrow I can do the SINGLE DIGIT DANCE! Ok im moving on from that lol I also was able to get the last 3 Monster High Dolls for DD. I have been looking everywhere for these 3! UGH!

My first thought was that it sounds like a great idea. My second thought was that the week before Thanksgiving they will probably miss more tests/quizzes in school as teachers finish up chapters/units before the holiday. However, I'm not sure the ages of your kids so this may be a non-issue.

I am getting a little nervous. We are planning the week b4 Thanksgiving, but the reviews I have read for last week all talk about how crowded it was, more than they expected. We have never been this week & I chose it b/c DS has 1.5 days off of school & it's supposed to be a less crowded week. I am expecting the weekend we arrive to be crowded as it's veterans day & the end of Jersey week. But I hoped the crowds would be gone by Tues & the rest of the week would be better. We have gone in Feb the last few trips & I wonder if we should just switch back to that again.

That was my original thinking, but it seems that around here the week before may be better. I'm going to talk to DD's teacher next month to see what she recommends.

My boss was there last week, and she said the longest they waited in a line was 20 minutes. It was her 1st time so she had nothing to compare it to, but she said there were very low crowds.

I'm so ready to be through with work tomorrow. I've started doing some things for Thanksgiving. I made the cranberry compote this evening. It's better after is has a day or two for the flavors to meld. I also made a homemade chocolate cake with homemade chocolate icing - now I have to go icing the cake, and get to bed. I'm exhausted.
