OK now!!

I've been here reading all this bantering back and forth between the Turkey-"Hawks" 04, my name for this group, I just chuckle, :rotfl2:

But I am confused. :confused3 Not being on the Turkey 04 cruise and not meeting you all, I have a question for Lampy,

I take it he works for a auto dealer :moped: or something like that, but in his bio that's posted on the web and also the spread sheet he is listed by himself,

No kids, or spouse. SO WHO IS KIM :bride: ??? :confused3 and if it wasn't her bxx then who's was it. :confused3

Lampy, if you're leading us into a soap story, you have to continue with the episodes. That's only fair.

I must say, though there is a really big difference between the Easter Bunnies and the Turkey Hawks. Even though we had a blast together on the ship we were more laid back. :cloud9: It sounds like you guys and gals were the life of the party  :cool1: and the ship is still recovering. Ha!! Ha!! :rotfl2:

I'll try to keep up with episode and of course we can't miss a day as we'll miss the juicy stuff.

Hey Lamps
Who could get board with stories like yours
You remind us of the things we talk about but can't do b/c of our age or .......

It Does amaze me that Kim would even ride with you.
I can't get Julia in the Cobra w/me without alot of coaxing.
She does not like that i only use 1st, 2nd, and 6th.
It was cold yesterday, car was sliding sideways while pulling out of a street. Traction Control Button was off. I might of scared the driver coming toward me, but, 2nd gear w/ supercharger.....no worries, mate!

Roadtrip---- let's do the Mid Ohio Driving school! DW's can stay in Columbus for the weekend. You can use their car or yours. I have said it before. You Vette people only want to look good in the car. But that engine was meant to be driven! Unless you know that Chevey does not build a racing engine as good as Ford! Then just keep that speedo down to 55mph!

At this time we do not know what to do in the summer. Use year renewed for us yesterday(DVC)

if you DW's are coming to Columbus I can be in charge of planning a spa day for us!!!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

kenny -- you reminded me -- we started with get-to-know each other kind of questions once and then it dropped. want to restart it? i would love to since i am neither a bunny or a turkey -- what does that make me? princess:!! :boat:

i have gathered bits and pieces myself, but tell me what you do for fun?

I love to scrapbook. I also enjoy movies, board games, reading fiction, and of course :disrocks:

Okay, here I am again...lurking and roflol about Lampskies and his stories...which by the way I'll give ya a big AMEN!! Brother! If those kids of ours only knew half of what we did as youngsters we'd be in for...as my dear ol' momma used to say...the beating of your life...One of my sisters (the other wild child in the family and the only one with boys besides me) and I always told our boys yeah, go ahead give it your best, but there ain't much your momma and your aunt have done that you can think of.

I know, you fellow 2004 Turkeys are saying, "What, but momsgoofy is so quiet and reserved from what we saw on the cruise"...well, kinda like John said, I've mellowed for the sake of being a parent and having to set those good examples for the youngin'. Ya'll know how that goes...

Well I hope all are having a good week...mine is crazy which seems to be normal for me anymore with my sister's health and problems and my dad's health...stubborn ol' goat! Though the pixie dust did find me and we now have a DSL connection...so I'm gonna try to upload those photos from the 2004 Turkey Cruise...I'll post if I succeed. I'm still so new with the digital stuff.

For now, take care and thanks for the laughs guys!

KennyK,

Don't let the bantering scare you off. It almost did me whin I joined the thread last year. I thought.. no way but we all had a great time. I'm not an all day drinker. I like to have my few brews, get happy :teeth: then fall asleep. Lampy is a kitten... an inebriated and very fun cat :cool1: . Actually I think if blood was to enter his alcohol stream he might not be much fun!! LOL He's kind of like Casper the Friendly Ghost, we wouldn't know where he was and he'd just sort of appear... on stage (Chosen @ 80's night to be Bon-Jovi) , from the elevator or in the hall and yes, Kim was often by his side smiling in tolerance :).

As far as profiles. I'm not sure what I do... I work with everything you don't see when you click "sumbit" on the internet (security, hardware, integration, databases, application servers). My wife is a school teacher. We're DVC... (best thing we've ever done). We purchased our dream home a year ago, two kids, dog... I LOVE MY VACATIONS WITH MY FAMILY (and other DISers).
I'm a runner, ex-bike racer, love to fish. Hero - Lance. President of our local Figure Skating Club as my DD is into that ($$ :guilty:) . DS loves fishing and football.

Doug

Next???

This is great thanks so I'll go next even though some of this is a repeat.

