I have been waiting ...all week!

I really like the idea of t-shirts, door signs and how about those "buttons" -hope they are available, too ....my DH will probably go for a button...not so sure about the matching shirt. but, he would probably wear it and still not have "a clue" that he was part of a group :rotfl:

Lampy thought of you yesterday when I saw a t-shirt that said "I need supervision" - you just "jumped into my mind" But, I will wait till the cruise to make a final determination of whether that slogan fits or not

I'm off for a morning walk - I gotta get serious about losing some weight so that I be relaxed about gaining on the cruise :earboy2: I'm adding lemon meringue pie from Palo on my "must have list" read that it was yummmmmmmmmmm.

Count me in for the sunrise walk!

I swear I have to start learning everyones real name. Or you may hear me on the beach hollering "Hey Alreadyexcitedgranny! How about another Mai Tai?"

Or, "OHMOM, that is a great looking bikini!"

Do you think that would draw some looks?

Yes, it would draw some looks. :rotfl:

Would you like us to post our names here, or pm them to you? I know some people are concerned with public info on internet sites (though it doesn't concern me too much, as long as my DD is not sharing info.) If posted here, other Thanksgiving DISers can know them too. :earsgirl:

Mickeyhugger family - Robert, Priscilla and Rachel (DD)

willie -- you made me smile :) me, in a bikini - probably not!! LOL now Mom drinking mai tai's, absolutely!!

Alreadyexcitedgrammy is my mom, her name is Bev :) her DH is my dad and his name is Dan

I posted a pic of my family on the show your face cruise board thread, if anyone wants to check us out --

my DH, Preston, would probably prefer a button too ;)--we'll see what art work we finalize on.

have a great weekend everyone

Molli

Do you want to create a website for this cruise? We could post pictures and real names there.

What a great idea! :earsgirl: (Don't ask me though. I wouldn't know where to start. LOL!)

Well there are free options, but I was actually considering registering a domain.

Since I am a computer consultant and have been developing websites for almost 10 years I could easily get the ball rolling.

Normally a dot com domain costs $25 - $30 a year to register and the monthly hosting of the site varies greatly but can be as little as $10 a month. I prefer to pay for the entire year in advance and get a price break.

Over the last couple of years most of my domain registration and hosting business has gone to IPower.com. They offer a lot of server space (3 Gigs) and a low monthly fee ($7.95), but the best part is they give you 500 email addresses so everyone in our group could have their own email address.

The bottomline: $95.40 for the year (domain registration is included in the yearly fee). If we want to keep the address more than a year it will cost us another $95.40.

Some potential web addresses that are not registered yet are list below:

Note: I am hesitant to include the year (date) in the address since the domain could be used for subsequent cruises. You always have to consider the future. .net domains are for Internet based companies and .org is for non-profit organizations. We could use either

thanksgivingcruise.com // already registered
thanksgivingcruise.net
thanksgivingcruise.org
dclthanksgivingcruise.com

Let me know what you think,

Jeff

Willie....did I see you say you would "supervise me"? :drinking1 Bring it on!!! Hey here is a little something that I do on the weekends.........yes, if you look close in my hand THERE IS a MGD light......

i'm here :)

omgosh my days have become soooooo busy with summer days!!

oldest DD Taylor (almost 13) got home from a weeklong mission trip to Memphis, TN on saturday, we cooked out with neighbors that evening that arose at 5:30 a.m. sunday for a dog show. i awaken much better at 7

BUT - it was her first 'major' win -- her dog won Winners Dog among her variety, the puppy's Daddy beat him for best winner male dog. i think -- i'm still confused by the whole tier of competition at these shows :teeth:

i'm on board if we all chip in for a website, though we are just down to 5 mos and we will not be going next turkey day i'm sure, the rates are soooooo high

molli

Molly we aren't doing turkeyday 06 either. We are doing the 10 night Christmas sailing.....also in Feb. of next year we are doing an "adult" sailing with another cruise line for an anniversary party for frinds of Kims parents. S 3 cruises in 13 months seems good enough

Wow! Lampy...that is talent! Sure hope none of that MGD went in the lake...

Well, DH, Eric has been telling fibs so I had to hold him to his words...we're now headed to Cedar Point for the July 1 - 4...got any bits of advice, oh, wise Lampskies? We haven't been there since 2002...need to go check out the website for info.

Ya'll look like you're having a great summer, too. It's back to the grindstone since we got back from WDW...summer semseter started so Eric's teaching, I interpreting and taking a class...last one I need to complete the certificate in this program. Nic is a true teenager...stays up till midnight, sleeps till ten and vegs the rest of the day. Na, he gets out and about, too, but he's loving his new PC game he got for his birthday, GuildWars.

Well, ya'll take it easy and stay outta the sun...don't want a bunch of crisp turkeys running around.

Laura, we went with about 50 of us and they got the "group rate"....do you see a trend here? They have coupons online for admision discounts....me, I just hung around the camper and "watched the dog"! :rotfl2:

Wow, you're not kidding! I just checked those rates and am flabbergasted! I hadn't planned on Thanksgiving 2006, but wonder if those were the rates when the dates opened? Please DCL, slow down on the rate hikes. :guilty: I want to be able afford our yearly cruise.

Thanks Lampy! I now see where that "life of the party" image I have of you comes from...

Lampy,

Do they still make combos? I have a set if I put Rachel's ski on one foot and mine on the other. :rotfl:

Rachel just won the NJ State Water Ski Slalom championship for her age division!! :cheer2:
