I'd hope to be seated with a family with a 9-11 year old DD.
Well I do happen to have a 9-11 year old DD :flower: (she'll be 10 in December) but I'm also hoping she will hang out with her 8 year old brother!!!! ;)

not many days but i've sure missed alot

scorpio -- we have booked REAS (first time) and requested the APL rotation (well to our TA but i don't think it's to DCL yet) as for the rose petals, i'm sure it'll be neat and fun, but i doubt productive with DDs 13 and 8 (which btw my 8 y/o will be almost 9, but in the same group as your DD). I booked REAS b/c I knew i would book a massage and Palo, so i'd be spending the $$ anyhow. my DH has had a massage only once and he'd not book one himself, so i figured this way he'd be pampered too

Kris -- glad to hear you had a great trip!!!! i got goosebumps reading about the GC experience (and seeing the Magic!)

Laura -- cyber high five on the weight loss! that is awesome

Willie -- too bad Kelli is shy about her weight loss -- she might like the WISH board. which btw -- i'm going to find our cruise thread and bump it back up for us. http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=707875 sounds like we have some folks thinking healthier in prep for summer and upcoming vacations!

lamp you had me :rotfl: about how to properly drink a low carb brewhaha. i break all the rules, i just pop the top and drink it! i like Mich Ultra though, no flaming! i'm really more a wine drinker nowadays

who posted they wanted to workout/walk the deck on the cruise? i remember reading that and now can't find it again! i was overwhelmed! My mom and I will be walking the deck in the mornings too, I hope to hit a pilates class and my youngest DD and I want to do yoga on the beach at CC. come join us on the WISH link I just posted and we will definately make commitments and keep each other accountable! i dont' want to gain alot on the cruise but i know i will eat and drink and eat and drink!

we are early dining - APL requested with DDs (at cruise) 13 and almost 9, and my parents (late 50s) and would love request our dining be connected with families on this thread

Molli

Mickeyhugger, on enery one of our 4 sailings we were placed at a table for 4 all by ourselves.....maybe it's me? :drinking1 I don't think they'll put us together.....an earlier post Jihn said something about a food fight :rotfl2:
Molli, DW Kim walks the deck while we sail, and there is a "one mile walk" at CC. Both times she went she was the only one.....I personally prefer to limit my excercise to "12 oz. curls" :rotfl2: :drinking1 and jumping around stage with my :rockband:

Willie!!!! I got that "package" yesterday in the mail :rockband: It's AWSOME....are those you feet in the pic? It was my day to drive in the car pool so I plugged it into the Expedition and picked up the other 5 kids......half way to school.....(let me set the mood, it's 6:40 ,"some beach" is playing, it's 43 and raining) Alli says, "this isn't fair, it's cold and rainy and with this cd playing all I can think of is CC and a smoothie!" :rotfl2: Tell me she's not a chip off the old block!!!

Lampy, I am glad you liked your birthday present!
Yeah, those are my feet. That is my favorite view! The white beach of Cozumel!

Enjoy the CD!

Loved it, thanks Willie......see the blur of Ron Bon Jovi? Think I can still do it at 40? :rotfl2:

Thanks for all the support on the weight loss...it's been a slow process, but I figure slower is better...might stay off better.

zeke11...nope, unfortunately I am not going to be cruising with ya'll...we were on the original Turkey Gang Cruise in 2004, but didn't rebook for 2005...we bought DVC instead and will be heading to WDW...8 days...for our first Christmas as a family...I mean, without all of the extra relatives pulling us in a zillion different directions for once...and we just found out we could sneak in an extra trip this June for 6 days to rejuvenate. I've been way too stressed this year since my dad's health took a turn for the worse, but I'm pleased to say he is making a great recovery....should have him back in his own house mid-summer from the assisted living facility; just waiting to remodel his bathroom and kitchen to make life a bit easier for him. And for ya'll from the 2004 cruise know...things with my sister are calming down also...not as many trips to the specialists in St. Louis...her seizures are getting under control and we are in a waiting game with her divorce...she was in a very abusive marriage and is permanently disabled from the husband...but things are looking up for her and that lightens my load also. But all of the time I've had to devote to that part of my family has taken away from the quality of life from my immeadiate family of 3...so, we are running away to do what we enjoy for a few days.

Well, hope all is good with ya'll!! We are in the midst of some bad storms...heavy rain, lightning, winds and hail...I know nothing like Texas though...well, yep, Willie, we get our share of 'em here and tornados too! Just not as often I think...

Take care!

Looks like the storms are missing us.......a little rain but no bad storms!!

Congrats Willie, Kelli, Laura and the rest of ya'all on your weight losses!! That is great!! I need to follow your lead!!

