November 12, 2011 - Magical Double Dip!

No, It's the order in which you do the different restaurants.

The' ideal rotation' puts you in Parrot Cay for Pirate night and Lumieres for Formal night, but I think I'll just trust to luck.

Where do you request rotation preference?

Sorry if this was answered before but when is Pirate night and formal night on this cruise?

When I called they said that Pirate Night is night 5, which should be Thursday night since we're at sea all day Thursday!!

Not sure when Formal night is, but I think it's the first night at sea!! We're still looking for the info, since I didn't ask while I had them on the phone!!! :rolleyes1

responded to my earlier post and my crazy newbie questions. I am wanting to go to bed, but trying to figure out exactly what I need to do at midnight. I want to get reservations for our anniversary night to be at Palos and I want some spa reservation(s) too. I will try to login and see what happens - I told dh he needs to get up with me because I do not "do" sleepy. Do I really need to do the 3am checkin thing? I will have to be up at 5 anyways, is that close enough?
Thanks for all the info, this board is wonderful!

Your checkin probably won't matter too much!! But your reservations may!! Your SUPPOSE to be able to get on and get started at 12:01am!! Good luck!!

Anyone finding that the DCL site is undergoing maintenance? What if new cruisers need to reserve in a few minutes??

Not very good planning on their part. At first I thought they were just clearing the lines in preparation, but now I'm wondering.

3:42 a.m. website seems down....

I hope you all made out alright and got what you wanted!!! :goodvibes

We got the excursions we wanted. I didn't even try for Palo. We will consider that for a future cruise. As this is our first cruise, I'm fairly certain that we will be happy with everything that we get to see and do.

I stayed up until 3 to try and get an early boarding time. After completing the online boarding "stuff", when I went to choose a time, they said that because I was staying at a Disney Resort, I didn't need to reserve a boarding time, we are allowed to board at whatever time we find most convenient. I wish I had known that earlier, I could have got more sleep :lmao:

I wouldn't bother.

okay seriously i've been up since yesterday I really need to get some sleep....

I think y'all are taking this WAY too seriously!

"Boarding time" is kinda irrelevant to the Magic - it was more to relieve congestion in the terminal for the bigger ships.

You can get the Palo bookings you want by going to Rockin bar D to talk to the Palo people after you board.

Dining rotation is just NOT that important. All three restaurants serve the same menu on Pirate night and do the same "show". All three restaurants serve the same menu on any 'special' night so you WON't miss anything.

Chill! Honestly. Everything is going to be FINE!

Palos still has lots of dinner times left. You are very right however, everything you do will be great even if it was your tenth cruise.:woohoo:

When are the special dining nights? From the DCL FAQ it should be formal night on Monday, Pirate night on Wednesday, and semi formal on Thursday. Is this right? A previous poster said DCL told them pirate night is Thursday. I am just trying to decide on my Palo dinner.

And people, don't freak out. Last time we went on the Wonder we booked most of our excursions the day before we took them.

Spoke to CM via ressie line....

Monday - Formal
Wed - Pirate
Thurs - Semi Formal

I'm so excited my DW calls it my "Freak out mode" i love to plan down to the detail and this is our first cruise....4 hrs 28 min until midnight!:dance3:

:rotfl: Even though this isn't our first cruise, it never gets less exciting for me! Enjoy the buildup of excitement for the cruise, it's one of my favorite parts!!:goodvibes

I'm looking for the rotations available for our cruise, but haven't found them!! :confused3 I'm going to call and ask!!! :goodvibes

Just got off the phone with DCL, and as of today the dining rotations will be:

Rotation #1: PLAAPLA
Rotation #2: LAPPLAP
Rotation #3: APALLAPL

I think we're going to request #1 as it only puts us in Lumiere's twice, and it puts us in Parrot Cay on Pirate night, as well as Animators Palate three nights!!

Thanks for the info!! :thumbsup2

Hope you and everyone else made out great getting your stuff booked and doing your online check-in (if you stayed up for that also, I know I sure did:rolleyes1 )!!!

It just adds to the excitement for some of us;) But I will agree with you, everything really will be fine!:thumbsup2

That what is has been scheduled to be on our first 2 cruises, however on EACH one we ended up having an "extended" evening in Cozumel on Wednesday. This meant that our Pirate night on both cruises actually fell on Tuesday night instead of its normally scheduled night. It always works out though. I wouldn't stress over those kind of things to terribly much, I know thats easier said than done because you may be afraid you are going to miss something.....remember it is the Disney Magic:wizard: And it really is MAGICal!!!!!

Well, I'd been thinking about re-booking onboard while on this trip, and it looks like I have some dates now! :wizard:

Our adoption agency is having a 20th Anniversary party on the Dream next October, :yay::woohoo:

Haven't even been on this one and already looking at B2B combinations for next year, :rotfl:
