So do all the DISboard people meet up on the cruises?

And are any of you dressing up for the Pirate party?

Sheila here with an addition to Becky's post about passports. We will all have ours for the cruise but as we are coming from Canada they are more strongly recommended.

soo.. do all of you have passports? Isnt there ANYONE who is traveling with just birth certs and ID's too that will make me relax a little about it?

Well, IF we were still going on this cruise, we'd only have birth certs and IDs, so don't feel bad.

That's my bad news, though. We had to cancel this cruise. I am sorry and it truly sucks, but sometimes one just has to bite the bullet and do what needs to be done.

I am sorry that I won't get to meet all of you and do the FE, but I know you'll have a great time!!

I have been taking some peeks at other trip reports and some of them have a cut off date (about a month before the cruise). We are definitely still interested and we will still distribute on Monday evening.

Shannon - We would love to meet up with everyone at some point in the cruise. Does anyone have any suggestions? We are going to be dressing up for the pirate party and are really looking forward to it.

Kathy - We are so sorry to hear that we won't be meeting you on the cruise. I realize as I'm writing this that you might not be back to read this but I hope things are ok with you and wish you well.

Kathy I am also sorry we won't get to meet you on our cruise. Are you going to the parks at all?

We had one meet on our 7 day cruise. But it was at the sail away party and kind of difficult to mingle and meet because of the noise, but we managed. We all found each other because of the tee shirts! Plus we met on the upper deck at a certain spot. Any one up for that? We never organized another meet.

I have no clue how big our room is (cat 3), but if you'd like another place to gather we could get together around 2 on our day at sea for a little meet! The veranda is double width!!

I can't meet at the sail away party....I will have 25 people to keep track of. I am up for another meet and you know I want to check out your cat. 3 room! LOL

The shower was great, I posted tons of pics on the planning journal on the wedding boards....the link is below!

It was so wonderful, I was surounded by my best friends (some coming from as far away as SC (heyshanny) and NJ). It was the best shower ever!

Becky, good question - I don't know the answer. I've never done the FE exchange before, so I don't have a clue. Some of the people who originally signed up haven't posted in a while. Not sure if they are still in or not?

Is everyone still interested in doing the FE exchange who is listed in post #1??

I know there isn't a true schedule but the Abbatiello Family will distribute on Tuesday. (And maybe a little something other times too!)

I'm still in! I plan to do Sunday, the 1st night. I'm in for meeting everyone, too.

And no, we canceled the November trip all together, so we won't be at the parks, but we might be going down for a few days before Christmas if we can work out the budget.

I got my FE gifts yesterday!!!! YEAH. Now I just have to pack and I'm ready to go!!!!

We already have our FE "presents" (our daughter's family also has theirs). We don't have a time for the exchange as our grandkids will be "Helping" pass them out and it depends on their schedule. We are getting ready to leave for our DVC cruise which leaves on Sunday. The Disers are meeting on the sunday at 3:00 in the Promonade Lounge - which is at the rear of the ship on deck 4. Maybe this could be a place to meet. I will let you know how it went after we get back on Thursday.

To Becky - since you are a dancer and love Disney, you should try to talk to our daughter who went to Disney as an intern during her college days and became a dancer in one of the Disney parades at Epcot (7 years ago).

I updated the first post to remove Kathy from the FE list (I know how she feels having to cancel!) I added TJHutch and gang to the FE list to take their place. I've also PMed everyone who is on the cruise list and not on the FE list with little response, so I would "assume" that everyone who is going to play has signed up. Any ideas on when you want to close it out?

Hey Everybody.....I haven't been on the boards for quite awhile. My husband and I will be bringing our 7yr old granddaughter and we are all getting so excited.

Emma is a bit worried that she won't find another little girl about her age to hang out with in the kids club. She's a pretty social kid, but she has never been on a cruise before and she's just a bit nervous.

If anyone has a daughter that's going could you give me just a first name so I can tell her I know for sure a little girl named ***** will be there too.

I know it sounds a little silly, but it would really make her feel better.

Hey Becky here again. Thanx Mary Jo thats sounds like an amazing experience. I think the best time to close out the FE exchange is 1 month before since a lot of people already have their gifts.
I also am considering bringing a notebook along and jotting down notes and then writing a trip report when we get back. I want to also include my moms and Caitys comments in it so that when you read it you get 3 points of view. Does this sound like a good idea?

Becky that is an excellent idea! You can also make note of CMs who you want to praise at the end of the cruise. A positive note goes a long way!!

One month sounds like a reasonable time for a cut off - that's 12 days from now!

Woo hoo we are getting closer. I bought the material to make our FE and really need to get a move on it and starting making it...We have already bought the FE gifts and cannot wait to give them out...
