November 12, 2005....7 Night Eastern...Who Else?

You guys are all too funny keeping track of such trivial things! :cool1: That is what keeps the real world all in perspective.....and I thank you! :goodvibes

I have thought about mailing a package of soy milk and a few other things to Ron Jon's or the Port......but the weight in $$ and the chance it won't arrive is too great. I figure I will take it with us and be that special customer of Delta's that pushes them over the top into bankrupsy......they sure are close! Just like being post #700, I want to be the customer that makes the jet fuel bill determine the exact moment that Delta announces the bank it truly broke! :rotfl:

BTW, do you know how heavy a case of DS's soy milk is? REALLY HEAVY! :guilty:

I love the idea of "signing" our postcards and maybe adding a few little fun facts. :earboy2:

I love the atlas idea! My kids will dig that. Schools don't start here in Oregon until Sept. 6th.....all too late if you ask me. I would LOVE it if they started early like your kids! I have always said and had in the back of my complicated head that "when school starts it'll mean the Disney cruise is REALLY getting close!"

Funny thing this am when I was surfing the DIS boards....I came across the thread "video of Magic sailing back home" or something of that sort.....my kids were over my shoulder and cup of hot java....I decided to be daring a download the video (sometimes doing so screws up my laptop? :confused3 )
You all need to see this video! It is soooooo cool! It is of The Magic leaving San Pedro near LA...going home to Port Canaveral. I played it for my kids and they about wet their pants! :cheer2: It shows a coast guard boat leading the Magic out to sea.....with close ups of people waving goodbye on the top deck and everthing!

SOOOOO cool!

true-case of soy milk is HEAVY! just pack it in a suitcase that the combined weight won't exceed delta's max per bag (50#?). you can always use the extra bag to bring home all the goodies you get there.

p.s. does your son like soy yogurt? my dd was hooked on this as a little one, had to have grandma and grandpa bring large amounts when they visited (no place around us carried it). now she would probably take one taste and make a face (it was pretty pungent stuff :) ).

Never have tried soy vanilla yogurt......it's not like he is alllergic to lactose products.....he just LOVES that Silk vanilla soy milk and also likes Kirkland's (Cost Co) brand vanilla soy milk. When you all meet him just think in the back of your minds...."soy milk has kept him alive".... :goodvibes he eats only about 10 things in life and is truly a disfuctional eater.... :guilty: but he is healthy and strong like a horse thanks to mommy's persistance! :goodvibes
HE LOVES VANILLA YOGURT and I have subscribed to a couple of threads asking if that is available on ship.....only to get confusing answers. :confused3

I sure hope so! ;)

both my kids were soy babies (preventative measure-i can't do alot of milk and dh was a soy kid) then flipped to regular milk as toddlers (soy formula leaves the worst stain-nothing i tried soaking stuff in cut it). my son was found to have a slight milk allergy when he was around 4 so we decided to try going back to the soy. as luck would have it we were just about to go to wdw so we stocked our vacation home fridge with vanilla and choc. soy drinks-he took one taste, gagged and never would try it again :) he then became a sunny delight addict (iiiiick!), and is now a white grape juice junkie.

he's not much of an eater either-pasta, chicken (drumsticks or nugget form), pb&j are the basic staples of his diet (unless he's on a cruise where he can get fries and smother them in cheese sauce from the nacho bar), but the doctor says he's healthy-just a very thin kid (he's 8 1/2 and has yet to hit 50 pounds, wears size 7/8 for the length but i have to take major tucks in the waist) we joke that he will have to use a booster seat to take his driving test :goodvibes i'm sure you'll find vanilla yogurt on board-they seem to have every flavor available in the mornings.

well tomorrow i'm going to call disney dining to get my reservations for our wdw choices, and i'm jazzed because i just realized today that we will actualy be able to go to house of blues for the gospel breakfast! we eat there at least a couple of times when we go but have never timed our trip to be able to make this.

good night all.

