November 2009 Code Watch

Absolutely correct.... I stand by my prediction. There will be something for the general public. Check back here for the "I told you so" in September.

As for my guarantees, if you believed my first one, I have no problem guaranteeing my previous guarantee and future guarantees.

Oh, and October, I would say yes, there should be one for late October as well.

Get used to disappointment. ;)

I'm always going with a discount to Disney World. I, especially like Nov. and Dec. times at Disney World. I'm not an AP person, either. There have historically been discounts for November and December with block out dates that apply. Even with blockout dates if you start your stay before the block out date begins you can still be okay for some of the blockout times. Good times or bad Disney has done discounts for this time of year. Last year free dining was offered to Disney Visa card holders for October, November and December. This was a first for free dining at those times of the year. Pin code free dining discounts last year started earlier then the Disney Visa card offer and it's no different this year, so far. In fact the pin codes this year are earlier then the ones from last year. It seems there are even more pin code offers this year and I would say that's a big indicator that Disney is not happy with their bookings. Last year the Disney Visa offer wasn't released until September; so, we have time for an offer to come through yet in that respect. Also, Disney's current offer for the Aug/Sept/early Oct free dining doesn't expire until the end of July. I wouldn't expect Disney to run concurrent public offers. As I said,

I do believe; I do believe!

There will be a discount. Altho, with my luck it may just be a free hopper add on, or free water parks and more add on. Both are useless to us. But there will be something!

I have a Disney Visa and I am soooo hoping for a free dining pin! I've booked AKL CL for 11/5 - 8, and could not get AAA rate for that time period, so I really need a pin! The CM told me that I did not have anything attached to my name when I made the ressie. My sister and I are going with our parents, and they will balk at paying for too many expensive things, so we want to be able to take them for "free."

for a pin for November 29th--December 6th.

Still waiting
I hope there is a GP code, i really want to go back this year!

I am getting a little ticked that I keep hearing about codes that I can not get. It is frustrating to know that when I am there, chances are the person next to me at the restaurant is eating for free. Grumble.

I hope they come up with a public code for something decent, after hearing all the 40% off and free dining and adults pay kids prices.

Me too! Waaaahhhh.:sad::sad:..I want a PIN...or free dining! something!!!!

Got my trip booked (11/3 to 11/9), my 7th trip there in 20 years, I want a discount!!!! :sad2:

I will absolutely guarantee that Disney releases discounts to the public. In fact, I am willing to bet money. The economy maybe turning around, but its got a looooong way to go and 5 months from now (actually 2... because I am betting that codes come out in September at the latest) the economy will still be hurting.

This will be the 4th year in a row I go during this time and for 3 years there has been a discount of some kind (even when the economy was doing well). This year will be no different. I already got free dining... and so did many others. Disney is sending out PINs in record numbers.

Don't be discouraged... there will be a public discount of some kind, you can bet on it.

Nedac, I like your thinking!!! :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

Nedac and I are from Louisiana home of the Fighting Tigers and Ragin Cajuns. We are rarely disappointed!!

GEAUX TIGERS!!

OK, as alum of both schools... I can also guarantee disappointment from at least one of those 2 :)

That would be $600 off for us and I'd jump for joy.
:thumbsup2 For me any discount is better than no discount

when would a GP be released?
after the booking deadline for FD on July 26th?

or will it come out before that?

First, let me say in the history of free dining, it was never extended beyond the fall offer until last year. Last year was a splendid suprise. Keep in mind the free dining winter offer did not hit until September. I don't think Disney wants to get in the habit of offering free dining for winter time. With that said, I still believe a Visa card offer may happen. Whether there will be a general public code, too that's another story. The economy is still in question and the recent monorail accident doesn't help Disney's publicity; so, I remain hopeful there will be an offer.

The pin code offers going out right now makes it somewhat hopeful there will be an offer going more public, as well. I will say though this pin code offer seems to be going out to a lot more people; so, this may end up being the preferred way of Disney doing free dining this year for winter time.

I have never seen same promo discounts (like free dining) get offered concurrently; so, I think we have to wait until at least the end of July to find out more. I want this offer myself; so, I have my fingers crossed for it, as well.

WooooHoooo:banana::banana::banana:just booked free dining for Thanksgiving with a pin I received yesterday. Nov. 19-28. I was reading about everybody else getting Thanksgiving time pins and hoping for Disney Visa free dining, but I got a pin. Sooooo excited, we were going to skip this year without a pin.

Was this the 4night/5 day free dining package for parts of Nov and Dec? I too received this, and wondered what the cost would be for Longer stays (7 nights) at a Moderate instead of a value? Also, it would be for 2 adults, and 2 teens (no younger kids), so I am sure the price would be different than the email states? We were thinking of Nov. 19 - 26. Did you happen to get any quotes on different resorts with this pin?

Thanks in advance

I may, MAY, be able to go in early November (or maybe the first part of December). Here's hoping for a good code. Even if I can't go - I hope there's a code for everyone else who get's to take their trip.
