how sad to hear ARC is not there yet -- any other organizations I hope! i heard that church organizations have been among the first to arrive to aid the hurricane victims

doogie -- know that busy feeling! our weekends are booking up too! do we have a website running? should we all put family pics in our siggies for face recognition? LOL but seriously. Preston, my DH, wasn't thrilled at wearing a lime green T but he said if it's important to me he will, so wear it he will. we are bringing OSU t-shirts for later in the day for the big football game too. or whenever kick off is, i'm just in it for the fashion!

Taylor, my 13 y/o DD will NOT wear a lime T. humphf!

i'm definately making magnetic door signs. i have already posted my first on the door sign thread on the regular cruise board. i hope to work on those soon.


Preston and my Dad, Dan, are into TX hold'em. i barely play. Taylor plays but if it's in diversions i guess she couldn't come. we had a poker tourney for her 13th birthday, family and friends but only about 15 players. it was a really good time. Mom, my youngest DD Paige and I were 'servers' for the night and served shrimp cocktail parfaits, cocktails, and delivered prizes for specific winning hands. great time

Glad to hear that you have power, even if only at work, and are able to post again. Our prayers and thoughts continue to be with you, your family and all who have been affected. Is there anything that we can do to help? Send specific things needed to your area? Just let us know! I hope Kellie and the girls are doing well in Mississippi.

Lampy...glad to hear that you are back among the Turkeys too! Kinda thought work might have bogged ya down. Whoa! Homecoming? Ouch! Thank goodness Nic isn't into that yet...girls are still just okay in his book...not that he's not looking, but right now there's just so much more (read as CARS!!!! He was drooling over a new vette he saw parked at the mall last night). Maybe I'll be lucky and sill ol' girls won't be so great for a long time....mom's can hope right?

Door signs are a great idea! I made one for our door last year and then I made a small one (postcard size) for all the Turkey cruisers on the DIS. I went the less expensive route and used card stock I had, then laminated them at home (clear contact paper), and used the adhesive backed magnetic tape on the back. It worked great. I don't think I have a photo of that loaded on my laptop or I'd post it for ya. I also had read on a thread here about playing tag with the DIS group, so made another sign that had Mickey laying in a hammock and wrote something about "You've been tagged by the Turkey Tag Fairy" then placed on Willie's door to start with then it found its way around some of the other Turkeys...still can't remember who ended up with it.

Well, ya'll are really shaping up to have a very magical cruise! I am hoping that someone will be posting from the ship...would love to see a group photo of ya'll in those lime green Turkey DIS shirts.

Yes....that's right, my DH, I am having some fun just so that Willie's cute little girl can be happy that we are CRUISING again.

Laura mentioned the TURKEY TAGGERS last year....That was a lot of fun...and yeah...who were the last one had it????

Uh oh, my DH is yelling at me....I got addicted with this DIS board...well, you started it and I'm gonna keep on posting....Nov. 19th is coming closer....well...kinda coming....ugh...it's taking too long!!!!!

I am going to place the order on Monday 10/10. So please check your order, and if you want in on the action, post your request here, and I will add you to the list. I will probably check the thread on the morning of 10/10 before I call the order in.

Oh, yeah, remember that the smallest I can order is a youth medium. I am not sure about the sizes above XXL, but I will ask.

Can kids play bingo? My almost 6 year old will want to play with me, he's really into games like that!

What did they serve for Thanksgiving dinner last year? That's the semi-formal night, so will they have lobster tails or change it up for the holiday?

Hi Tana,

Bingo games are for adults ...I believe they have to be eighteen. I think for the set of bingo cards it cost like between 15 to 20 dollars...not sure. These can be large pot of money...

For Thanksgiving dinner, they have a menu like all the other nights except different. They have Turkey dinner and other entrees such as steak, fish, etc. When I went last year, I thought they would have a large plate of turkey slices, bowl of mash potatoes, sweet potatoes, and so on and serve it to our table, but nope it wasn't like that...
