And regarding Ohio - since my wife is from Ohio (lived there 18 years, then another 9 1/2 with me), and her sister still lives in the Columbus area, we could probably count with their total - that is if the rest of the OH folks want to claim us.

Goofyhouk - you have my vote - another cheering section for Bucks over Michigan - right ????

Welcome yogamomme - I was impressed that you booked last week too, everything I kept seeing was boat was full - your TA must have connections........... possibly Lampies girlfriend ?? Lamp - still wondering is there really any word as to whether Molli's family and my DH and I did get onto the list of the later diners????

I'm off ~ my treadmill is calling me...........after perusing a thread the other day with pixs of the food available - I know I am taking clothes that allow me to "expand" - by the end of the week - probably will be wearing a muu-muu (Boy that dates me doesn't it)

KennyK, Thanks for the spreadsheet!! We still have not received DOCS!!! However, we did find out that DD (13 until 12/22) will most likely be available to spend Thanksgiving with us. Is it it possible to be happy and sad at the same time??? She was booked on our original cruise plans (cat8), then when we found out she would be unalbe to go (waited till last minute to cancel, hoping we would be able to take her) called our TA to take her off our resv. I am fairly sure that is why we got upgraded last week from a cat 8 that sleeps 4 to a cat 6 that evidently sleeps 3. (they wanted to free up our cat 8 for a party of 4, I guess) SO I called TA back to tell him we were 90% sure she would be going, and wanted to add her back on- he called back to tell me DCL didn't have any quads available at this time (that's when I realized that our new room only slept 3!!) SO our fingers our crossed- it will be a bummer if we have to downgrade below our original cat 8!!! If the worst scenario plays out, and no quads become availalbe, we wiil have to probably substitute DD for DH. Fortunaltely we were driving to FL, so at least plane tickets won't be an issue!!! On the bright side... it's almost time to sail!!!!!!!

Maria, tell your uncle to apply for FEMA and American Red Cross assistance asap, while he is evacuated. The procedures for who gets help, and who does not varies wildly. But I know the earlier the better. Some folks around here that really need help were unable to apply the first week after the storm,and were denied any help by FEMA and ARC when they applied too late. The reasoning was that the emergency is over now, and you survived, so you must not need help now. It does not matter that we have thousands here still homeless due to their homes were destroyed by Rita. There is not a hotel room or rental property available within a hundred miles right now.
Needless to say, there are alot of P.O.'ed people in Texas and Louisiana about how Rita victims were treated, compared to the outpouring of help for Katrina victims.

What makes things worse is that our local towns took in and warmly welcomed the New Orleans Katrina victims here. ( over 5 thousand locally) So many rental properties and apartments were already full. With FEMA paying their housing and most other expenses. But local folks out of a home due to Rita are being told there is no help for them.
Now the crime rate has soared since we took in Katrina victims, with most of the perpetrators being our New Orleans "guests". The night after hurricane Rita, the Lumberton Walmart near me was broken into and an attempt to begin the looting was made. A friend of mine who is a police officer told me that they spent a couple of hours chasing the looters through the woods. Yep, they were a family of evacuees from downtown New Orleans. So, on top of rebuilding, we have what I guess could be called "friction" between the country and city folks.
Sorry to put this on this thread, but you won't hear about these things on CNN.

We are from Missouri and are extremely excited about going on this cruise.




I see you are from Cincinnati, when are you flying out and on what airline? We are flying to the hub there and then on South.

CVG has a monopoly with Delta, it is one of the most expensive Airports in the country. I mostly fly out of Dayton or Columbus as doe most from Cincinnati(unless company pays).

Just in case you/yours is not excited yet, spend a few hours reading the post you will crack up and also worry.... why did i sign up with these guys.

Your kids are at a perfect age, they may not want to spend much time with you. Disney does a great job entertaining them while the parents are relaxing/ spending money!

Doing the doc dance (again). UPS showed up with another set of cruise tickets: same room number and itinerary. Any guesses of why some of us are getting duplicates and others haven't received theirs? Our first set arrived almost 2 weeks ago. I'll bring both with us unless I hear differently.

Who did you book through? We got ours two weeks ago in the "burbs". Over the weekend we got another set for one of the two rooms that we have booked. Any clue what that is about??

Hey all!!! I'M BACK!!!! Camped this weekend and getting caught up on everything else......have to get boat and R.V. ready for storage for Sunday and get that "pop machine" filled with miller lites for the "adults" trick or treating Monday

Did we ever decide on an OFFICIAL time and meet? I think there was something mentioned a few pages back. Since there are a few who didn't order the DISboard shirts, as well as a few 'newbies' (again, a big welcome ) maybe we could meet somewhere?

What does everyone think? (Or what page was this originally posted? LOL!)

The DISboards meet our family attended last year was the 'secret deck' on Deck 7. Or what about the Promenade lounge? I'd seen where others meet at the Sailaway party, but we might be distracted by all of the other fun going on?

Who wants to head this up? Should we take a vote? Share your thoughts here!

Hey, just phoned my GF and she's not there but an assistant said "plan on going to Cozumel, especially for the "holiday" week". Updates will be posted on DCLs web site under "weather". Sorry guys, I have SO MUCH going on I just can't get into it just yet.
Julia, just got word that we have a "housewarming" party for on of my friends who baught a house on the other side of the lake Nov. 5th and am hosting another "texas holdem'" tourney on the 12th.....of course this weekend id Holloween......Kim and DDs are going to "freight night" at Great America Friday night and pumpkin carving Saturday night.....me? Millers and winterising of the camper....Oh ya, maybe watching a Sox parade.......

Priscilla, last year we met on deck 10 overlooking the port and the party. There is a porta bar there with all the "fixins" and it's not really crowded. Dw and DDs enjoyed the dancing on Deck 9 and Willie and myself enjoyed the miller lites........

We have a three legged flight, Springfield, Cincinnati, Nashville then Orlando. We saved a ton of cash so we can spend it on our cruise.

I do like the board. Finally people as crazy as I am (no offense).
