Sportsbook.com has posted odds for total wins by each team in the 2005 NFL season. The Philadelphia Eagles and the Indianapolis Colts open with over/under odds of 11.5 wins, tops in the league, while two-time defending champion New England is listed at over/under 11 wins. The once mighty San Francisco 49ers are at the bottom of the league with an over/under of 4.5.

On a serious note though I do have a question for all:

I have been pondering the passport question for a while and am not sure if I want to put up the bucks now if I don't have to... many people tell me I should (not fellow cruisers) because my life will be easier if I have it for the cruise... who will be using a passport and more importantly who will not??? I'd love to hear from you! I'm in such a dilemma about it...

also, on to the excursion issue... I've begun (again but seriously now) to investigate... remember this is our first ever cruise... my DS will have just turned 8 and my DD will be a few weeks shy of 10... what do you recommend as a do not miss for those of you with past experience... I have been of course looking at: the dolphin swim, stingray city (but which event of all the stingray choices to choose from), the catamaran trip... are the sub trips boring/good/??

do you all go disney or on your own???? I know a lot of these questions are asked/answered in other places on the board but I'd like to hear from my fellow cruisers :)

Someone mentioned max at a table was 30? We could split up in to two if necessary. I have absolutely no preferences... we're all DISers!! :cool1:

We may be up for the Fury cat. We did it two years ago and enjoyed it.

Check this cat out on GC. I wonder if we can charter; we could hit the coral gardens, stingray city then head over to Rum Point for the day. Captain Marvins may be able to put together a package for us as well.

Scorpio,

There's lots-o-screens in diversions. You'll love it. Spent most of the day there myself, in and out with DS. We played chess, ate and watched football. If I remember right T-day 04 was a windy overcast day.

We did the Fury with our kids then 8 & 10. Last year we headed to Paradise Beach and hooked up with Willies family. Most of the time we've done our own excursions. Once with Captain Marvins, the other with Nativeway watersports.

In St Martin once, we booked a day on a cigarette racing boat. Both times we've visited St. Thomas we've hit a beach on our own.

:bounce: JOHNSON INKS EAGLES EXTENSION
The Philadelphia Eagles rewarded defensive co-ordinator Jim Johnson with a four-year contract extension on Thursday.

Over the last five years, Johnson's defence ranked first in the league in fewest points allowed (15.5 per game), sacks (236), third-down defence (33 percent) and red zone defence (86 touchdowns in 213 attempts).

Ratt and Scorpio, there are 16 screens and they can show 4 different games at a time....they usually pick by record....the teams with the winningest records are on tv. (Sure sounds like I'm a dis geek....doesn't it?)
Iceman....I got ya.......just waiting 'till June when I can get a hold of some "friendlies" at WDW for our seating arrangements....
Doogie.....the "30 thing" is approximately how many, servers can handle......so if there is more we would have another set of servers....
As far as excursions, I have always booked thru DCL. I just like the fact that it will be "taken care of". Towels, food, and yes....BEER!!! Sounds like the "Fury" is the excursion of choice in Cozumel......we did it last year and had a blast......Poor John hid from me the rest of the night after drinking all day at the beach.....but he still has 1 day less than 6 months to build up his stamina..... :rotfl2: Where is John?

Actually Doogie.......I remember it by being 2 less than 3 six packs!! :rotfl2:

Thanks Lampskie!!

We also did the Fury last year and had a great time. We would be interested in doing that trip again this year. We also are interested in the stingray excursion in Grand Cayman--that we did not do last year.

How many of you have realized that we're now officially less than six mos. away from our sail date?

I told DH (two days ago,) 'just think, six mos. from today we'll be at the Sailaway party.

I'll be doing an even bigger dance :dancer: when we're down to the double-digits! :Pinkbounc :cool1:

Mickey Hugger -

Hooray! I can't believe it -- we're actually 6 months away! The summer always flies past - I think we'll be there before we know it!

Kris

Thanks for the info Lampskies!!! You can count on me, but how much? Depends on what my wife says!!! I can't make her mad <g>. If she wants us to do something at halftime of a game, then I will have to excuse myself. Hopefully, one of the games will be close. Around 180 days left!!! Hurry up!!

Ratt?? There are no "I must ask my wife" guys hangin' around Diversions :rotfl2: JK If I had to "ask mama" I'd be really boring.... :rotfl2:

Speeiking of askin' "mama"...all you 04 Turkeyday sailors.....remember I baught the new house? Well, the old one still aint sold......yes, I did rent it for a few months and you all met Kim.....that didn't go over well.......so empty it has been for 3 months......now, I have a renter who will pay double the mort. payment....three months up front.....with one year option to buy and 10k more than listed for......hhhmmmmmmm. Sounds too good to be true....what u all think? Willie?????? He asked if i wanted "certified funds"....hmmmmmm Maybe they just need a break.......

LAMPSKIES-You crack me up.I already told dh us gals will have to spend our time at the spa or by the pool while you men are watching the important thing in life FOOTBALL<VBG>.

This new renter sounds too good to be true.I would say go for it.Certified funds sounds good to me!

Maria

Ron.
I would say give me the cert check and I will help move you in myself.

Yep, us "studly men" will be a watching football whilst the ladyfolk get spa'd up..... Wait a minute, I want a massage too! Last year our REAS couples massage was fantastic.
I guess we DID kinda spend some time in Diversions, though! But if I remember, it was not only the guys, but many of the rowdier Turkeys in there were not Jakes, but Hens.

Doogie,
We are game for a charter at GC or Cozumel. It would be pretty cool at Grand Cayman, especially. I wonder how many we would need? We did Captain Marvins last year, and enjoyed it. But hitting a beach also would be great. He has a longer excursion that includes a beach and lunch. We booked it last year, but there were not enough folks booked to do it, so we were changed to a shorter trip. I will contact them to see how many we would need. As it sounds like that may be the next best thing to a private charter, without the extra cost.

Willie

Here is also some info on the Cozumel Fury Catamaran trip. For those who have not done this. It is great fun for the kids and grown ups. When we went Erin got to help raise the sail.

www.furycat.com/cozumel.htm

We WILL have a DIS Turkeys excursion of some sort.

I seem to see something missing!!!!! Icewater and fruit punch? :confused3

Yeah, at GC, there is only one boat that is licensed to sell beer. And it is usually filled up months in advance. If we private charter, we may be able to bring something aboard. Or maybe at the Kaibo Country Club.