Well I'm 55, have three wonderful children (daughter and 2 sons) have two grandkids and another on the way. Yeppe!!!, Two live with us and one lives in Georgia.

I work three jobs, my main 40 + hrs is a service manager/and run a two-way radio repair shop for an absentee owner who I've known for 30+ yrs. I am also an assitant engineer for an AC radio station here on the Island, and my favorite job is working for the local Disney Store.

I have a Dalmation which I adore. We also have a cat. My grandson, that lives with us goes to a private school and is in the 7th grade. My daughter works for a system intergrator which manufactures those bar code scanners. She is a system programmer. (they will be joining us on our cruise. One of my sons is a computer desk side support specialist. Quite good at what he does.

My darling wife is a configuration data manager for a Military electronics supplier. She also sells used books on ebay and amazon.

Well that's the family. WE love Disney, we also are DVC owners since 2001 and own at VWL and recently added on at SSR.

We've lived overseas for three years back in the late seventies (Iran- millitary contract).

Besides the DIS board as a hobby, I really haven't had much time for any other hobbies persay. I consider my Disney job and my radio station more of a hobby than work. I'm not really into sports but do support the local independent baseball team with partial season tickets.

My goal in life I guess is of course retire, move to Florida and work for the Mouse down there.

So whose next.

This is fun

Allright KennyK......you caught me....7 nights and all the 04 Turkey cruisers didn't figure it out....Actually, I hate disney, I hate "the mouse" and I hate DCL.....I just found these boards and joined because I wanted "Willie" to adopt me. I have a problem.......I always wanted to be a "Miller".....There is no "Kim", there is no "Jessica" and there is no "Alli". I have picture frames on my desk at work that I baught from K-Mart and I never took out the people in them.......I wanted soooooo bad to be a "Miller" I paid some "street people" from Chicago to go with me to make me "look like" the "perfect family"....yes Doogie you too must be on to me.....she did look a little "too tolarant"....didn't she?? LOL LOL LOL

LOLOLOLOLOLOLO!!!!! O.K. Back to reality......John, Kim and I have only drove in the "Vette" twice.....together.....actually Jessica has only been in once....but "Big Al" she loves it! I took it out today to get Alli at school....YES DOOGIE I TOOK IT OUT...........My neighbor...a car NUT said "what the he!# are you doing taking that out? There still might be salt on the ground!!!!!

LOL Lampy!!

Took the Vette out? I bakced mine out in the driveway a few weeks ago so the tires wouldn't flat spot, let it idle for 30 min, then pulled it back into the garage. DW loves to ride in it, hates to drive it. That Z06 tranny doesn't shift as easy as her tank (Expedition). I rode with her once and it drove me nuts, she never got out of 2nd gear.

Supposed to be low 50's here today and tomorrow.

LAMPS- are you the anti- MICKEY
I don't believe you, say it ain't so ...Ron
I think another trip to Disney is needed for you to be converted!

Show me someone who has a Vette....And i will show you someone who can't drive a car! When the groundhogs are out playing in the fields in 6 weeks, i want to hear about how you and Doug red line those babies! Most Vette owners i know say......"Gee, i could of had a Porche(there is no substitute)"
This is why i leased my Cobra....so i can beat it!(i can also write it off).
Drive those things, salt won't hurt it, IT"S PLASTIC!!! :rotfl2:

Tomorrow, can everyone say happy birthday to Julia! :bday:

Happy Birthday Julia!

Remember, it is not the years, only the mileage that counts with car people!

I have just been catching up on my DIS readings. I was in Austin for a couple of days for work. You are killing me Lamp. Yes, you are now my adopted son. I name you Ron Bon Miller. Your nickname will be "Les", as in "Les Fillin". , Son of "Tase Grate"

I did suspect you were with a bunch of actors pretending to be your family....They were all much too pretty to be yours! LOL

I was in Austin doing "media training" yesterday. It helps me for the times when a local reporter wants to interview an agent about insurance issues. They filmed us, so that we could see how we came across on TV. Now, I have been on local TV a few times and did OK. But you don't know how country you sound till it is pointed out (by a Yankee instructor) that you said THANG instead of THING eleven times!!! I probably drove ya'll nuts with my hillbilly language!

On Thanksgiving 2005, there will be a cowboy in the caribbean jungle!

Willie

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JULIA!!!! princess: Enjoy your special day and every day!!

Well...We are leaving for the snow in Colorado this sunday for a week. Chuck is very excited--his passion is skiing and my passion is Disney!! However, Chuck does share my passion for Disney--we got married at the Wedding Pavillion at WDW and had our reception at the Grand Floridian. Also, it was his idea to rebook while we were on the cruise last November!!

