The 10 day Christmas 2006 will hit the following ports-(Dec 16-26)

Sat- Port Canaveral
Sun-Key West
Mon-at sea
Tues-at sea
Wed-St. Maarten
Thurs-St. Lucia
Fri-Antigua
Sat-St.Thomas/St.John
Sun-At sea
Mon-Castaway Cay
Tues- Port Canaveral

I would like it better if it visited CC twice, instead of Key West. But there are alot of ports on the list we would like to visit!
We are really trying to work out the details so that we can book it while onboard. Just don't know yet.

Willie

Hey guys, just sitting here argueing with ins. companies about the "lens" for my cataract surgery. I guess focusable lenses aren't covered and if I pay the next available date is Oct. 14th...and they are telling me no salt water for 8 weeks..........

Lampy,

do you know if there is a DIS thread yet for the 10 day Christmas?

W

As a matter of fact there is......I haven't posted in it for a few weeks..........

Question for all of ya????????

Why does Goofy stand erect while pluto remains on all fours..... if they are both dogs? :rotfl2:

Lampskies-That Christmas itinerary sounds mighty tempting. We so enjoyed St Thomas and St Maarten this past December.I told dh we are deciding before we get onboard when we will be back in 2006.

Maria

OK, Lampy, I will bite. Why does Goofy stand erect? And not Pluto.

Then I have one for you.

Why does Tigger have to bathe so often?

Well I finally finished our excursions and spa treatments,

I have booked the:
CC seahorse catamaran snorkel adventure for Sunday @ 9:15am

Palos brunch for Monday @ 11:00am
Palos dinner for Monday @ 8:30pm

Grand Cayman nativeway tour with the group for Tuesday

Cozumel Fury cruise for Wednesday @ 12:30pm

Spa treatment on Thursday @ 1:00pm

CC bottom fishing on Friday @ 9:15am

Boy DCL sure makes it easy to spend our money but it is a vacation.

I know we have some other DIS cruises that have some of the same excursions.

Kennyk

Hi Kenny -

I also booked Palo last night.

I was going to book Palo dinner on Tuesday, but then realized that is my dd's 19th birthday so wanted to do a family dinner on that day.

So I booked Palo dinner for Sunday at 8:30.

Couldn't decided between brunch and high tea, and ended up choosing high tea for Monday at 3PM.

About 2 hours later I decided to go back to try to add a Palo brunch and they are not taking any more ressies for Palo. I suppose there will be some openings when we get on the boat, but I was amazed that these booked up so quickly. I was really glad I got on there when I did and snagged the Palo dinner.

My dh really wanted to do that last time, but we were only a a 4-day cruise which ended up being a 3-day so we would have missed one of the restaurants. We're really looking forward to the Palo dinner this time.

Has anyone done High Tea? Wondering what it is like!

Also, just one more question about Capt. Marvin's excursion to stingray city. On the website it mentions that they also make a snorkeling stop. For those of us that are not strong swimmers -- can we use flotation jackets? How long is the stop for snorkeling in case we decide to wait on the boat? Just wondering before we book.

Thanks again!
Kris

Kris (Zeke11)
--Re Captain Marvin's--when we were there in March of 2004 the snorkeling stop didn't seem too long (probably because I was IN the water), maybe 30 minutes. My DH and DS 4 stayed on the boat. I THINK my DS10 used a flotation device in the water, but I don't remember for sure.
Haven't done High Tea at Palo--

Anyone--
--Do you think there's any chance Disney will have the Harry Potter movie (opens November 18th) on board? It's not a Disney movie, so I'm thinking, "no," but my daughter is OBSESSED. (Like she hasn't read the book 15 times already... )
--Does anyone know the name of the entertainer (the one who does the smaller shows in Diversions--usually a juggler/magician/comedian type) scheduled for our cruise. I remember folks mentioning it a while back, but of course I didn't write it down.

Thanks!

Kris,
You will all have inflatable life vests on to snorkel. You can inflate/deflate them to your desired level. They have a tube that you blow into to blow them up. Then you can release air if you want to swim down to the bottom to tickle the Moray eel.

Hi everyone from soggy South Florida!! We are waiting for Katrina to arrive this evening. Everything is closed in Broward County, it seems, except for our office. There has not been a direct hit on broward county since the day our DS was born (10/15/99). That storm (hurricane Irene) was similar to the present storm--category 1 and lots of rain. On tv last night it showed the storm passing Abaco (sp) in the bahamas--where Castaway Cay is located. I hope that everyone is ok there!!

I guess Lampy must be passed out somewhere in IA. No posts since he asked his joke question. I have asked DD Erin(Queen of Jokes) and she did not know why Goofy walks erect while Pluto is on all fours. But, she says she wants to know the answer.

Anyone know why Tigger has to bathe so often???????

Answer- Because he is always playing with Pooh.....

CM told that one at bingo onboard last year.

Hey, wait! Lampy may be getting his cataract surgery done. Now I feel bad about making a joke about him being passed out.(Not really) :rotfl2:
I wonder how much anesthesia it takes to knock him out?

Icefamily- good luck with the hurricane! Stay high and dry!

Hi Everyone!! Been out of the loop for a while due to being SHANGHAI-ED to Costa Rica by my DH!! He surprised, no FLOORED me w/ this totally unexpected trip! And I don't like surprises!! I had no idea where we were going...he just showed up at my work, said let's go, your boss knows, it's all taken care of, & we've got a plane to catch out of the country...Happy Birthday!

With only 15 hrs. notice to prep & pack, I couldn't help but feel BAMBOOZLED!!!! First thing I thought of was: OMG! If we're in a different country, HOW AM I GOING TO BOOK MY OPTIONS ON THE DIS CRUISE???!!! DH assured me we'd find an Internet Cafe' or have our best friends from S. FL. (who are cruising w/ us) book the plans for us.
Whew! OK. Kids are at neighbors, pets will be fed, we arrive at the Int'l. concourse @ Atl. airport, and who springs yet another surprise on me??? Our best friends from S. FL.!!! They're joining us to Costa Rica!! :Pinkbounc Woo Hoo!! I was thrilled to say the least! From the looks of the other passengers sitting around us, I'd say my scream of delight frightened them all!!

After finally making our way down to Tamarindo, we settled in for some nice local fare & much needed Coronas! We spent the next 2 days sportfishing...hoping for a billfish, but getting lots of Tuna & Wahoo (got Wasabi??) & even a big Rooster Fish! Gotta love hour-fresh Sushi!!

Well, we couldn't even bribe the local Internet Cafe's to stay open till 10pm C.R. time (12:00 am DCL time- I thought) but managed to bum a link from a local hotel. We finally all got our ressies done, but it was the next a.m., before we got on the boat. Whew!
What a trip! :love2: I have to say my DH is the only person on earth to ever truly surprise me!

Reading everyone else's postings really gets us all jazzed again!!! But I've lost count...How many more days???

Missin' the Margueritas & Mariachi's!!

Hello All- I just spoke with the artist at the local t-shirt shop about designing a t-shirt for our cruise. He will try to have a proposed design to me by some time next week. I have used this guy before, and I think he will come up with something good. He is going to send the design to me in a j-peg file, so I can hopefully post it for you all to look at and critique. What I asked him to incorporate in the design is: Thanksgiving Magic Cruise; Grand Cayman, Cozumel, Castaway Cay; November 19-26, 2005. I asked him to include a cruise ship in a tropical locale (hopefully it will look like the Magic). These shirts will be screened on Anvil brand 100% cotton shirts, the color is Key Lime, with Royal Blue ink. Our cost will be $6.50 per shirt (assuming we order more than 50) plus 7% sales tax. I will ship them to any of you who want them in advance for whatever the actual cost of shipping is, or will bring them with me and pass them out at the port or on the ship.
Once we get the design settled, I would encourage you all to think about getting a shirt. They will make it easy for us to spot each other at the sail away party. Also, you can wear them as cover-ups on Castaway Cay, and we will be able to find each other there, too. I'll post the proposed design as soon as I have it.

Nope not passed out :cool1: just busy.....DDs started school last Thursday been running to different docs. to get this lens in my eye fitted.....CRAZY!!!! Hey southwest has a special 69.00 from Indy going on....gotta check the dates....

Hi everyone!! It feels good to be online again!! Thanks to Hurricane Katrina we were without power from 6:30pm thursday until 1:30 am today. I am a big fan of Thomas Edison!! Overall we were very lucky--most of the damage was limited to trees and power lines being knocked down. The storm is next expected to hit the panhandle. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone else that may be in Katrina's path!!

Chuck and Lisa

Chuck and Lisa - so glad to hear that all is well and no real damage ..been thinking of you.

5'Oclock (Laurie) - your DH has scored some serious points in my book :teeth: WTG- not one surprise but 2 and to get it all worked out - kids and pets, work, etc - "WHAT A GUY" !!!

Tri-circle-D - can't wait to see the t-shirt design - seems like an order for 50 should be pretty easy. Any chance they do "buttons" too??

Hey southwest has a special 69.00 from Indy going on....gotta check the dates....
Lampskies - such a deal .... did you get in on it??
