Hey, anybody heard from Silver7 lately? Teresa? You still around? :confused3

Well, I'm not Teresa, but I can tell you that she has been very busy booking all those magical trips for folks. :wizard: She called me a few days ago and said she has even started booking cruises now....WOW! You go Turkey Travel Agent!!!

I know she and the family were able to get to WDW in March for a few days and was great to share the trip with me over the phone...it was before I headed to Virginia and really appreciated the calls from the world as a stress relief.

Hey, Willie, what have you heard about that Texas legisglature thing Teresa was telling me about...something that could affect the ability to take the kids out of school??

Doogie...we were at Sam's the other day and I saw your old TV program....Doogie Howser...had a laugh and remembered ya'll from the cruise. I read your post that you are headed to WDW in June...when? We just booked a short trip at OKW for June 1 - 6...gotta love those DVC points...I know ya'll do up your way. This is our first year...we bought ours while onboard at Thanksgiving.

Hey, Lampy...have a great time at Cedar Point...we all love the Millenium Force...the Rolls Royce of coasters IMHO. Where in Kentucky will Kim and the girls be headed? We are an hour away from the big town of Paducah.

ohMom, you got yourself a perfect pair of party shoes there...saw some clear heels...think beauty queen...only these light up...were at Wally world for under 20 bucks....oooooooh!

Well, ya'll have a great rest of the week....I've been enjoying reading all of your posts...Lampy's are worth a bucket of beers at least....

Take care!

Hey yall, long time no chat!!

It is Robotics season here, and Ds17's team is on a major winning streak, they have won two regionals, the top award above that which honors what the judges think is the perfect robotics team, and the best mentor award. We are going to Nationals in two weeks. If you get the Nasa Channel, they will be on April 21-22-23. They are team 118, and their Robot is Chainzilla. DS is the mascot, and is having a ball.

DS12 volunteered to be a field resetter for the Lone Star Regional, and I volunteered to be his back up in case he had a baseball game (the schedules were not out then). Well we go to orientation, and that was fine. We show up the next morning and the main field manager tells me "on finals day, you are in charge of the field  DS had a double header so I was going to have to be there anyway, but YIKES!! Nothing fell off the robots that day, and everything was fine. Not like the day before when two robots caught fire and things fell off of them. . . like a wrench and a brass duck :rotfl:

Baseball season has started here, and silly me is on the board again, so I am busy with that.

Willie I just read that the Senate threw out the part of the bill that had school starting after labor day--whew!

talk to yall soon :wave2:

Willie-Chuck and I are thinking about the afternoon Fury again in Cozumel. We enjoyed the trip last year!! Are you going to try parasailing this year at CC???

What other excursions are ya'all thinking about?

Lisa

Lisa, I think Kelli is going to Parasail again this year, and maybe Hayley's friend Haylee. But as for me..... lets just say that I prefer to guard the hammock at the DIS corner on CC!
Actually, I want to do it, but I just have a hard time getting up outta that chair once I am on the beach. I will do the snorkel circuit around the cove, tho. May get to see Doogie get pounded for chips in a speedo this year. Gotta save some underwater film for that! (Doog, buddy, man to man, I gotta remind you how COLD that water is at CC, if you get my drift...)

Willie, you and family heading down to WDW this summer on points? We booked at SSR, no BWV available.

We used up this years points on last years cruise! So no WDW for us til 2006.

We are going over early before the cruise and staying two nites at Hard Rock Hotel and doing IOA and US on Friday.

This summer I will have my two nephews and niece staying with us, ages 14,12,4. So we probably won't travel much. My kid brother is in Iraq. They live with their Mom in Corpus Christi, TX. Found out last years, it is hard to travel with 5 kids ages 4-15!

We are going to San Antonio Memorial weekend at Westin La Cantera Resort.

And DW Kelli's brother called yesterday, he is getting married in Cancun in September. So we will be taking a mini-trip to the Cancun Hilton for a long weekend. Anybody ever been to it?

Oh yeah, and I will be traveling to Vegas This month, April 23rd with some buddies for a guy trip. Lampy, Kim can send you to join us for your birthday present!

