I wish!!!!! I cant wait to go on my Christmas trip THIS year! Then I will want NEXT year to come fast...I never wanna leave Disney when I get there...it makes me sad

I'm soooooo jealous......you are going this year too. We are having to skip this year. There is just nothing like Christmas in Disney.

I have planned our days/parks for next Nov using this Nov 2011 calendar. I know there may be changes, but it will be easier to tweak it then.
We are going to DL this Nov & it's not as much fun planning. Plus, DL doesn't even have the calendar out for this Nov yet.

I have thought about doing this same thing.

I have never been to DL. Everytime I think about planning a trip....Well, we end up at WDW.

We are looking into going during Jersey week 2012 (11/3-11/11). Election day and 2 days off for Teachers Convention makes it an easy week to pull kids out of school. The other week we are looking at is the week prior to Labor Day 2012. We are leaning towards November for the possibility of seeing some Christmas decorations and MVMCP. I know there won't be a lot of decorations up yet but if 2012 is similar to this year MVMCP should have some dates that week. Do you think it is worth going that week to get a taste of Disney Christmas?

When I bought the MVMCP tickets for THIS year, I told the CM I was going next year with the whole family and she said the MVMCP starts around the 6-8th and that the decorations will be in full force at MK but I am not sure about the resorts....Also the Osbourne Lights will be going on too!

Actually, we just booked it a couple days ago...got airfare for $90pp and we are staying at POP with free QSDP upgraded to TSDP.....but trust me, we made this a really cheap trip! I wanna have fun BUT waiting til the big family trip to go all out!

So I need some advice!

The way I'm looking at it, we've decided on two options.

1) We stay at Pop if there's free dining

2) We stay at Bonnet Creek if there's not. Free dining is kinda iffy for us anyway... my DH and I don't drink soda, so that removes some of the lunch "value" and I don't have a pressing need to eat dessert with every meal. We also want to do a character meal for my niece, which wouldn't be covered by a QS dining plan anyway. :/

But I don't want to leave all my planning until August 2012, when they will (hopefully) announce free dining.

Is there a way I can plan without locking into anything nonrefundable? I don't think I can book BC without putting money down, but the guy I was going to rent from told me I can safely wait 'til spring to book BC.

If you book room only, you put down the cost of 1 night. You can cancel up to a week b4 your trip & get full refund. If you book a package, you put down $200. You can get full refund if you cancel b4 45 days b4 your trip. It doesn't hurt to book & then change or cancel. I have done it.
I usually book a room only & change it to a package when a discount comes out.

I don't know anything about off site hotels or Bonnet Creek.

i hope u guys waiting on general public codes get something this week. My cousin is going end of Oct and he has been waiting patiently for general codes. He hasn't gotten any pin offers and we aren't going the time he is so we can't help him out either. I hope they put something out this week. It's getting close! I'm 100 days out right now for Nov. Can't wait!

Yep lol my hubby has been working a side job and gives me $20 a night from that and $50 on a weekend day, he takes half lol but I use my half for Disney He helps me feed my addiction He doesnt have to work but he helps his friend out and helps me out at the same time He gets scared every 6 months or so when I say guess what? We are planning another Disney trip!

See I have to go change my ticker every couple weeks just for something to do Disney related lol. I still am working on our schedule for parks, between when everyone is coming in and ages of kids, I cant figure out a good park schedule! Why oh why am I incharge of this grand gathering?
