Is everyone wearing the t-shirts on embarkation day? It will be difficult for me to wear lime green, but it will fun to finally meet everyone in person!

Hey, TanaL....You won't even notice you have the Lime green t-shirts on...and YES, you will have fun meeting others and especially when you first walk in to register, there will be others and it's easier to spot them. If you are worried that T-shirst does not go with anything, it will... when they take pictures...it's shows that you are already having fun. There will be plenty of photograghers during the cruise to get a nice family portrait..(the formal night it's the best)

Just to let you know, Tana...We went to our first DC in June of 2002,
we did communicate with people on DIS Board and we were to meet on Deck 10 with green ribbons to be pinned on our shirts....that did not go well at all. Trying to find others and making a fool of yourself looking at their shirts to find the little green ribbons. We only hung around one couple and never really communicate with them afterwards....ssoooo, this group we met last year with LIME GREEN T-shirts worked out even better but it was more than better when we met Lampy, Willie, Icemanpad, momsgoofy, Doogie and others...and here we are still communicating and meeting again as well as meeting all the newbies on this 2005 Cruise....THIS is an AWESOME group to have fun with.

I hope when everyone reads this, that we all WEAR our LIME GREEN T-shirts before you walk in the DCL Station. Jeans goes well with green...or even better..Black shorts. Tana...now I'm getting very excited...can't you tell?!!! I can't wait...

Hey ya'll! Just wanted to let you know that I finally heard from Teresa (silver7) yesterday afternoon...would have posted sooner, but last night got busy with Nic's music lessons.

Teresa said it took them 30 hours to get from Houston to Texarkana! Wow! She told me to tell ya'll that every car they saw had their pets with them...unlike Katrina when folks had to leave them behind. When we talked she said they were about 100 miles north of Houston and other than some minor car problems with David's (the oldest son, 16) car needing a fuel filter she said they were making good time...about 6 hours. I asked about her MIL (considering the long drive) and Teresa said Mark's brother met up with them and he drove their mom back to Houston. Teresa said she'd spoken with neighbors and their house is fine...just no power I think. She sounded pretty happy to be returning home, but felt badly for those folks from Beaumont and Port Charles area...said she spoke with one person who'd been home and left for a bit and now couldn't get back in his home...he had nothing with him, not even clothes. She said on the drive back it's just been awful seeing the destruction...can't believe how bad it is.

Julia...Teresa said hello back and thanks for thinking of them...she'll miss being on the cruise, too!

Well, that is all I have...glad to hear that Willie is doing good. It looks like the house is still in great shape...just have to deal with all of those trees.

Yep! She's been very busy with it, too! Told me she even had to take care of some clients right up until the night before they left Houston because of the hurricane. She also told me Robotics is starting soon, but with the younger son, so she should be pretty busy with that, too.

On our first cruise I got the beer glass for obvious reasons.....Is it worth bringing with me on this cruise? I don't mind buying another one, but I heard they changed the glass or went to plastic. Any other beer drinkers bringing the glass with them??

Good question Bill,

Me too, I bought the glass on our first and have forgotten to take it on our others. On each of our cruises they rotate the glass, same glass different color. I think there were two cruises that they had the exact same glass.

OK guys, I should have a revised design for the t-shirts in the next day or two. The only change will be the addition of the disboards address at the bottom of hte design. If you want to look at the design, take a look at post 2048, above. The exact price of the shirts will depend on how many we order, but it will be in the range of $8.00 per shirt, including tax. The shirts will be printed on lime green 100% cotton t-shirts. The design will be screened on in a dark blue.

As 5J mentions above, these shirts will make it easy to know who is part of the gang, and be a fun way to get to meet each other.

So, if you are in, what I need to know is how many you want, and what sizes. You can order any adult size, and youth sizes down to a youth medium. These are standard sized, pre-shrunk shirts.

By the way, I did inquire about having names printed on the shirts, but that would substantially increase the cost, and also make this a lot harder to get done. So, the design will be what you see on post 2048, except the disboards address will be added.

It will take a week to week and a half to get the shirts printed once I place the order. I think that this means I ought to place the order by no later than Monday, October 10. This will give me time to pick up the shirts and send them to those of you who want them in advance.

For right now, let me have your order. We can worry about the money part of it later. I know where to find you between November 19 and 26th.

I know that Willie is interested in shirts. I am sure that he has plenty of other things to worry about right now. So, somebody that knows him and his family let me know what sizes to order for them, and I will include his shirts in our order.

Let's all do this!

Once everyone has had a chance to post their order, I will make up a summary of what I am going to order so you can review it.

Hi Tri-Circle-D;

Again, THANK YOU, so much for doing this, we all appreciate this very much.

I have suggestions and/or questions: (not trying to make this harder)

1. Question: Is this design going on front or back?

2. Suggestion: If the design will be on front, say on the upper corner (right or left), could we put writing on the back to say: "DIS Board Gang" then underneath it, our username?

3. Suggestion: If the design will on the back, I'm thinking it would be large, (that could cost more, which we probably don't want to do) and then writing on the front.

4. After that being said, I think I like my #2 suggestion....Anyone else would like to suggest...I'm open to anything...what ever anybody else wants, it's grandy to me!!

5. Last, but not least....OUR SIZES: DH(John) size: Adult XLarge; DW(Julia) size: Adult Medium; DS(Jeff) size: Adult Large; DD(Jessica) size: Adult Small; DD(Jenna) size: Adult Small

About Willie's family, maybe Lampy can call them on cell, just to be sure that we have the right sizes for them. Lampy? what do you think?

Julia- I agree that it would be neat to have everyone's name on a shirt. The problem is that it increases the cost. I don't know how they make t-shirts, but I guess somebody has to create whatever they need to screen the design on the shirt. If the same design is going on every shirt, they just do all the shirts and they are done. If different names are going on different shirts, someone has to physically do this for each individual shirt. The t-shirt guy wasn't able to give me a solid quote because there are too many variables. I would like to keep this as simple and inexpensive as possible, so I would like not to have to deal with putting names or more than one design on the shirts. I hope everybody understands. They will still be great shirts and everybody should get one!

As far as names, how about some kind of name tag, like us Disney Store Cast members wear. They would be neat for at least the first meeting and the cruise meets. It is always so hard to remember names.

I'll take 2 XL's and my DW will take 2-2xl's, I'll let my DD order her own.

(1) 4 childs

There are only 4 of us... I am being really optimistic about weight loss, but still need a backup, LOL!
