For the person who asked, you don't sign up for codes. Basically how it works is someone from these boards will be calling each morning asking if there are any codes out for November. Once the cast member tells that person yes, they will report back to us on this thread and then we all start calling to either book our room with the code, or if we have the room booked already, have them apply the discount to it with that code for whatever the % off is. So just keep checking this thread.

Last year, the code was released on June 20th, so Im hoping this Friday is the day!

Last year (2007), the code came out on August 13th, 2007 (on a Monday). Hurry up and come August 08!

There is more than one code. AP code, FL resident code, Disney Visa Cardholder code, General Public Package code, and general publix room only package code. I believe the general public codes came out nd of August last year. August 15th or so. Not sure about the other codes, as none of them apply to me.

Also, regarding the PIN code someone else asked about, those are given out on a seemingly random basis, and are sent out via email, postcard, or you can call and ask if one is "attached" to your name in the system. Most, if not all of these codes are per person, and are non-transferable, which means you CANNOT share them on this board. I have heard you can get up to 40% knocked off with one, but I have never recieved one. (YET...)

ok so should I get my ressie? You see we booked a bounceback but need to add some more days to that. I was going to check to see if I need to book and will they let me apply a code to the "other" non bounceback that I would book through CRO or do I wait for the code /

If you are waiting for the general code (not AP, Florida resident, or Disney Visa code), then your wait might be longer. As I posted a couple above you, last year (2007), the November code for the general public wasn't released until August 13th. I think alot of us are waiting for that one! I hate to wish my summer away, but I can't wait for mid-August to see the savings. Last year, using this code, I was able to knock $502 of my booking.

well I have a disney visa and an AP - I have never done anything with codes so I am not really sure what I am waiting for (hahaha) what is usually the best? I have a week booked on a bounceback but we would like to add some days to the beginning of the trip at the BC as that is our anniversary.

Another place you can keep an eye on it is at Mousesavers.com They offer a great newsletter you can sign up for, it goes out the 15th of everymonth. If you go to that site, there is a link to sign up for the newsletter down the page. Also, they keep track of the discounts that have been offered in past yrs, for who, and when they were released. Hi everyone! I'm new to this and would love to find a discount but I am getting so confused about the codes and bookings.

Question: If I book a package now for November, and the general public discount comes out in August, can that be applied to my reservation even if I've paid the deposit?

Thanks! After reading some info here, I called the Disney reservation number and asked about the discount in August. I spoke with Marshall who seemed a bit irritated that I asked and he told me that there is not always a discount and there may not be one in August just because there has been before. So I asked about a PIN number attached to my name and he said there is not one now but if there is one when I call again to make the reservation, the customer service person will automatically apply it. I have read here that they will NOT tell you about any discounts unless you ask specifically for the discount that's available at that time. I guess I have to call every day to see if one is added? Good grief!

I've never had a discount on any previous trip to Disney. I'm glad I found this board. Thanks for a wealth of info.
