November 2 on the 4 day Wonder!

I have been on the Disney Cruise 3 times and never wanted to give up a theme night to go to Palo. I figure we will do brinch this time and save dinner for when it is just us on a future cruise.

Now I hope I have PTTA rotation!!! We don't mind skipping Parrot Cay and Kayla loves Animator's Palate. I think it would be a scream to be dressed up as Pirates in Tritons!!!

We plan to go to Palo's around 7:30 on the first night and will stop in Parrot Cay for an appetizer and meet our wait staff.

What dinner seating does every one have? We have the main seating. I can't go to bed with a full stomache - acid refulx - so we like the earlier dining. Dominick and I like to walk the upper decks before we turn in for the night and to help everything digest. :)

All of us have the late seating. The reason I did this was so the little kids in our group could eat something from room service or the decks before our 6pm show and then go to the kids clubs while the parents eat. That way the parents can enjoy a good dinner and the kids can play. There is no way the little ones could wait until 8 or so to start eating!

We have late, are waitlisted for first. Late is going to SUCK with a 3 year old and I'm another refluxer, so I won't be going to bed for hours after dinner. I'm hoping we can get to port early enough to try and get it changed, plus we want a Palo brunch, but I'm sure it will be fully booked before we get to make the ressies at 75 days for first cruisers. I'm going to take a book and camp out waiting to make ressies as soon as we get on board

Shel - I beat it like a mad women to get to Diversions to change our ressie for brunch on the 7 day. I gave them hugs and kisses (really, ok the Hershey ones) and they were able to help me out - there were 8 of us. Two should not be a problem, I hope. I'll send some pixiedust: your way! Even if it is a waitlist for Palo - go on it, people do cancel.

I was a little torn about Palo. I love that kind of froo-foo food. My DH? Not so much. He would deal and take me if he thought Id be happy.. but having friends on the cruise I feel like any time that I set aside as like a blocked in activity I might miss out on something fun my friends are doing! I HATE missing out on fun stuff. SO since my DH and I plan to take our girls on a cruise sometime in 09 (YES!) I will plan to do Palo then.

Just saying Hi and keeping us on the first page!!!:lmao:

Look at us on our 8th page. It's almost a party in here now!!! :cool1:

DH took the kids to the rec center and I stayed behind to pack for my girls weekend leaving on Thursday. I cannot wait! After that it's all downhill until the cruise :rotfl: We spent last night looking through the Passporter trying to decide what to do in Nassau. We were originally going to blow the money to go to Atlantis, but now we'll have 2 in private school so I think we need to cheapen the excursion a little. Anyone have any big ideas for Nassau?

I was thinking Atlatis, too. Last cruise, we just stayed in Nassau and I wasn't impressed, so I thought it would be nice to see the "pretty" side of the Bahamas. Part of me would rather just lounge on the ship. :woohoo:

We are going to do a boat tour then hang out on the EMPTY ship! I have read about some people getting a cheap room at the Atlantis to be able to use thier pool. It ended up being cheaper then doing it through Disney.

Part of me would rather just lounge on the ship. :woohoo:

That is exactly what we are doing!! :thumbsup2

Shel - we have thought of getting a Passporter. Have you used it before? What are your thoughts on it? We used to buy a Birnbaum guide every trip in addition to researching here on the DISboards. We thought it would be fun to look back over the years to see the changes with the Birnbaum guides. We've learned all we can from Birnbaum guide, now it's the Disboards that we get the most info from.

I love my Passporters. You can get them cheap too, sometimes you can get last years edition for like $4...It's worth looking into. I get one everytrip!

I have the Unofficial Guide to WDW and I have it memorized. It was time to get something else, so I got Passporters for WDW and for DCL. I LOVE them. I'm an organizing freak, so I love the pockets and the worksheets the Passporters have. Plus, if you get the Deluxe, you get the cool binder and can take out the pages you don't want to carry around on your trip. I have mostly cruise info in our binder, but I kept the maps and tours for MK and Epcot since we'll be going there before the cruise.

Great Shel, thanks. I think we may have to look into it this time!!

I have the Passporters for WDW and the cruise, too.

This is the first time I've used them and they are great! For someone who isn't a planner, it might be overwhelming, but for a compulsive planner like myself - they're super! :cool1:

Our TA told us our ressie stated guaranteed early dining. I, too, cannot eat late like that due to multiple medical reasons. I am a night owl and love to stay up late, but I have to be very careful about what I eat late at night and how much. So I figured it was just best to get the earlier dining.
DH and I would love to try Palo's but not sure if we'll be able to get a ressie as we are first time cruisers. Keeping our fingers (and toes ;) ) crossed that we do. I know the one rotation I don't want to miss is Animator's Palate. I've heard wonderful things about it. I was looking at the thread w/ the pictures of the food. OH MY.....:lovestruc It all just looks so wonderful. :cloud9:

Not sure if I've mentioned we skip Parrot Cay to go to Palo - not that exciting to us!!

I can't wait to take a 7 night cruise, that way I will be sure not to miss a meal and eat at Palo for dinner.

Ah to cruise for 7 days again .... not sure when that will be in the plans for us!!! Boy was it nice. :thumbsup2

Moving us back to the first page ....

It's our 21st Anniversary tomorrow!! We are going to the Melting Pot - I've never been to one. Has any one else?
