Is this a confirmed double-dip cruise? I was looking at it on the DCL website and it shows the traditional schedule with Key West. I was just wondering if your confirmation shows something different?

Just pulled out my paperwork from the rebooking and YES - it does have that this is a double dip with a Sunday and a Friday stop at Castaway Cay!

I also checked the DCL sight and it is listed as a normal Western. Jocelyn said that there is some reason that the Magic can not port in Key West during this week and that is why it is a double dip.

Looks like there's a big powerboat championship race held in Key West that week. At least there was one this year. Must be why they did the double dip this year as well.

I have added a link to your thread on the main index page. Have a great cruise!:thumbsup2

So what is the schedule for this cruise-----we were looking to rebook for the magic on oct. 22,2011-----but loved cc----so this might be a better option for us----

yeah so glad to see somebody else reply!

wlkent67, the schedule is:
Saturday 11/12- Port Canaveral
Sunday 11/13- Castaway Cay :)
Monday 11/14- at sea
Tuesday 11/15- either Cozumel or Grand Cayman
Wedsenday 11/16- the other one! (sorry i couldnt remember which one came first!)
Thursday 11/17- at sea
Friday 11/18- Castaway Cay!
Saturday 11/19- Port Canaveral

Hope this helps! the only reason we booked this cruise is because of the double dip at Castaway Cay.

Hello!

We are booked on the Dream in Aug. 2011 for 5 nights. However, we are considering transfering our ressie to the Magic, Nov. 12th cruise. Two more nights for just about the same price!:thumbsup2

HallsofVA: I noticed you are booked in the 6614, 6612 and 6610. Have you stayed in these rooms before? Did you like them? What are the pros and cons? Thanks in advance for your help. We might book 6608.

Jeanne (:rolleyes1)
DH: Jon (:rotfl2:)
DS: Matthew (8)
DS: Michael (7)

TheM&MBoys- 6610,6612,and 6614 are actually our rooms! lol Yes we love those rooms this will be our 4th time staying in those rooms. The location is great! You walk right down the hall and the elevator for the middle of the ship is right there. 6608 is a great room also. On our last cruise I knew someone who stayed in the room next to that 6606 i think) and they loved it.

Hope this helps!

Hi and Happy New Year i<castawaycay123!

Thank you for responding back about the rooms and there location. I am also considering 6616. We all would be neighbors!! Would you recommend 6616 or 6608? We were on the Wonder in a SPH room and loved it on our last cruise. We thought we might splurge on the seven night cruise with a verandah. I don't know how much use we will get out of it and we are trying to justify the extra expense considering we spend so little time in the room. Have you ever had a problem with other cruisemates smoking on their verandahs? I am highly alergic to smoke and this is another concern of mine. If we book, which we will hopefully do sometime this week, it would be really cool to keep chatting. Thanks again for your input and I look forward to hearing back from you!

Jeanne :)

Jeanne-

Happy New Year to you too! Hope it is filled with joy for your family! :goodvibes

Personally, I would recommend 6608. It is closer to the elevator. We have always had a verandah except for the second cruise and we really regretted not having one. For our family we use it all the time! The smoking issue really isnt that bad. Once we had a neighbor who smoked and we could see it but never smell it. We have only had that happen once and it wasnt bad at all. We dont usually worry about it.

Im so glad someone else finally responded! :)

Hi Missy!

Hopefully we'll get more activity as we get closer to the cruise date. Better yet, maybe we'll have the ship to ourselves! :cool1:

We are now leaning towards a SPH room. I REALLY want a verandah, DH is having a difficult time justifying the extra $1000. :sad1: Looking at the layout of deck 6, it looks like 6616 is right across from the aft elevators and 6608 is aft and up the hallway, is this not accurate? I was thinking if your party didn't smoke that I might book 6616. When cruising, the wind will be blowing towards the rear of the ship and I will be well protected with three nonsmoking verandahs in front of me. :thumbsup2 Is this crazy or what?! I know I over plan, obsess and have a type A personality when planning vacations. I get to drive my DH crazy for over a year and a half! :rotfl2: I look forward to getting to know you and your family. Thanks for all your help so far!

BTW...we have decided to transfer our ressies to the Magic.:thumbsup2 Now we just have to decide on which stateroom to book.

Stay warm!

Jeanne :)

Jeanne-

Yes that is accurate! lol im sorry i thought it was the other way around. I always get confused with the room orders. No ma'am, none of our party smokes! And thats ok we all do the same thing with over obsessing about stuff like that! hahaha If you have any kids, I have started a kids chat on a different thread. I will be 16 on the cruise, my sister (Chloe) will be 13, my brother (Cole) will be 9, and my cousin (Anna Rae) will be 6. Yes I am trying my best to stay warm, supposed to snow tomorrow! :) You do the same!

Hi Chappel!

I hope your week is going well. We finally transfered our ressies over to this cruise! :thumbsup2 We decided on a SPH room and hope to upgrade at port. We do have kids, however they are still a bit too young to be chatting on the computer. We have two boys and they will be 7 and 8 when we cruise. I look forward to chatting with you and your family.

Take care, Jeanne :goodvibes

sorry for taking so long to reply back! I kept checking but didnt realize there was a second page. So Sorry!

Im glad to hear you booked! :)

And the ages for your sons are perfect! My little brother will have just turned 9 when we go on the cruise so he will be glad to have some friends! Im sure your kids will love the kids club. Cole (my brother) likes it a bunch. He really likes it when he knows that someone that he knows will be there! lol

Chappel :cool1:

Welcome aboard Krista and family!:goodvibes WhooHooo we've got another family joining us!!:cool1: Looks like we will have a group of boys around the same age. My two will be 8 and 7 at the time of sailing.

We will also be in a SPH room. We will be in 5520. We were in 5022 on our last cruise and loved it!:thumbsup2

Will you be driving or flying down to Florida? Last time we drove but I think this time we will fly. Between gas, food and lodging we would have broken even.:sad2:

Anyways...we have a whole year and a half to go. Hopefully the time will fly by.

Jeanne
