Have not read all the threads, but wanted to update...

I updated you on the cruiser list!

I'm out of the loop...

I am caught up with the gift exchange...do we have to register for that? If so, I think we are in.

Also, how about door magnets? Anyone doing them. On our last two, we had the same guy hook us up with door magnet images. Grumpy gramps something like that. We decorate our door anyway, but it would be fun to have a Dis magnet.

Gift Exchange Info

Meet & Greet in the Promenade Lounge Deck 3 at 3:00pm on Embarkation Day!!!!
We will meet in the Promenade Lounge at 3:00pm before the muster drill and sail-away to get to know one another briefly, put names to faces, and for those of you who would like to participate, we will also have a gift exchange! If you are participating in the gift exchange please be in the Promenade Lounge no later than 3:15. We will begin drawing names at that time!!!

Here's how it works:
Each family will bring a small gift to represent the area they are from, aka their hometown/state For example you could bring something from a local store like maybe a trinket from an artist in your hometown or if you are into sports bring something to represent your favorite home team. Last cruise on DCL, the gift I received was from a very sweet lady from Texas, she brought some local spices & coffee, along with a little Texas BBQ cookbook. It was really cool! It's just a simple gift nothing extravagant, that is unless you wanna give me a free cruise

No seriously just something light and fun!!

At the meet & greet, I will have name-tags to hand out where we will put our DIS name along with our real name, so that we can identify one another easily Then for each person or family who has brought a gift, when you come in find me, I will be handing out some lei's & up at the bar looking like I am in charge : Also I'll be wearing a name-tag At that point I'll write down your name & put it into a bowl/hat for the drawing part. I will also jot your name down on a list of who is actually participating in the exchange. That way everyone who brings a gift will receive one in return You hang onto your gift and have a seat, get to know some other people, have a drink, just relax : )

Around 3:15pm, which should give everyone enough time to mosey on down, we will begin the exchange I will call a name from the list and that person will come up pull a name from the drawing pool and exchange gifts with the person whose name they have drawn.

Very simple lots of fun and it ensures that each person who brings shall receive And no one is pressured into bringing something, it's completely up to each family, but please do come and hang out with us either way!!!

Can't wait! It's gonna be sooooo much fun!!

How do I find out our cruise details like the time we arrive and leave an island? I was really wanting to swim with the dolphins but from what I am reading my 5year old is not old enough to. If you go to the Disney Cruise website you can create an account, and when you log in, if you have your reservation number, you can find out about a lot of the excursions offered at each island, and book them at that time if you wish. I'm not sure about excursions offered outside of Disney, as this is our very first cruise as well. I don't know where you are wanting to do your dolphin thing, but if the Disney ones don't allow it based on age, then you can go independently. Most of the age restrictions plummet for those, I have two 4yo's and we are doing both our excursions outside of DCL this time.

We did the double dip last year. For cayman iSlands I bought tickets online for turtle farm and saved a significant amount of money. Also we were able to take the bus with the people who did the excursion. Through dcl b/c boatswains (turtle farm) was providing transportation. Dolphin discovery next door and other cruisers said they had a lower min age posted than what dcl had. I. Also Did tour of ruins through dcl and hated it. Guide showed us trees but wouldn't get close to ruins. And dcl charged me for my 4yr old but. Posted admission was "free under 6". Sorry. For grammar new phone

Yes that is the back on ship time. Sting ray close to ship and staff comes around to herd people to ship. Because they scan your room keys on way off they wait for all to return and send out staff if people are late. Ship didn't actually leave castaway til almost 4 last year. However at non castaway ports ship gives two warning horns then leaves (unless you are out on a dcl excursion then boat will wait)

I agree, I wouldn't worry to much about it since it is on Castaway. And even if you miss the ship there(which is highly unlikely) we can just pick you up when we come back on Friday!
