And there is nothing wrong with looking like a freak - I do it everyday. Just thought we'd sound like idiots yelling, "Barkley's DH", "Disnurse", "PrincessHaleysmom".......etc...... but then again who cares right???

oh no! i just watched "martha behind bars" the other day! i remember the first time dh and i ever saw her on t.v.-it was a christmas special, and we were like "who is this crafty lady on speed ?".

I didn't used to be crafty. But we built a house and since then I am out of control. I have lots of urges to hit the craft stores but am out of money! Watch Martha on The Apprentice Wednesday night! Another reality show for ya!

I (we) too are terrible with names! I figure by November I will just about have everyone's DIS names associated with something they've shared and then have to come face to face with a George and Gertrude? Roberto and Camilla? I will be so lost!

I agree with the spread sheet idea...what do I do again? Just PM PrincessHaleysMom? What data should I include?

Thanks for all the advise and specifics on the Hyatt MCO! I need to call them and ask just how late they'll let us check out and if they will hold our bags. You mean I could check our checked luggage several hours ahead of time? Are you sure it'll still get there? I have had TERRIBLE luck with luggage not showing up and being lost or stolen...almost every plane trip we have taken! My DH works for a Community College (yes, State funded...so wondering if the discount would apply? What should we take to try this?) Thanks

We'll be checking into the Hyatt MCO on Thanksgiving night! That will seem weird...never have I been away from home on a major holiday without extended family. Surely, we will be fat, happy and tan by then! Oh, yes....I will be searching high and low for MORE FOOD! NOT! You can guarantee I will be visiting that work out facility at MCO Hyatt!

Thanks for the offer of dropping off somethings at Ron Jon's. I think we'll be okay as long as Florida Tours lets us stop at that Publix right by the Port. Thanks for that little tid bit too! You have all contributed so much info it is awesome!

Anyone been to Wet and Wild? We are going there for sure this time...just gotta' try it out......BB will be closing for refurbishment on the 23rd of Nov and almost everything will be CROWDED the week of Thanksgiving, right? Or is it just from Thanksgiving on into the weekend? Would MK be even worth a try (Sun, Mon, Tues, or Wed) of that week or am I setting us up for serious disappointment? We were totally spoiled with virtually no crowds 4 days after Hurricane Jeanne last Fall.

Also, we have good friends (DD's best friend from school) staying at The Yacht Club/Boardwalk. We'll have a car. Could we go visit them for a day and (sneak in ) swim at that fabulous pool without question? Again, another one of my tricky surprises...my DD nor her friend have any idea they are going to see eachother! They will freak out!

disnnurse-the state funding should work out fine. just call hyatt and ask reservations if the offer a government rate for that date. tell them your hubby's work status and that he can bring his college id. my dh works for a county (and i am retired from one) but since both our jobs rec. state and fed funding they have always just accepted our county id (as a matter of fact most never even ask for it). as for the luggage you can call the airline and ask how early they will let you check it in-in any case the hyatt should hold it no problem.

The "official" policy is that the pools are for guests only.

If you are a member of the DVC, the "official" policy is that you get to pool-hop to all pools except for the cool one at Yacht Club as well as Animal Kingdom.

However, you could borrow a page off of AWOLtoday's rule book and "live dangerously". As long as you change in your friends room and she gives you one of her room keys, just in case, who will know,

Disnurse - we were at Disney right before Christmas last year in what was the worst crowds I've ever seen anywhere in my life. Our friends followed Tour Guide Mike and waited no longer than 10 minutes for anything - we on the other hand were miserable. So when we went last month we followed it and never waited more than 5 minutes and Haley actually rode Dumbo twice and Pooh three times. So check his site out if you want to maximize your time in the parks - it was great!

dvc members can't pool hop during thanksgiving week (one of the black out periods on the privledge). i just figured plenty of people only take one room key down to the pool so if they go as a group...

We will try to pool snoop with our friends....that's for the hints. The worst thing that can happen is that we get kicked out! Big deal, right? I have always heard that pool at the Yacht Club is really cool for kids. I looked at staying there but just couldn't choke down the $350/night rates!

I am wondering, too....who is this Tour Guide Mike guy? Never heard of him?

we will be celebrating dh birthday, dd recovery AND the fact that dh finaly gets to take a real vacation after "implementation" (computer techie stuff)-we will take a hopeful stab as well for our FIRST successful docking at castaway cay!

we are now at the rad on the night of the 11th!

3rd disney cruise but 5th cruise overall.

the real barkely is still deciding...he may be swayed when he learns of the great chocolate chip cookies at his beck and call via room service
