November 12, 2005....7 Night Eastern...Who Else?

we are just home too-when i am more awake i will read back all that has been posted. it was too wonderful meeting all of you! i hope one of you will start a trip report thread so we can continue communicating with one another.

What a terrific trip!! But, glad we're home. Too many days of hard motion,,,, If we just had not started out with Sun. & Mon.'s high wave action,,uggh!! And,,,the "ship is still rocking for me"...when will that feeling ever stop. My hands are all over this keyboard as I slosh from side to side!! I could have stayed at CC the entire time too!!

My mother arrived home sick too :( She started feeling ill on Thurs. She gargled salt water several times over the last two days in an attempt to ward off the crud for the last few hours of the trip. I'm glad she finally made it home before it nailed her head on. She's off the to dr. to get antibiotics.

Dis_Nurse and I were amoung the few last stragglers off the ship. It was a round 9:00. She was soooooo stoaked about suprising her kiddies again, with their trip to The Nick Hotel!!!

It was soooooooooooooo awesome to meet alllll of you in person!!!! You guys are just as awesome in "real" life as you are on the boards! We have a great group, and you have all made my life richer by meeting you!!

I have several pages to catch up on since we spent the week prior to the cruise in Disney - Dang,,,I didn't know what a chattering bunch of fools we were!!

VERANDAH MAN!! You made my face light up when I saw your post on our board!! YOU'RE A LEGEND!!! Thanks for popping in!! OH,,, and I totally think being able to blow the horn on the ship ROCKS!!!! And, of all people to be able to do it,,,I'm soooo glad YOU were!!!!!!!!!!!! :cheer2:

well i just got back from restocking the fridge/pantry-the store kept rocking back and forth. i'm sure people wonder who the crazy exhauted woman who was weaving up and down the aisles was :rotfl2: we got home around 9:30 west coast time, and dh ran to mickey d's to get us something to eat before we all collapsed. dh is now starting his tivo thon, which i will join once he gets past all the sci fi stuff. angiebelle has started a cruise report thread for us so when folks are up to it they can start adding on, but i hope we can keep this thread alive forever-you've all come to mean so much to me, meeting you has just made it moreso.

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR THE WONDERFUL T-SHIRT, i suspect it will become a community property item for dh and i to share wearings of.

hope everyone had ease in travel home-we did the day rate at the airport hyatt and got to kick back and relax before boarding (oh, and uh...i did have to shell out for luggage overage. because they make you display the alcohol that exceeds your limit to customs before disembarking, all of my packing plans went out the window and the alcohol had to go into one suitcase -which resulted in impractical packing)...but we are home, and will look forward to printing up the pictures to share.

p.s. i dearly want a copy of the group photo-can someone oblige?

I have the group photo. If everyone who wants one sends me a email I will make sure you get it.

Also it was great meeting all of you :)

The unpacking is progressing. anyone that did not receive a postcard from me ('cause I was sick the second day at 3:00 - due to the High Seas) - please PM me with an address and I will send it on its way.

Still can't believe what a great time we had!!!!!

Thank you for the picture!!!!!!!!!! It was DH birthday and here we are sailing off!!!

If you put your cursor over the picture, then right click your mouse, you should be able to save, or print, the photo that way.

Got it, and it's hanging on the frig!!!!

Thanks SO much!

How on earth did that week go by so fast?! I'm with all of you who could have just skipped right to Tuesday (that's why we did not make it to the meet on Sunday)...luckily Gavin & Eric didn't feel as icky as Greg & I did, but we all survived it and it will go down as one of the best vacations we've ever taken! The islands were all gorgeous!

My DIS board memories...of course the meet on Saturday was tons of fun (thanks for all of the postcards)! Besides that, I loved peeking at everyone's pics in Shutters (hope no one minds)...loved Jaypd & dw's wedding renewal pic! I loved C&D&F's dress on formal night (you looked beautiful!)...seems like we were constantly running into Choc_Marg & AWOL and STB wherever we went (by the way STB...glad to hear I'm not the only one still feeling the sway and also, what awesome pictures you guys had in Shutters)! Glad we ran into 4forMickey in St. Maarten, or I don't think we would have realized that we could go to the beach right there (we're not the most observant people)! Got to hear Angiebelle's beautiful accapella (sp?) rendition of one of my favorite songs from Phantom of the Opera at the talent show (was waiting for DisNurse to show up and dance, but she never materialized)! Had fun sharing a table at the Gala Dessert Buffet with Princess Haley's Mom and her DH. I know there is stuff I'm missing, but we just got home and I'm sleepy! Thanks to everyone for helping make our first cruise so memorable!

