Pam-

Isn't this board great? Ask your questions, and your new friends are here to help you out.

I see an obvious answer to your first question suggested in your third question. Sometimes it just takes a third party to look at your situation to help you solve your problems.

I'm thinking that a child could easily carry a backpack with 24 beers in it. That is such a great idea, thank you for suggesting it! :rotfl2:

Andrew (tri-circle-d)

I knew that there would be someone to read "beer" into my innocent questions!!!! By the way, my son has a rolling backpack- that's even better!!! Pam

Final Advisory for Tropical Storm was given just now on weather channel. We are going to Costa May and Grand Cayman plus we get two CC days after all!

Now,I can concentrate on my test tonight!

Have a great day!

Hey! My kids all have rolling back packs too! Thanks for the suggestion. I bet I could fit two cases in each of their back packs. :rotfl2:

They didn't think they were going on this cruise with no strings attached, did they?

Andrew (tri-circle-d)

Are we allowing them to accept cash tips? or are they working for the pleasure of going on the cruise? Pam

So either my daughter knows about this trip and is playing me, or she really doesn't know, and I'm about to pull of the surprise of her lifetime!

We're sitting at her eye appt. after school yesterday, and she announces to moe that some kid in one of her classes told the teacher that he won't be in school later in the week cuz he's going on a cruise with his parents. I ask where he's going and she tells me to Aruba and Florida. I say "oh. Sounds like it will be nice. I wish I could afford to take you on a cruise too." She says, "That's okay. One day you will." I say, "Yeah, I sure hope so. I'm sorry." I throw in a really sad look while I'm at it (I'm an actress, btw!). She's like, "I understand. It's okay. I don't have to go on a cruise somewhere." hehehe. When we get home, it gets mentioned to my Mom about this boy going on a cruise, and she plays along as well. I ask my daughter, "Well if we can go on a cruise, where would you like to go?" She says, "Cayman Islands." I say,"Wow. That would be nice, huh? Well I'll see what I can do, but I'm not making any promises." She says, "Okay." Then I come to my desk and play around with our door sign some more! :rotfl2:

Sooooooooooooo...I'm thinking that she really doesn't know about the trip, but I'm not so sure. She kept asking me to look into getting her involved in acting. If she knows and was stringing me along yesterday, I will be getting her an agent as soon as we get back from the cruise!!

BTW...I haven't even begun to pack yet! :teeth:

My DH left this morning(4:30) to California and won't get back until Thursday night...hmmmm, don't you think this was planned? I have to refer back to Grammy about MEN!
Julia ::MinnieMo

I can relate to the DH business trip thing- My DH actually told me a month ago he was flying to Atlanta on Thursday, and returning around noon on Friday!! Then we were supposed to leave at 3:30 Friday to drive to FLA. And he could not see why I was upset!!!!!!! Fortunatley, he gained his own wisdom yesterday and backed out of the trip!! (doesn't matter that when I suggested it 20 times, he insisted he HAD to go....) MEN!!
I also decided to weasel out of the job that I had accepted for Thurs and Friday (with much guilt... since i was off Mon, Tues and Wed) so now we can leave first thing Friday morning!!!!! Yah!!!!!! Probably drive all the way to the port, or at least Jacksonville Friday night :Pinkbounc Pam

Hey Ohio Molli (does that work for you?)-

Don't worry about Preston. Men never have trouble thinking about what to talk about. Football, Big TV's :rotfl2: You got those right. I'm not so sure about the Sci. Fi, but if we have a Goofy lover, we can have a Sci Fi lover. Tell him to wear his Star Trek shirt and Mr. Spock ears. We will all like that! I'm sure your DD's won't mind.

Wow! That is amazing. I don't think there is any possible way that Mrs. TCD or I could keep a secret like that for so long. I wish we could all be there when she finds out. Have you decided how and when you are going to tell her?

Oh, and not to put any pressure on you, but you do realize that the cruise is this Saturday, right? Any time you want to start packing would be good.

Andrew (tri-circle-d)

I keep getting scattered pm's with more names to be added to the flippin' list. The Who's Who of Who Really Matters on the Thanksgiving Cruise (let's hear it - YAY!).

So anyway, this is gonna be the last call -- I'll do a very final revision tonight. Anyone who is not on the Flippin' List and/or anyone who wants a change made, pm me and tonight at 10 PM the very final revision will be made.

Are we really this close? I have a continous butterfly feeling throughout my being. I am so excited and at the same time, nervous. I always get a bit nervous/scared before a big trip.

Like a lot of others, I'm off today to run errands - pick up dh's suit at the cleaners, pick up some birthday decorations for dd's birthday on the 22nd, bank, dog to get his nails clipped, blah blah blah.

So I'll talk later,
Kris ::MinnieMo

It is another beautiful day here in Florida! Blue skies, low 80's. The word is that a cold front is expected tonight or tomorrow. This will reduce the temp's to something more typical for this time of year, low's in the 50's (at night), highs in the 70's. This is what they are predicting for Saturday. The Caribbean is clearing up, the weather in Florida is looking good. Who is ready to cruise?!!!!

Kris- Sorry to rub it in since it is snowing up your way, but you will be here soon!

OH! Let me relate as well....my dd (18) asks what time we're leaving. I tell her VERRRY early on Friday and add that I want everyone to stay in on Thursday night. She asks what time we're leaving the house on Friday AM and I tell her about 4 AM. She casually replies, "Oh, I'll be home by 4 AM."

I don't THINK so. :guilty:

No, don't tip them. If they do get any tips, they will just have to turn them back over to me. :rotfl2:

Andrew,

I don't know what my problem is! I just can't seem to get started on the packing! I could get it done while she is at school, but nooooo...I sit here reading all these wonderful posts from my fellow cruisers! lol! I guess I'll get started tho...tomorrow! :rotfl2:

I am considering telling her when I wake her up around 4:30 a.m. on Saturday. I might tell her she has to hurry and get ready cuz we've got somewhere to go. Naturally, she will ask where, and I can just hand her the door sign that I've made. Or I could give her the docs from Disney, and have her figure it out by reading through the ticket booklet. I guess to answer your question, no, I don't have it all figured out yet! I do know that it won't be until the morning we leave. My Mom is going to videotape it though, so I have to tell her everything all at once! Decisions, decisions!

Hey, don't worry about the packing, we haven't started yet either.

So, you are flying to Florida on the day of the cruise?

When will you get to the ship?

Good idea videotaping the surprise. That is going to be priceless!

Andrew (tri-circle-d)

Julia- I think John would have wanted you to get the 4500 post. Stop packing, and pay attention to what is going on here.
