The beauty of the kids in school all day everyday this Fall is that I will be able to pack when they are not looking! They won't even for a minute notice that their summer clothes are "disappearing" from thier rooms....by Halloween it is COLD here and we'll be well into pants and jackets.

We will have to tell them something the night before....."we are going on a surprise trip tomorrow....We are taking you to the Florida beach!" Otherwise, I would not be able to get them out of bed near as easily at 5 am the next morning! When we went to WDW last Oct, the am we had to get up at 5 am and head for the airport, they literally POPPED out of bed with bright smiles and full cooperation! It was great!

I doubt we will see any cruise ships from Ron Jon's either Thursday night or all of Friday.....so I think I can keep it still a surprise until the Magic pulls in that sat am. We plan on taking them up to the highest floor of the Hotel where you can see the Magic and tell them there! (about 9 am)

I like the idea of sending a stamped self addressed envelope to have the bands sent to us before the cruise.

I CONCUR - In addition, this will allow allow us to re-imburse the person who pays for the neon wristbands. Plus, we have a finite time to order these - and we may not have enough for people who join us later, if we don't have enough.

I really like the idea of wearing them while boarding.

Meeting outside of the theater sounds great to me.

: Ok every one the childrens place is having their summer sale. All items are $3.99 or less. Time to get those kids their cruise wear. I will need 2 of the large bands and 2 of the kids bands. I have been telling my son that he will be able to meet a lot of new friends on the boat. He is 4 and loves to be around people. Baby girl is 2 and she love to dance and sleep. Now I would like my band before the trip so I could dream about it. I think that I will make brunch res for the wife and let her hang out for the afternoon. So I will book a table for 6 if any of you girls want a girl day out. She will not know about it until after we board. I 'm working on my gift for later that night Don't book all of your time when we are in port.St. Thomas has good shopping on gold so you want to save a little of that money for shopping.Lets see who will be frist to post at 400

Wow! You guys have been busy today! I've been pming with chip&dale&fun and I think we mght have hatched a plan.

I'll order for everyone. So far, we have 19 adults & 14 kids. I'm guessing that by the end of the weekend we'll be over 20 in each area, so we'll have some extras. I can foot the bill on the extras, so that as new people come along we have a few. If I end up stuck with loads of extra bracelets, I'll holler & maybe you all can pitch in a margarita or two in Nov to cover the cost

So, the shipping is $8, which works out to be $.24 for each band (with the counts as they are now). So, it looks like we can do a 15-24 character phrase for $3 a band. Once the weekend is over, we'll get the list compiled & I can PM you with my address so you can mail payment. If you want the bands before the cruise, send me a self-addressed stamped envelope & when they get here, I'll pop them right back in the mail. Otherwise, I'll bring them with me to the meet at 3:00.

Now, one more question. I just did a live chat with reminderband. They can add any art we want for a $30 set-up fee. Anyone interested??? or or or or Artwork counts as 1 character.

We could even do DISNEYMAGIC 11/12/05 since the $30 art fee applies to the whole design and not each new piece of art. We could even change the font if we wanted. That would be included in the fee as well. We just need to send the art in an eps, pdf or ai format.

I agree with 4forMickey, I don't think we need to do the art, but I will go with whatever the majority decides. Choc Marg - thanks so much for running with this idea. I'll be happy to help reimburse you if we end up with extras. Especially if reimbursement involves margaritas - I might even be talked into having one with you!!

as far as surprising our kids with the trip-daughter already knows (since she had to miss camp due to the surgery we let her in on the surprise) but son (8) does not. here's what we plan to do: we leave on sunday 11/6 for our wdw stay before the cruise, so on my husband's birthday (11/1) my husband will open a gift box that has a big card in it that says "surprise-you're going to disney world and on the disney cruise. you can take 3 of your favorite people with you!!!". i know my son will start in immediatly start in with 'dad am i one of your favorite people, can i go-is there anything i can do for you dad?"

OMG! Have you ever gone to great lengths to post a reply and then screwed up and lost it? I just did that I am am so bummed and too tired at the end of this day to rehash it.

This will be quick.....yes I love the generosity of the anonomous donor and we can all buy this person a drink if we are takers.....I love and/or as the choices.

Be careful and measure you family's wrists...I just did and my 8 y.o's wrist barely fits into the small (child) size!

I am a fan of going with the flow and if we choose to premail them out before the cruise then whomever originally volunteerd to find out the postage quantity please step forward . That would be the easiest way....knowing ahead of time what envelope with what postage to mail. I feel so fortunate to be amongst such oraginaize and awesome DIS'ers!

While I am thinking of it...we will just miss the Wonder's departure from Port when we are at Ron Jon's cause we won't be at Ron Jon's until at least 6-7 pm (Thursday night) so the kids won't see any ships as far as I can tell.

We sure have piled on a lot of threads this week! Is it really less than 100 days? I don't have time to notice......I am not kidding....someone has got to remind me when I am within the first time (newbie) frame of booking online in late August! Between now and then i am working my tail off.....working off the Disney Cruiser Line bill! OHHHHH.....AHHHHHH how I am gonna' love going on our 2 week adventure in November getting paid vacation as if I was putting in all those 12 hour shifts taking care of sick premies and their emotionally distraught parents......

No pressure on the art guys! Just wanted to let you all know that the cost is covered IF we want to go that route. I know our costs keep inching up bit by bit, but this will still be the least expensive Disney souvenier I have ever purchased So far, I'm up to 27 mediums & 18 smalls. I know there are few more people out there that haven't joined our meets board. Hope they do soon!

They check in and talk about their weather just about every other day! A lot of them have sailed together before and know eachother!