Nancy

Totally agree with those that still have the swaying. Had to hold my head up at dinner last night to keep from falling over. And we also agree that CC was amazing. I'm not a beach or sand person, but totally enjoyed our experience there. It was great to meet all of you also, what a great group of people we had with little green wrist bands. Sorry to say I never did meet Favorite Auntie but I'm sure she had lots of family to hang with. Also for those that didn't get postcards from Flagstaff/Grand Canyon Arizona, I'll be happy to send them to you also if you provide me with a mailing address. Sorry you didn't get them Sat. afternoon. The bathroom scale didn't show too much damage from all the food and the wonderful chocolate chip cookies, and the laundry is 1/2 done, but we are off to have a knee replacement this morning for Pluto too, so it will have to wait for a few more hours. Wonderful trip, wonderful group. Hopefully we will talk on the other thread. :wave2:

Sometimes I still feel the rocking too! Laundry is all cleaned, but needs to be put away, grocery shopping is done & I've even managed to squeeze in a little work :)

We had a great trip after the first couple of days! We loved meeting everyone and were even conned into rebooking while on board. We need to be able to do Lord Sheffield next time!

Katie - Samantha has already asked to send a note to Elizabeth & Natalie. I'll have her get something together once we get settled back in.

Hope everyone is settling back in!

Hello all,

What a great trip!!! My family and I had an awesome time. The Bonine took care of Julie and I and the wrist bands took care of Nick so the swaying wasn't bad for us, THANK GOD!!!!. It just made the trip more memorable for us. We booked another cruise while on board for 2007 so it looks like I'll be watching these boards for a while.

It was great to know some people on board and it was fun bumping into you guys in the halls.

Talk again soon,

Frank, Julie and Nick

Great for all those that booked onboard. Kecia took it one step futher and we became Vacation club members. :goodvibes It was a very good deal and for what we have spent in cruising in the past 2 years, our membership would be half way paid for.. So for the next 49 years we will be part of the mouse family. The 4 bedroom villias are the bomb. :wizard: We can kept the thread going by just keeping on replying.

4formickey-WELCOME TO THE FAMILY!!! maybe we can get "the twins" together again sometime at a dvc location :goodvibes you will never regret your decision to join-we don't use our membership in the traditional manner but have enjoyed both of our 7 day cruises, our alaskan cruise as well as 2 long stays at wdw as a benefit (ssr was where we stayed prior to this cruise, and while jim still likes boardwalk better i loved the serenity and peacefullness of ssr loads). since we only used 5 days of our 10 day non expiring park passes for this trip we will be sure to go back for another nice long stay in a couple of years.

i think we must have been the only ones not to have problems with the motion of the ship-it actualy made for the best sleep i've had in a couple of years :) . of course everything is still swaying-esp. when i sit down for a few minutes. we are still trying to get back to west coast time-but a great benefit has been the kids going to sleep very early (maybe we can keep this up-they are much more plesant to wake up for school). went to the post office to pick up the mail-tons of election stuff and post dated ads to toss :teeth:

hope those that stayed on for post cruise fun don't get have to endure too many heavy crowds, those soap weekenders were flooding the parks just as we were leaveing-and i imagine the thanksgiving rush has begun as well.

look forward to hearing from everyone as the arrive home safely.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL....

ENJOY THE DAY, YOUR FAMILY, FRIENDS.

WE ALL HAVE ONE MORE THING TO BE THANKFUL FOR, A MAGICAL CRUISE.

Irene, Sam and Hedgie.

Wow, check out the holiday trim for the dis boards! Very nice!

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

We are heading off to Disneyland this weekend! Should be fun!

Happy Thanksgiving!

As you're eating your turkey today try to remember... It tastes like chicken!

It was great to meet all of you on the ship and it really stinks getting back to reality. At least my house has stopped swaying...