I can not help it that the post numbers work good with my days off. lets see how many other post for the hundreds that I can get. And nude volleyball is a option for those that are the last to board!!!!!!! :rotfl2: 800 will be mine!!!!!!!!! I gave Disnurse the700 post. :teeth: Will the rest of my ship mates be so lucky? :confused3 :rolleyes1 :smooth:

DISBOARDS CHALLENGE - ARE YOU ALL WITH ME-----
4FORMICKEY WILL NOT GET TO STEAL POST 800........ALL AGREED.

GREAT ----

Disnurse - have your travel agent request the soymilk for you and it should magically appear! My daughter drinks rice milk and I intend on asking for it as well! Theyare very good at requests like that since there are so many allergies now! Not that Haley is allergic - it's just better for her and she likes it. :flower:

I can sure try....thanks for the advise. Do you know what phone # to call? I would have to be specific in saying VANILLA soy milk.....I know they are great about regular soy milk requests.

Barkley....I am glad to hear someone else has a picky eater! it is disfunctional IMHO but we have tried all remedies. I think time is the only cure now. :goodvibes He'll probably be a teenager before he will even try pizza! It's not that he dislikes things, HE WONT TRY ANYTHING ELSE! We are packing a huge jar of creamy JIFF pb and some jelly, plus a loaf of bread if you can believe that!

I know many of you are thinking that I could get such items on board but I am the proud and humbled thread starter of a lengthy PB & J discussion some months back.....NOPE! You can't get PB anywhere....all they serve are those disgusting prepackaged and processed "Uncrustables" by Smuker's.

The thread was really quite funny....it ended up with people bashing one another about peanut and food allergies and the dangers of having PB available on board! I remember we were in Arizona on spring break reading my thread at my folk's house (so must have been late March) and I was in tears laughing at people getting so snippy with eachother! :teeth:

People were going on and on high atop their soap boxes...and then some innocent, curious person would chime in and ask, "I feel stupid for asking this....but what exactly is an Uncrustable?" :rotfl: :rotfl: Then other poeple were trying to describe what they were...and for people who have not had small children around them in the last 5 years...they couldn't imagine there was actually such a gross food item and that DCL would serve it! :rotfl:

That was a funny thread!
Also right around that same time was the all-famous thread about someone wanting to bring their own toilet paper because DCL's is too 'rough'! :rotfl:
That thread went for PAGES and had my DH and I laughing so hard! If you want some cheap entertainment some night....look back to March 20-22 or so and you'll crack up! :rotfl2:

For those that pray and for those that just sit quietly and think nice thoughts... I could use a few.
I started cramping and went to the doctor this morning. Our baby's heart had stopped beating after we saw it flashing away 3 weeks ago. I am scheduled for surgery in the morning.
As you know we are leaving for CA on Friday - I don't want to fly that far away but think we need to go somewhere and heal and have some fun rather than sit and mope.
Just please think nice thoughts for me as I go under general anesthesia tomorrow at 12:30.
Thanks.
Jessica and Family

Jessica - I am so sorry!!! Loss is never easy. I'm a pretty emotional person & it won't be any surprise to my family to know that my eyes have tears. You will definitely be my thought tomorrow at 12:30. I hope everything goes as planned & you all have a great vacation. It will be a good diversion.

Oh, Jessica - words cannot express how sorry I am for the loss of this sparkle that we knew all too shortly. You will be in my prayers for your recovery from surgery, as will your family. Irene

Jessica

Thank you so very much.......They look just great!!!!

Thanks everyone.
We are not going to CA - but to Orlando to one of the Disney resorts. My choice - for 7 nights. I intend to ride every ride and see every show and act as childish as I can with Haley for 7 days.
And I love the bands - that made me smile!
I'll be watching out to be #800 - it's my lucky number.

Hi Jessica,

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Our prayers will be with you and your family. Travel safe.