We will check in again when we defrost!! Take Care!!

hey i'm feeling a bit cheesy - i listed my fun things to do and you all gave long profiles -- i feel left out so here goes

i'm the disney fan in our family - though my youngest, Paige, is whole-heartedly in with me. I have noticed two similarities among us already -- dog people and computer geeks! My DH, Preston, works in IS, i'm not really sure anymore what he does since his dept was outsourced :sad2: but thankfully he was offered a position and stayed. He works for The Scotts Company, you know, miracle-gro; grass seed, fertilizer, etc. hard to believe such a mega-international company started here in smalltown ohio. I'm a SAHM, have been since we moved here 7 years ago; and love it. Someday I may go back part-time but who knows, right now i keep busy with a task force i'm on that runs a local personal needs pantry, and more importantly being around for my DDs.

I would LOVE to buy DVC; but my hubby isn't there with me, financially it doesn't click for him. i challenge you all to educate him

we have two dogs, a 3 year old beagle/dachshund mix we rescued from the shelter; and a month ago our oldest DD, Taylor; bought a minature wirehaired dachshund to show in Conformation and Earth Dog in AKC. She starts his training tonight. i hope the first item on the syllabus is house training! :rolleyes1

and of course, HAPPY BIRTHDAY JULIA!!!
pooh-rig.gif

Happy Birthday Dear Julia!!

Didja get your birthday spankin? :rotfl:

OHMOM--We have the worlds largest dachshunds--a rescued show doxie that the people bought him to show, got a divorce, did not want to mess with him and took him to the pound. Before the breeder found out, he was fixed and no longer showable. He is 45 pounds--a mini bassett!!

Our other doxie is from a show litter, but is only 35 pounds.

Their names are (can you believe this?)
Cosmonaut and Astronaut
aka
Cosmo and Astro

Ahhhhhhh yes Willie, I did a commercial a couple of years ago.....mostly for bad credit people and the adds ran midnight and after.....I can't tell you how many phone calls I recieved at midnight from neighbors laughing histerically!!!!

O.K. KennyK and the rest of you non Turkey day sailors.....here is about the one and only time you will see me serious......Me, Ron (39)mariied to Kim (34) for 15 1/2 years. Me, finance director at an auto dealership.....mostly sub prime.....I run a department that grosses about 3 million dollars a year and work with 4 women underwriters.....hence the reason I drink. LOL We love to travel......We have taken a Disney cruise for each of the last 4 years and have the next two years already booked.....We live in a "gated golf and boating" community (on the lake) with about 5200 people called Lakes Of The Four Seasons, between Crown Point and Valparaiso Indiana. We have 2 DDs, Jessica (15 in March) and Alli (13 in May). Dog is a Golden Retriever. We have a 30 ft travel trailer the we pull around the country from May 'till October. Last year was Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, Colorado, South Dakota, Wyoming, Montana, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. Not to mention Sandusky Ohio in May, Southern Indiana in october....then back in storage.....Hobbies....well I do have 1600+ posts here LOL and I do enjoy Miller lite.....Actually just driving around the subdivision in my golf cart or cruisin' the Vette on a warm summers day :rockband: with a cooler on the back does me just fine.....I hate being serious......Let's jam!!!!

Willie, Lampy,

Had two glasses-o-wine this evening... !@#$%^ ya'll crackin' me up LOL. :rotfl2:

Julia, happy birthday.

John, I'll take you up on that Mid-Ohio "thang" (Wille TV accent there) and show you and Lamps how to drive. The braking starts later than you think and the apex is NOT the center of the corner :). If you're not "on it" going in and coming out, "y'er" not goin' fast. (No, I don't drive like that on public streets).

Kenny, you will have a ball, trust me.

So Lampy, just how much vacation do you get a year?

Hope all is well with everyone.

Doogie........15 more mins and it's MILLER TIME!!!! I'm going to do it....I'm going to drive her to work tomorrow......Vacation? Well Wednesday is supposed to be my day off and my cell battery goes dead.....So I feel they owe me.

Happy Birthday Julia :cool1: :cheer2:

Lampy,

Thanks for the update on the profile. Now I understand some of the references. I'll just add the names to the spread sheet for the cruise unless, you're leaving them behind and bringing your three co-workers instead, :rotfl2: LOL.

I do enjoy the bantering back and forth. It keeps me up at night.

I thought I had allot of vacation time. You have me beat by a landslide.

Kennyk :cool1:
