There are a lot of changes to the November 2010 Disney World Park Hours that were just released today. The following is a rundown of every change listed. A second Fantasmic was added on all evenings that originally had a Fantasmic scheduled. See my advice on how to see Fantasmic with the shortest wait possible and how Fantasmic affects Hollywood Studios’ crowd levels at, “Fantasmic Dining Package Review at Hollywood Studios: Worth the Cost?” Mickey’s Jammin’ Jungle Parade at the Animal Kingdom is not scheduled for the week of November 7th through 13th. They may be getting ready to switch to Mickey’s Jingle Jungle Parade, but the Jammin’ Jungle Parade does return on Sunday November 14th before the switch to the Jingle Jungle Parade on Friday November 26th. Hours at the Magic Kingdom are significantly extended during the week of Thanksgiving and Animal Kingdom opens at 8am rather than 9am that week as well. Hollywood Studios is open until 8pm rather than 7pm on many dates throughout the month. The November 2010 Crowd Calendar With Best Parks to Visit will be updated shortly with the changes (probably late tonight or tomorrow afternoon). I am going to do the same thing I have been doing with 2011 and the updated October Crowd Calendar – split each theme park into its own paragraph and add more commentary about mornings/evenings and best days of the week.

Here’s the rundown:

Frequently Asked Questions:

I checked these park hours against the calendar on DisneyWorld.com and they are different? Who’s right?

The Disney World website is notoriously slow at updating theme park hours. These changes were just released this morning. The park hours above are taken from the Disney World Travel Agent Hours available at http://www.disneytravelagents.com/S.../pdf/ParkHours/WDW_Operating_Calendar_nov.pdf. The Travel Agent Hours are always updated before the Disney World website and are almost always correct before Disney makes their own update. Expect Disney to update their website within the next few days. I agree that a company that makes more than 10 billion per year on theme parks should be able to keep a calendar of hours up to date better than a website that makes 42 cents per day in advertising revenue.

Will These Changes Greatly Affect the Crowd Level Estimations or Best Parks to Visit?

Not really. The model assumes that a second Fantasmic will be added on days when Fantasmic is already scheduled once, like it has been the last several months. It was also assumed that Disney would extend the hours at the Magic Kingdom on Thanksgiving, which is why the crowd estimation was already at 9′s and 10′s during that period. While a second Parade and Fantasmic have been added on select nights, neither show was added to evenings that didn’t previously have it scheduled. An addition of the Main Street Electrical Parade or Fantasmic to a night that didn’t previously have one would cause Magic Kingdom or Hollywood Studios to respectively be downgraded, but luckily that isn’t the case. The extended hours are actually in our favor because it will make the early morning even better because a lot of people who don’t know any better will arrive even later in the morning in order to stay later in the evening. Park Hopper will be extremely beneficial during Thanksgiving week, allowing you to spend the early morning or late evening at the Magic Kingdom when crowds will be low and Park Hop over to a Park that will be less busy in the afternoon. The additional morning hour at Animal Kingdom is also very helpful if you can get out there by 7:30am. It will allow you to ride Kilimanjaro Safari and Expedition Everest at least one additional time, if not more.

WOW, it this good information! Thanks for all your hard work at putting this together!:cool1:

Thanks so much. This will affect my trip plans, so thanks for the heads up. I will be there the week that the Jammin Jungle Parade is cancelled:sad1:

.

This is so true. I called to try to get my current Fantasmic dinner ressies flipped to a late show, and they are not showing an additional show for that night. Hopefully after the update on the 19th it will show up. :confused3

is this b/c they are expected greater crowds?? We are going in a few week & were excited about the crowd level being a 1 for the week. This has me a little worried about large crowds the week we are there now.

Sunday November 21: Magic Kingdom open from 8am to 12am rather than 9am to 10pm.

Oh no! I'm excited about the extra hour, but my Chef Mickey breakfast ressie is now going to run into rope drop! Time to get online and see if there's anything that can be done with the ADRs...:surfweb:

Thank you SO MUCH for this info!

Very helpful information, although I cannot say I'm very happy with Jammin Jungle being cancelled the day I'm supposed to be in AK (11.07). And with this short notice and the very realiable reservation system currently in place it is absolutely impossible to reschedule.

Thanks for the updates. Longer park hours will be very helpful with the crowds!!

Thanks for posting! We are visiting 11/13-11/19, so the new updates were helpful:wizard:

Thanks much for the updates... now we don't have to rush to see the Main Street Electrical Parade, we'll catch the second one!!

Can you use the Fantasmic package on the 2nd show? I was led to believe you can't?

Thanks for the update! Will only impact my DHS day with an extra showing of Fantasmic....that's great - I was worried about there only being one show.