Whew. I did not think I was doing much this year, but when you put it in writing, it is some traveling!

Hey Teresa! I wondered where you had been!

Yeah, Like Lampy has a "girlfriend" at DCL, mine is involved in state politics. I had been hearing that the school part was dead on arrival. Too many school districts want to be able to set their own schedule. One year, our district only took 3 days at Thanksgiving, and the attendance was so low, it was a waste of time. Plus, they get funding by how many fannies are in the seats. So it makes sense to just take the whole week off.

Tell David that I wish him the best of luck with Chainzilla!
We are trying to plot Hayleys high school (9th grade)schedule for next year. Sheesh, it is hard to plan with sports involved. She needs to be in as many advance placement classes as she can handle. but at the same time, don't want to overload her while trying to play volleyball, basketball and soccer!

Willie

Bfosbenner, water here is only 48 degrees no skiing for me for AT LEAST another month....I'll just drive and spot.
Momsgoofy, Kim goes once a year to another "Six Flags" with the kids and one of her friends. Last year ws ohio and the year before was St. Louis. She gets season passes for the six flags in Illinois and goes about 10 time a year. Me, I HATE people....so why would I stand in a hot line (with no miller lite) for two hours to go on a 30 second ride :rotfl2: I believe there is a six flags around Louisville that they are planning on going to.
:rotfl2: @ Willie....Is Doogie still saying the water was cold? :rotfl2: Kim wants to parasail....and Willie, about you not getting out of the beach chair once you sat down....well that's not the COMPLETE truth is it? I saw you on the bar stool also..... :rotfl2: Kim is doing a "girls" weekend in vegas I believe around May 12th. There are two groups of 6 going from Thursday 'till Monday.

Have you all seen that there are MANY cabins left for the repo sailing in MAY? A cheep cat. 12 is 4000.00 for 2 adults....althought I couldn't give up my verandah for 2 weeks it seems cheap.....I wonder what my bar bill would be like for 2 weeks :rotfl2:

:rotfl2: @ Doogie..........watr was o.k. once you passed that "critical zone". :smooth:

good friday morning fellow turkey day cruisers! :teeth:

i see we've hit over 1,000 posts -- is that cause for celebration?

scorpio -- ok now don't think i'm a hopeless loser who sits on the disboards all day waiting for the opportunity to play with my new digital camera and show off my bargains all in one. (and no i'm not in denial :rotfl: ) my oldest DD, Taylor, held the shoes for me and just :rolleyes2 -- she would stamp the big "L" on my forehead :rolleyes1 but she's a tweenager.

teresa -- i believe that's the same robot program that my brother has helped with -- are the finals at WDW? the same brother that has decided NOT to cruise with us :confused3

any Disney VISA users in this bunch? we're trying to decide if there is value to paying off the balance early to possibly get double rewards? they are so stingy with the double rewards though. I've even thought about pre-paying some onboard credit to our account to get the reward dollars for it.

enjoy your friday!
Molli

Happy Friday all!!! It's going to be a beautiful weekend in N.W. Indiana :cool1: I think I'm leaving early today......

 Hello Thanksgiving cruisers!

Well, I'm doing the Happy Dance again! :dancer:

Looks as if DH, DD (who'll be 11 by then) and I are back on for the Thanksgiving cruise!

We were originally booked, had to cancel (DH"s work plans changed), but learned yesterday that he most likely (not 100% positive, 99% though) will be able to get the time off after all. :cool1:

We still won't know until later next week, but I went ahead and rebooked (lesson hard learned, I shouldn't have cancelled the first time, as we're paying more $$ :scared1: :faint: now. We also lost our room, and now have a GTY.) But we're so excited, we figured we'll somehow makeup for it! In the words of my sweetheart DH  'I'm willing to pay for a great vacation. (He also doesn't like the fact that we won't have another vacation until next summer, and we better jump on this while there's still time!) :bounce: :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Now, I hope I'm not posting another cancellation notice again (I really don't think so though, at this point.) I was so excited, I could hardly sleep last night! :cheer2: I just wanted to let everyone know, as the enthusiasm on this Thanksgiving thread is contagious! Yippee!!! :jumping1:

Yee Haw Mickeyhugger! Welcome back aboard!

