Hi everybody...been out of the loop a while with fall school activities for the young'ins...
To anyone w/ a shy child...my DD ~ 9.5 is absolutely NOT, and also has never met a stranger...she'll take anybody under her wing as she's sooooo experienced w/ DC...this being her big 2nd cruise and all!! :rotfl2:

Hey how exactly are we going to get all these kids together for a meet? IVE never even been to one before! How'd all you Turkey Cruisers do it before??

Laurie :Pinkbounc

:badpc:

Okay, this is getting crazy...how come some of you guys see my pictures but the others, such as Willie and Lampy, don't see it...uh ha! They're just having trouble seeing. :rotfl: Anyway, Lampy I'll do my best, but it sounds like Willie does the similar steps as you gave me....I'll try....but wait a minute, didn't we send you a scrapbook through Ophoto (Kodak) right after got back from last years cruise....do you remember?? :scratchin

Oh and Lampy....is there any place you don't have Miller in your hands? I hope you don't sleep with it, your DW would get jeolous.

Julia ::MinnieMo

Julia, no need to sleep with the can......just hook up the IV and cathiter :rotfl2:

Laurie, our "Dis meet" was deck 10 by the terminal side....by the porta bar... :drinking1 As far as the kids meeting.....I think there is no better place than CC on Sunday......we should have enough for a BIG voyeyball game....as long as Doogie doesn't wear his "speedo" with chips stuffed in them....

Hi Laura
It all started for us...
My family was wearing our lime green DIS shirts that i had one of my vendors make(he closed his business or i would have made all again this year)
Any way. this mouth comes up behind us and says "5 J's"!
Do you want to take a guess?...It was Limppy, ah sorry, ...Lammpy!

Not to be outdone, between us two...we were the loudest in line as i remember. From there you go to Port side top deck and see the other Lime Green Shirts...Then it becomes a sail away party for all, the parents say to the kids: "here, meet some kids your age" then you order a "froofy drink with an umbrella". And you will forget you have kids, because you are now ON VACATION!!
:dancer:
These DIS sites helps to get everybody together and you feel like you know everybody eventhough you just met them in person! That is why there are several returning Turkeys back on this boat! Trust me by the end of the cruise you will book Eastern Christmas along with Lamps.
Hey Lamps...what about the "girlfriend? can ya get us a deal?

John :earboy2:

Just popping in here to let everyone know we're still here, and that this cruise vacation can't get here fast enough!

Our family has been running at full speed with school, after-school activities, elderly parents (I know they can't help it, God bless them) and work exhaustion.

I have to confess, we're still trying to post pictures, (I know how to do it for ebay!) but might have to get DH's computer genius friend over here soon to help us.

So, from what I gather, we're going to wear lime green shirts? Maybe I should go back a few pages further and read every post the past week. I've missed it here! :earsgirl:

:wave2:
Hello, Mickeyhugger,

I'm thinking the Triple D Circle?...is ordering shirts but can't remember what color or style it is. Too many post to go back...

we're from the Chicago area also. Have you reserved your flight yet? I bought our tix back in January and it seems they are going pretty high.

We're also staying at the Radisson on Friday night.

Kris

Kris:
We got our flight in March on American. I think it was around $212pp, I have checked rates occasionally. The fares have not been that low since. What rate did you get, and when do you get into PC? Where you from in Chicagoland? Sounds like Lampy is a southside orginally, so he probably cheers for the wrong baseball club.

Seems like several of our group will be at the Radisson on Friday night... maybe we should plan a pre-cruise meet?

We'll be there... we get into MCO about 12:30ish... we got our tickets "right" when they went on sale :cool1: I paid about $700 for the 4 of us... checking prices now it is over $2K... :cool1: ... we are leaving on the day we come back so that, I'm sure, is why the high cost!

I am sorry that we do not yet have a proposed design to look at for our t-shirts. I spoke to the t-shirt artist (who ever heard of such a thing?). Twice this week, and he promised to have somthing to me next week. Once we agree on the design, and everyone lets me know how many and what sizes they want, the shirts will be done in a day or two, so we still have plenty of time. I will stay on top of this, and will post the design here for you all to look at as soon as I have it. Have a great weekend everyone!

We'll be arriving on Thursday and will be staying at the DVC resort Wilderness Villas.

Anyone else staying there???

We are also leaving on Saturday when the ship arrives in port.

Ken :wave2: pirate:

A big thank you to heart for recommending the Passporter's Guide... it arrived Wednesday and I have read it cover to cover and it has many sticky notes! I think I am becoming a little obsessed already. I did a little happy dance today when I read in the book that our room sleeps 4, which is great news because I thought it only slept 3 and that my youngest would be on the floor or sleeping with grandma and grandpa -- neither of those options was ideal.

Thank you also to Ken for your help with the online excursions booking, you were exactly right.

I booked the Getaway package on Castaway Cay and it was only available online for the first day at CC. I called Disney and they said that because we stop there twice, it's a 2 for 1 deal.. you get the package on both days but only pay once. WOW!!! :cool1:

Mickeyhugger -- we are also staying at the Orlando Airport Hyatt the night before the cruise, maybe we'll see you there!

Does anyone else have boys around 4 or 6 years old? I am hopeful that my shy little guys will meet some buddies!

Tana, I "think" you might have more luck than I... but our group is full of DDs 10, 11, 12... my DS will have just turned 8 and there is narry a playmate around!!... I think there are some younger boys tho!

I do have a DD who will be a few weeks shy of 10... but I also don't want her to be fully occupied and abandoning little DS as they are the best of buds! :confused3

Sherri :wave2:

Tana-Our DS will be turning 6 on 10/15. He is very friendly. Last year he spent most of his time involved in the activities at the OC--He loved the cruise and cannot wait to go back!!!!
