November 13-17, 2011 Dream Cruise

we got our cruise documents..now just waiting for WDW documents/ magical express..:goodvibes

I booked the cruise just last month and all the Palo reservations were gone. But just today, I was able to book a Palo dinner on the 4th night. There is still availability for 7:30 dinner, if anyone is interested. I really want Palo brunch but no luck so far. I'll keep watching.

Ok, this post by "ckcurtis" concerns me. She just got off her Dream cruise on 10/16:

Couple of things that really frustrated me was the fact that our Fish Extender Gifts kept getting stoled. It was so bad that people actually stoled the Fish Extender of a couple of people in our FE group, they wrote notes and posted on their door to please return them because it was very important, but obviously noone was gonna return them. Never had this happen before, seems crazy to me. Couldn't imagine walking around stealing stuff off people's door.

I'm bringing enough zip ties for everyone. Also, I recommend delivering the FE gifts early in the morning or after the 2nd show in the evening.

I thought of bringing zip ties too because I have read somewhere that it was a good idea to use them so people don't steal the FE.
Are we having set days when we are to deliver our gifts or we can just pick a time and day that fits our schedule. I think I will aim for the early morning if I can get moving. I also think my gifts are small enough to hide inside the FE pockets so that people can't see what they are. I hope they are anyways. Still haven't ordered them. I know what I am getting but I have to wait to ship it to me in the US. Costs way too much to ship them to Canada.

FE participants can deliver their gifts on any day they wish, however please do not deliver gifts before 9:00 p.m. on the first night (embarkation) and not after 2:00 p.m on our last full day (sea day). My gifts are going to be put in a tote bag, which now I'm probably going to zip tie to the fish, and will hopefully deliver on Nassau day early in the morning.

Everyone should remember to bring a scissors and/or nail clippers!

I am SO EXCITED for this cruise. My fiancee and I just booked the cruise today and will be on board celebrating our Honeymoon:) I have been online for hours today just researching everything as this is my first cruise, and cannot wait to go! If there's anything a newbie should know, please do so. I want to make the most of this trip! :cool1:

Welcome!

On Embarkation Day, November 13, we're meeting at 3:00 p.m. at the VISTA CAFE on Deck 4. The Vista Cafe overlooks the Atrium. Hope you can stop by and say hello.

Also, you may want to make dinner reservations for Palo ($20 per person) or Remy's ($75 per person).

Hi! Just checking because we are a few days away from closing the Minnie group---last I heard, we were a group of three for the Minnie fish extender group. Not sure if anyone else has joined or not. Were we only going to keep going forward if we have 5 groups or more? We are happy with less, but want to do what everyone else thinks is best.

Please just let me know :)

Ok, this is who I have signed up so far for the Minnie Group:

kiwimom - 2 adults, 2 children (ds 10, dd 7)

I think the size of this group is fine. If anyone else would like to join please let me know by this Friday.

"jaygalterio", a Disboard member, was kind enough to design a cruise button/badge for our cruise meet. I will send you the picture via e-mail by the end of this week.

You can print it out and pin it to your collar or make a button or patch with it. Let's wear it on embarkation day so we can recognize each other.

Everyone is invited to participate, not just FE members. If you want a copy make sure I have your e-mail address.

Sounds fun to me! About Palo, I've tried to get a reservation but it says 'sold out' on all the days. I heard it's possible to book on board, does anyone know if that's true? I really wanted to do a fancy-ish dinner, but we could always dress up for one of the other nights and just pretend it's fancy:)

Thanks so much, Ellen! That is perfect, and anyone else is welcome!! WOO HOO!! :)

Shannon

Thanks! Ellen for those of us shipping ahead, do you think we will have our gifts for our meet? Did you find out when you need to ship by?

Many people have posted they were able to get reservations for Palo when they boarded. Also, you can ask to be put on a wait list for reservations.

I'll probably have to ship by Monday to get the package there by Thursday via UPS. I'll ask when I'm at UPS this week. Some people didn't receive their packages until 4:00 p.m., so it's possible you may not have them in time for the meet.

Thank you Minnie Monellen for the advice on Palo! I can't wait!

Also, I was reading another thread about the FE's and I was wondering if it would be okay for me and my fiancee (newlyweds on the cruise) to join the group. It looks like so much fun and I already have some great ideas about the gifts:)