Y'all have a great weekend.

Willie

WOW More DIS People joining the cruise.
Mickeyhugger welcome back

Well i've been stuck inside today on the phone, and looking out the window!
Finaly my last business call is done and a decent week to go along with it.
So it's off with the "top"( the car, not me, i would get arrested if i took my shirt off) :goodvibes
Since you guys don't "drive" your Vettes, i'll be sure to lose some more tread for you all.

Silver, Lampy needs a robot to swim across the lake and grab him a cold one out of the "pop" machine. Can DS make him one? Then i need one to kick my son's rear end to do his schoolwork

See ya :earboy2:
Vroom vroom, screech, vroom, screech, vroom, vroom, vroom!

Now you're talking John!!! Robot :rotfl2: 10 more mins. and I am outta here!!!!!! CAR SALESMEN ARE IDIOTS!!!!!!!! O.K. I feel better :rotfl2:

ohMom: Never I just LOVED the fact that you posted them - honestly I was not making fun! I thought it was excellent!!! Just adds to the excitement !

OK... does anyone else have a cat that insists on standing right in front of the screen while you are trying to type... let alone walking on the keyboad as well!!!! I love him to death but he drives me nuts! :earseek:

Hey - you guys are really chatterers here! It's ohMom's-DM-Bev, here. Molli said I better "come on over" and get caught up ..............

5J's - sorry to hear you had to travel back to OH for good weather - but it looks like we may get 3 days in a row this weekend! DH (Dan) is just out the door for a run - he's still trying to decide if The PIG is calling his name! (marathon in Cincy)

WOW I saw the shoes, even......... M & I are off shopping in a couple of weeks, bet we will on the lookout for an outfit to wear with 'em :goodvibes Stay tuned to see if it is a great bargain too! I am wondering though if it "cost" Molli - Disney dollars to get her older DD to hold those shoes for the pix ? :rotfl:
Buddy Bear
BTW...we are staying at the Radisson the night before and I just rented a minivan from Budget for $44.05. We got this great rate because we are Sam's Club members. I have AAA, but was surprised to find out that Budget discounts Sam's Club members.
B Bear - did you call Budget and ask about the Sam's discount - I looked on line and don't see any where to even put in discount for quote. I had been checking them out and now I must get serious - thanks for the tip! Yes- my DD got the bargain "gene" from me :earboy2:

teresa -- i believe that's the same robot program that my brother has helped with -- are the finals at WDW? the same brother that has decided NOT to cruise with us
Is the robotic program - FIRST ? Oh shoot, we don't get NASA- they are great to watch - I was thinking the finals were moved from WDW a couple of years ago but that is where DS took the teams he helped coach and they had a great time!

And, Dan perked up a bit when he saw that sailing days included poker and possibly a Texas holdem tourney!

Suns coming up - yep, we are those early risers Molli mentioned - gotta get on with the day. 5j's - if the vet drives north - wave as you pass the Wagoner Ford exit :teeth:

Earlier post - I ask more info on the Budget car rental - well - I am having trouble getting psyched for my walk this morning and so I just called Budget told them I had Sam's Club membership and they quoted me $29.82 for full size car - pick up MCO and drop off Cape C. That rate certainly is cheaper than anything else I had found.

WOOHOO - what a deal!!!!!

THANK U - for that great tip!

okay - no more procrastination - off to get on the walking shoes but I will be smiling about my deal at least :wave2:

Hey Grammy......welcome back to the thread....be careful, John drives a Ford, the thinks us "vette" guys are "pretty boys", and that has nothing to do with me in a tutu! :rotfl2: Ohmom has a thread going about Texas Holdem'. One of those afternoon sea days in Diversions or on deck 10 would be great!!! Don't know if I can get the case onboard....that's just asking to have luggage searched....

How many "Holdem'" people do we have here....maybe we can make it a tourney......
