Just to get a plug in for my DW on her hobbies -

She used to cross-stitch when she commuted into Boston on the bus and the subway when we were first married.

She used to do basket weaving when we lived in Ohio - got pretty good at it too.

Now she has an embroidery machine.

Oh, and she did all the cool painting (faux finish, I guess) in our current house.

And she even found time to keep me out of trouble.

OK, everyone, especially the ladies, I need to fill you in on Mrs. TCD. This will help you see if you have something in common with her in case your conversation should ever hit one of those awkward lulls.

Mrs. TCD likes:

1. Oprah

2. Martha Stewart (she did her time, so it is all good)

3. Chocolate

4. Longaberger Baskets (you Ohio ladies know what this is all about)

5. Complaining about me (Mr. TCD/Andrew)

Mrs. TCD is a pre-school teacher. I think we have some other teachers along, so you all can talk about teacher stuff.

Mrs. TCD's name is Molly. Maybe we should call her Florida Molly, because we already have an Ohio Molli (OhMom). She hates it when someone tells her that they had a pet named Molly, and for whatever reason she gets that a lot. Make sure you tell her about your pet named Molly, even if you never had one. She likes to talk about it.

I hope you were paying attention during some of my previous posts. There are a lot of things that Mrs. TCD is better off not knowing. She doesn't approve of wild behavior or horseplay, and no cussing!

But, Mrs. TCD does like a drink, so if we get a couple in her, she will be a lot more fun (you don't need to mention this to her, thanks). Once Mrs. TCD gets going, we will all have fun.

OK, I'm glad that we had this moment of sharing. We will all have a better cruise because of it.

Andrew (tri-circle-d)

Your wife and I are going to get along great.I love Oprah, chocolate and I was preschool/director for a daycare center for almost twelve years. Now,I run my own at home. That is our job to complain about our hubby's :rotfl2:

Okay, just to prove how goofy I am, here is some of my Goofy collection. My wife had to put the shelves up the staircase to hold most of it. Notice the sign on my desk on the last picture. That is truly how I am. And yes, my DW is an enabler of my habit.

Julia,

Hang in there. Just got home after a night of running kids to sports... crazy It is soooo cold here now.

Paul, love the goofies.

Andrew, Mrs. Tri-D and Mrs. Doogie are going to need to hookup. Mrs. Doogie is a teacher... and at times exhibits some of the same behaviour as Tri-D... but love her dearly  . I'm always in the dog house. It's because us boys are just too easy going and fun :rotfl2: . Immature comes to mind... not irresponsible... immature :rotfl2: . Lamps?

I was just looking at the Navigators from last week on Barb's site.
FYI-Here's what Monday looks like:

2pm Margarita tasting $15 @Diversions
2:15pm-3:30pm Wine Tasting $15 @ Sessions
4pm Beer tasting $12 @ Diversions
4pm-5pm Martini tasting $15 @ Sessions

Looks like I know how I'll be spending my birthday :drinking1

Does it only take 15 min to taste the Margarita?? They must be quick shots. I am worried I won't be able to make it to all of the tastings? are these locations close? I might need a shuttle.

I'm with you Doug. My favorite hat (after my Goofy hat) is one from WDW that says "I'm never growing up." Life is too short.

And to think that it all started with a free wind-up Goofy-riding-on-a-bull Burger King promotion toy from "The Goofy Movie." I guess you need something to do when you turn 30. :rotfl2:

I guess it is like "it all started with a mouse."

Oh, Cindyk, I LOVE your kittens. They remind me of my black and white cat I had in high school. (Over 30 years ago, and I still miss her! )

Can I be their godmother?

Gina,

You'll need more than a shuttle if you hit all those. You'll need a wheelbarrow and someone to push it. :rotfl2: :crazy2: Oh, and just because I don't drink doesn't mean I'm any good at pushing a wheelbarrow. :earboy2:

Any takers whether or not we'll stick to the same itenerary?

Thoughts? Yes, I agree with Lamps and who's that other guy who posts a lot ? Tri-something... (do I hear a noncessant chatter)? A double dip on CC with an eastern would be difficult to do... looks like they'll need to extend our cruise for an additional day !

Looks like the TD/TS/Hurricaine to be may make a u-turn north, based on the maps I am seeing. I don't claim to be a weather expert, but what meterologoist is an expert??? :confused3 :rotfl2:

Paul, your Goofy collection makes me want to purchase a Goofy while on this cruise. Our last few trips to Disney, I've picked one up, put it down, gone back, picked it up, etc. This time, I think I'll pick him up, but not put him down! He'll be mine to hug :grouphug: . (Sorry Mickey, guess I'll have to change my userID, LOL!)

OH MY GAWD !!!!!

My son(27 yrs) informed me tonight that he has purchased a gas power Deep Turkey fryer and will cook dinner for his friends on Thanksgiving.

Oh MY -
All I can picture is that commercial for windows and the guy in the back yard is blowing up the grill......

I got the famous reply - "Don't Worry"

Mary

 :guilty: :rolleyes1 :teeth:

Kris (Zeke 11)--Pardon? I had a dog named Paczki, but that's as far as I could go with translation.

Andrew (Tri Circle D)--DH teaches preschool, and I love Oprah, so we should get along fine with Mrs. TCD...if she's still speaking to me after I tell her about my pets.

5 o'clock somewhere--Thanks! Clearly, you'd think I was done packing and didn't have a zillion things to do before the DAY AFTER TOMORROW! :earseek:

I actually forgot what I said....it was something about looking forward to our cruise and to meeting everyone. I don't really speak Polish. You can do anything on the internet.

Kris

Chuck and I were just catching up...We love all of the animal pix (especially Julia's cat sleeping w/ a teddy bear). Unfortunately, we had to give our black lab, Zeke, to a friend a few years back when we learned that Mason had bad allergies.

One thing we noticed--Kenny--on your packing list you don't mention any shorts or pants??? Are you planning on dressing like Winnie the Pooh or Tom Cruise in Risky Business???

Chuck and Lisa

Thanks, Doogie...I'm trying to hang in there. I talk to John a few hours ago...complaining to him how overwhelming I'm feeling. I got to finish up a faux painting job at a client's house tomorrow morning, which should have been done today and thousands of other things to do...John says to me, "Honey, don't worry. If we forget anything, we can buy it down there". Ugh... :sad2: I don't like that...I feel that I have not done my job!!! So I definantly need more PD :wizard: ...ummm...

Captain: "All the Dis'ers with Lime green shirts...you get an extra day at CC...drinks are on us". (shouting in the background) Yeah! WOW!!!

Captain: Lampskies...No no no no...you didn't wear your lime green shirt...sorry. :rotfl: :rotfl:

Just kidd'n with you Lampy.
