No docs yet. We booked through USAA travel services (affiliated with our insurance company). We got a flyer from them about a week ago about the "rent for one day at CC and get the second day rental free," and brochures about shore excursions and DCL gifts. I was looking at the DCL web page (for info about possible impacts of Wilma - and there weren't any yet), and read that docs should reach us "about" 28 days prior to cruise. So hopefully early next week? Maybe with a little pixie dust...

On the island of Cozumel, which has been isolated since the then-Category 4 storm roared through Friday, fruit and vegetable salesman Jorge Ham, 26, told The Associated Press by phone that winds had dropped significantly. He saw no catastrophic damage during a brief tour of downtown Saturday.

“There are broken windows, downed trees, fallen power lines, but nothing else,” he said. “People have taken shelter.”

This guy wants us there! If we go we must buy a fruit or vegetable from him!!

Hard to believe!

the time is getting closer.................. no docs in OH - almost thought it was happening the other day - usual time for deliveries and the doorbell rang..........my heart skipped a beat.......... but just our new running/walking shoes we ordered!

Welcome to all who are new ~ I can't imagine reading this WHOLE thread from the beginning - good luck!! Make sure you check out sending Doogie your info so you get on the spreadsheet - I really do want to use it as a "cheat-sheet" for names, birthdays, room location, etc.

Goofyhouk - hey we're from one of those cities in your long list of previous addresses (Dayton, OH). We live very near the cross road of I-75 and I-70. Hope Wright PattersonAFB was a good experience for you! And, our room is #2611 so we will be neighbors again soon. Did you read the part where ohMom (Molli) is my DD ? they will be neighbors too!

and speaking of birthdays - there are several being celebrated while on board - oops just checked that - you AREN'T celebrating a birthday - it's Happy Anniversary to you guys

and I agree with Sherri - not only Jorge but everyone will want us there and they will do their darnest to get that place "spiffed-up" ASAP. Sherri - did you get a good look at Jorge Ham so we can find him.........????

Have a good Sunday everyone - I am seriously thinking of getting serious about some list making today to get ready ALL the stuff that I will need - first thing on the list is to remind myself that I am taking 1/2 of what I pack out of my suitcase - so why pack it in the first place??? Now, I just gotta remember my plan

I don't think GC got touched at all other than some wind and rain. I would doubt we'll be on an Eastern itenerary, but I'd place bets we won't be going to COZ. Last year, when DCL bypassed COZ, they took folks to Costa Maya.

If anybody hears anything, please post. I doubt they'll be any announcement on itenerary changes until after Wilma passes. They're busy keeping the Magic and Wonder out of Wilma's path and most likely monitoring any potential affect at CC.

Hi everyone!! Once again everyone in South Florida is in hurricane mode--shutters are up and everything is closed for tomorrow. We extend our prayers to those on the west coast of Florida where Wilma is expected to initially come on land tomorrow morning. Also, we hope that Wilma's path doesn't affect CC--right now there is a hurricane watch over the Abaco Islands.

On a lighter note---Go White Sox!! Sorry Willie and anyone else who may be rooting for the Astros!! We were able to watch the game last night between Wilma updates!!

If you don't have hotel rooms yet for Friday night... Here's a site that shows accepted priceline bids by city. I've used it several times for reference when we travel for figure skating and those short... need a room for a night when we CRUISE.

It was great talking to Julia,John and Willie last night.I called at the right time as John was talking to Willie.Every time I talk to Julia she just gets me more excited about this cruise.

the5J's-You aren't the only one with a big kid.My big kid is playing the playstation right now.I am glad he is relaxing though.He is quiet,but when he gets started watch out<G>!I loved John's itinerary if we don't go to eastern or western.I would love to do CC three or four times<G>!I am counting the days for that konk kooler on the island.

DOOGIERUNNER-I know what you are saying about Costa Maya,but it looks like they had some Wilma as well.I surely do hope we stay on the Western Itinerary or if not that Disney lets us know ahead of time.

ICEMANPAD-Let us know if you need anything.We are out of harm's way so far as we didn't really get anything from Charley except rain..I am sure you all have been getting some rain from it as we have at least they are saying it is rain bans from Wilma.You and everyone down South are in our prayers.

the5J's-I wish I was still asleep.DH best friend woke us telling us that he was getting out of harm's way just in case.He should be here by now,but I am sure there are tons of people on I75 trying to get out of South FL.The four way phone worked great.Thank you!We actually will be getting to port around 9:30AM on that Saturday morning.DH just told me they allow you into the terminal at 10AM.Yes,we are eager<G>!The time in line goes so fast while you are talking to others around you.You will find us as we are two Disneynuts without children having a great time!I am the loudest,but once you get dh going he can get loud too<G>!All I say is I feel for all those people in Cozumel.That is so sad.There is no way DCL is going there.
