Kris......I'm in a community called Lakes of The Four Seasons. It's a gated community actually about 12 miles east of Crown Point. About 6 miles east of I-65 and 5 miles south of rt. 30. The middle of the lake I live on is split between lake and porter counties but all homes have Crown Point zip codes. There are 4 lakes and an 18 hole golf course. The web site is www.lofs.org
Willie, no skeeter bites here.....imagine the "skeeter hangover" if one got a sip of some of my "lite blood"!
Hmmmmmm, I knew you all would take the bait......but it actually has to do with some "upgrades" in dry dock......are ya takin' the bait? Anyone want a hint? Who wants to guess?
Headin' to Indy Doogie? You'll have a blast!!! Ever been there? If not let me know I have a secret parking spot!! We go there for the brickyard....You don't realize how big it is till you figure out you have parked at the wrong end of the track!!!!
Upgrades... mmmm to the ship right, while in dry dock? They're adding a casino, where you gamble with and win Disney Dollars!!! A bigger Rockin' D Bar? Free upgrades to the DISers!!!??
Lamps, yes been to Indy a few times. Parking's not a problem, I get to park in the garage area. My brother owns a company that builds and supplies the gearboxes for the series, he parks his transporter with all the other rigs near hospitality. Usually we get to one race a year and get some backstage treatment. We've met drivers, sit in the garages and watch the teams work. Occasionally we get in the hot pits; but thats off limits to kids. I even got to sit in on a pre-race team meeting once. There's a lot of strategy they don't tell you about on TV and a lot of science and physics behind getting around the track for time trials.
I figured my 12 year old is old enough to experience the awe of Indy. I can't believe how big the place is.
LAMPSKIES-Come on now tell us as the great Dis minds want to know!I will take a guess of being able to access the internet in your stateroom as well as cafes.
Ahhhhhhhhh........Maria, you must have the same "girlfriend" as me.......who has a laptop with wireless access?????? Just can't figure out how to "charge" just yet........the only thing free at DCL is the sixth beer when you order 5 at CC!! It just might be "available" for the "repo" cruise in Aug........ssshhhhhhhhhh no one knows.....but Maria!!!!
Lampskies-DH actually got me laptop this year for v-day and it has wireless access.Gosh it would be so great if we could use it in our stateroom although it won't keep me from the Cove Cafe. That would be great if they started it in August.Let me know if you hear anything else. Thanks!
That is good to know about the beers at Castaway Cay.We usually get a konk kooler and I can't remember for the life of me what the other drink is I know it has a banana in it.
On the sailings after Thanksgiving they have a drink on CC called a "snowflake" in honnor of the "snow" that flies on the pier during the holidays. It is a coconut Icecream drink that Kim loved.....
We tried the Snowflake and the only knock that I had for it was that the recipe calls for vanilla ice cream, and the bartender uses a powdered ice cream, not the real stuff. You could tell. Really liked the konk koolers though.
see now i'm not a huge fan of the konk kooler -- the snowflake sounds awesome but only with real ice cream, no powder blech!
i made konk koolers at home not to long ago, well i changed the juice to a minute maid light drink but still was darn close. that is the only DCL drink recipe i have. i didn't really experiment with drinks last time; but DH had a couple froo-froo shots after dinner
so what was the big rumor??? some kind of included upgrade? hmmm.........i'd like laundry service included i'd settle for ironing LOL
six months from today we'll be at the BOARDWALK!!! YEA!!!!!!