Regarding dining rotation-we loved the APL rotation. We were in Lumiere's for Formal and Semi Formal nights and in PC for Pirate night. We thought that the rotation was perfect!! Since we are not booking the REAS package, we will have to put our trust that we will have the same rotation this year!!

Hey Julie,
when we (2004 Turkeys) rebooked onboard, didn't you put a request for our reservations to be linked for the same area of dining room and rotation? I hope so, because I really don't have a favorite rotation. I liked all of the restaurants! And we are booking Palo for Tuesday nite, so we will have hit all of them once already. It would be great to have tables near or with other DIS'ers.

Lampy, That is a great shot from your Palo Brunch! I told ya you would like it! This year we I will get us there on the same day!

Willie

Willie....looks like we can be "friends" on Turkey day...Nfl shedule is out..no Bears.....

Atlanta at Detroit, 12:30 p.m. Denver at Dallas, 4:15 p.m.

Just :drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1 :rockband: what ya think? :rotfl2:

We would like to sit near everyone at dinner and we would also like to be part of the group Palo brunch. Last November we were at the brunch on monday the same time as the other Disers, but we were at our own table. If anyone knows if we can arrange a group dis brunch that would be great!!

Hey Gang!!

Congrats on all you weight losers... I just ate a large pizza from Pat's Pizza in Philly. :mickeybar ... but I ran an hour today.

Count us in on the dining... who's coordinating the seating? We could care less about rotation.

I'm in Wilmington, DE this week for work; unfortunately haven't had any time at all to check things out. I haven't even been able to run outside as we haven't left the office till late.

We were in KC for the weekend for figureskating; I'm ready to be home. DD got 3rd in both of her events. She fell twice in her freeskate, once on a double showcow, and the other at the end of an axel-loop-double shawcow combination. We were all a bit disappointed as she usually doesn't fall from those two jumps.

We have no idea what we're going to do for excursions. The kids loved paradise beach, but it's so much fun to be with ya'll; I'd love to drink some beers on the Fury!! We've done Stingray City twice, anyone else have suggestions in GC? I've heard good things about Rum Point Beach. DS would also be into chartering a boat to go fishing.

we are at Palo for brunch on first sea day (monday right, it's early)

lampy -- can you give us 'intros' on the picture from left to right? :)

Lampy
Love it
The only picture w/o a miller lite in your hand!
And yes, you pretty guys do not "DRIVE" your cars! :moped:
If i had a Chevy, i would not either!, i would be afraid it would break down once i got to 5k rpm! :goodvibes :rotfl2:
Your old neighbor has great taste!

John :earboy2:

Ohmon, that's the 5cjs on the left then, John help me out I forgot the gal that joined us lates name, Then Dw Kim, myself and the couple to the right was our neighbors that sailed with us, the Fargos........

Hey Doogie!!!! How cool would it be if us "disers" chartered a boat.....just us? There isn't much to do in GC.....if we still go. It looks like there might be enough interest for anout 20 or 30 to charter one.....when I get to work I'll check online......Maybe I'll even give my "girlfriend" a call and se if she has any updates on GC and any recomendations.

Iceman, I'm going to ask for late APL, maybe if we get enough together who are doing romance at sea we could pull it off. We should have some pull, I've sailed 5 times and almost everyone here is a repeat sailer....there sould be some perks other than a couple towels and pins, right? :rotfl2:

you know guys?
when you take a week off from reading the DIS, it takes a while to stop laughing and getting through all of the post!
I am trying to focus on WORK, FAMILY, And GOLF!
in that order, SIGH!
DS is.....well, uh....Just doesn't get it. i guess that is why we have 3 kids!

Congrats everyone on the weight loss. Me, well, i still look like Lamps picture on the left in PALO's. I have a sunburn from the Convertable and Golf this past w/e.

Lamps -thanks for posting the BEER LIST
just like i have been trying to convert you on the ship, wine is better!

john :earboy2:

Laura -

I'm sorry I won't get to meet you! But it sounds like you have a lot of other cool things planned. So that is good!

Sorry also about all the family concerns and happy for you that things are looking up all around.

I just got back from Grand Cayman - wow, was there a HUGE deal with the tenders there involving all the cruise ships in port. Yikes!

Kris

Willie....and Doogie (sounds like we have the same type house) Here we are at Homedepot getting some stuff for our rental (THINK IT'S SOLD :cool1: ) and I go thru the garden center......I bought some palm trees to sit by the bar and listen to that C.D. (not cross dresser :rotfl2: ) Got that music in my mind.......
hey Doogie......you think I have time off now, check this out......There is a company that does outside sales for dealerships.....they want me to come work with them in my area...I'd be there mgr for the sales.....same pay or more and......only 2 weekends a month :rotfl2: Wednesdays thru Mondays...... :cool1: Looks like I'll have Johns hours!!!!! :rotfl2:
