November 12, 2005....7 Night Eastern...Who Else?

I just watched our video tape starting with the, "We are going on a surprise trip to Florida!"......and ended with Magic Kingdom......the second tape has yet to be watched.

I  loved re visiting all of the Magic!
I brought that darned video camera just about everywhere!

STB, I have LOTS of video from the Character Breakfast (you guys included since your table was right next to ours!) and when we were together at the Farewell Goodbye by the stairwells.
It brought tears to my eyes watching all of that! :teeth:

To answer your question, I hope you guys stay close and be patient with my attempts to post pictures! I have SOME GREAT PICTURES! We took over 400 pictures and I would never think of boring you all with that many, or even half!
I do need time to figure out how to do it!

I think you would like seeing some of these pictures! :goodvibes

Okay, awoltoday......someone like you needs to just come forward and give me step by step instructions!
I hardly have time to sift through some Japenese instruction booklet to my new digital camera!

So get to the chase, will ya?

I still have such fond memories of our cruise. The aftermath at WDW and all of the fun parks we did didn't come close to how I feel about the Disney Cruise! :cheer2:

It was just Magical for us!
The character interaction is what stands out to me as the biggest dicotomy between any WDW park and DCL. By the time we got to WDW, our kids almost were bored with the characters they had been so spoiled on that cruise!
We didn't spend one minute on a character in WDW. Why bother?

Anyone going to post any pictures of the cruise ?

Yes, But....I was slammed at work after our return, and Thanksgiving and Christmas are fun, but am I ever behind...the tree is not yet up. So the scrapbook and pictures will have to wait. But yes, I will post.

Does anyone know the recipe of the tomato pesto soup that room service had??? I loved it and would love to get it at home.

No but while we're at it - I would pay top dollar for the mushroom soup we had one night. That was my favorite food the entire cruise - well that and the Lava Cake - if someone will make me one of those too please!

Awhile ago I stumbled on to the following site that offers recipes from various WDW restaraunts: http://allearsnet.com/din/rec.htm

Unfortunately I don't see anything for the Tomato Pesto Soup (however Palo's Choc Souffle is there!)...but here is a different link to a simple recipe for a tomato pesto soup:

Those were great, AngieBelle!.......I swear I was standing right next to you in some of those pictures! It's very possible I was!
You look familiar, also. Like I saw you a whole bunch of times on the ship and I didn't know who you were. :goodvibes

Can you believe it??? We got our Castaway Club cards & Shoreside Survival Kit in the mail today, but the CD was broken. I called DCL & they said they would get a new one out to us. Bummer that it was broken, but cool that we got our cards.

Now we just look forward to the next one! Fairydismom talked us into sailing with them on the 10/28/06 Eastern. Yeah!

We just finished sorting through our pics. There were over 400 between us & Houseforsale/Plutotoo. Then once I got the ones I liked, I uploaded to Costco and have 260 pics printed & ready to pick up in 3 hrs ;) The only bummer was that I could only upload 12 at a time. Then once those were up, I could choose 12 more & wait again. Long process, but now we have prints for people to view in their hot little hands. :cool1:

No, I can't believe it!

There are so many people on these threads who have posted that they NEVER received their "package", that I can only congratulate you!

Disney was paying attention to you because of your scary looking husband!

Congrats to you and I hope I hear from your DH soon to help me post some of my pictures. HINT HINT. :goodvibes

I hope you all enjoy the final episode of Survivor this Sunday night! :teeth:
I know I am looking forward to it!

HA! Our kids didn't spend one minute in those darned clubs! :guilty:

That part was very different from what we expected.
It didn't matter much.....we are not late night people anyway and the fact that our kids would be in different age groups killed the idea in their little Disney brains.

We too received our Castaway Club member cards today in the mail.....and low and behold!....the CD was broken to pieces!.....just like Choc Margs'. I am sure many of these are breaking through the mail. Shouldn't they take a hint and deliver in a sturdier package than a paper envelope?

I will call them tomorrow to see what they say.

Choc Marg......got a full dose of Survivor the other night and thought of you. I put the Survivor buff on my head during the episode and my DD was laughing at me! :rotfl2:

Next one in Panama? Sounds interesting!
You rock! Thanks! :goodvibes

hello all-glad to know everyone is well. sorry we have'nt chimed in for a while but between dh finishing up his class (and doing the final project), the kiddles doing their school christmas show, dd getting croup will rehearsing christmas show, dh and i getting god knows what, dmom getting bronchial pnumonia...well it's been a tad busy around here (can you say someone has yet to finish their christmas shopping?).

i've seen our photos via plugging the digital into the big screen tv, but have yet to print them out (we got some great animal shots at animal kingdom). i will have to print them soon-i bought dmil a tote bag for christmas that holds photos on the outside with plans of filling them with shots of the kids on vacation.

so what is the cd that castaway club is sending now? something to entice you to comeback? i recall getting cards several years ago after our first cruise but did'nt pay much attention since beyond the onboard gift with additional cruises the cards never held any perks.

re. the tomato soup recipie-hit up someone who has the newest disney cookbook it had several of the cruise recipies in it, you could also ask someone who is cruising in the near future-we enjoyed a soup one cruise and commented to the waiter who went back to the kitchen and had the chef print it up before the meal ended (of course its for a VERY LARGE AMOUNT :teeth: ). but they are pretty good about giving away their recipies.
speaking of recipies-i thought of chocmarg the other day. i was going through a folder of recipies and came across some awesome chocolate creations. in my former life working at a hotel we would house the participants in the robert mondavi cooking school. one session one of the participants left their recipie booklet behind and it got copied several times over before they retrieved it.

houseforsale-i misplaced your bsns. card-so if you can pm me with your email i would like to get some info. we realy would like to relocate this summer, and need to seriously consider where.

princesshayleysmom-major congrats! dd was conceived the same same week we were on the cruise 12 years earlier in maui! i am assuming the due date is sometime in late july to early august?

Received our Castaway Cay CD and it too was broken. (pout)
Must send it back. I friend has it and it is too cool- saw hers today and then picked up mine.

Did you send it back - or just e-mail them.

Strange thing was the letter spoke about a western cruise. We were on the eastern. And it gave us a re-booking deal - provided we rebooked by November 2005.

Oh well....

No mention of an Eastern or a Western on ours....maybe 'cause they know we have already rebooked?

I can't imagine sending the broken CD back...too much hastle and cost.
Can't I just call them?
THat is what I plan to do.
I will surley mention that I know of multiple parties who have received broken CD's and I suggest they revisit their mailing package.???????

I really do want to post these awesome pictures we have someday.
Don't go too far, people.
Someday I will post them.

.......let the thread live on! :teeth:

For all who may be leaving for a family holiday. We are staying home, so I will post more Holiday greetings later.

for those of you in the last remaining hours before the kids get out for vacation, and the "can't we open just one present??????" whining begins.....
i feel your pain :)

hope everyone is well (i started antibiotics last night for bronchitis so i know i will start feeling better), done with their shopping (me? HAH! i'll still be remembering things at the last minute), and enjoying the holidays (if i have to hear the kids sing "the 12 days of christmas" and argue about which things are on which day one more time.........!!!!).

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

:wave2: Hi! Because I was at Typhoon Lagoon on Thanksgiving Day, my scheduler at work decided to act out jelously and meanly......sticking me with Christmas Day this year! :guilty:

......I agree, someone had to go in and take care of those sick premies.....but I am quite possibly the only one who has kids mine's ages to who still DEFINILTELY believe in Santa!

If it is slow, I will ask for "first call off" and then at least get to go in late.
If not, I am not sure what will happen!

??????? Can the kids stare at their stockings for 10 1/2 hours until I get home?

I don't think so!

got to share our santa plans with all of our fellow "believers" out there...
dd and ds still believe (as do dh and i), but their faith (esp. dd's) gets shaky at times. this year dd wants a digital camera from santa (which we support so we don't have to develop so many bad photos). if santa brings a digital camera this year we suspect there may already be some photos sitting on the memory stick-we understand that the elves he sends out to check on holiday behaviour also "test" out gifts to make sure they work. so we won't be surprised if there are some photos taken from outside the house looking into windows, maybe checking in on one of santa's helpers (the santa at the mall who we know reports back to the big guy), maybe santa's list of good kids with dd's and ds's name on it...

ho-ho-ho

happy holidays
