Not crafty at all either. We like to pop into Cast Connection at and pick up something from there to use as FE gifts. Worked great for our Sept cruise, but just don't have time this cruise, so opted to not join in this time.

I've heard tell of the amazing deals at Cast Connection. Are the deals as good as I've heard talked about? $80 snow globes with a minor paint chip for $5. Gucci sunglasses for .50, etc.

For those that have cruised before, how current are the movies that are shown? My 9 y/o wants to see Wreck It Ralph when it comes out on 11/2. But if they show first run movies on the ship, I'll make him wait.

Those are deals that sometimes can be found at Property Control. Cast Connection does have some good deals though, but nothing like that.

Yes, it will be on board. They show VERY current films on the cruise, so you will have your pick of current run films, even some in 3D (Avengers and others) will be on board.

There are 47 people total including your family, spread across 14 cabins. 17 adult women, 11 adult men and 19 children (ages 10 mos. to 16.) An updated list should be making its way around shortly. Hope this helps in the meantime!

We were on the Pixar cruise two weeks ago and the premiered Frankenweenie on our cruise.... so... yup movies are current!

As I understand it, you can drop off a pillowcase(s) (or other item, such as a photo mat) at Guest Services on embarkation day - along with some markers. They will be autographed by many of the characters during the course of the cruise and returned to you on the last night. Optionally, you can include small treat bags at drop off for the CMs doing the signing.

Sounds great for the kids, so we are going to give it a try for the two boys. We are making our own pillowcases, but have seen many customized for sale on Etsy.

Does anyone have any special packing tips or items they recommend that we make sure we bring???

First Disney cruise for us, too. We have costumes for the boys for Pirate night. Timing is convenient ... use them for Halloween, and then a few weeks later on the cruise.

I've seen a lot of posts on other threads with folks commenting about things they would not do. "Too crowded, not worth it - will skip next time, etc." While seemingly good intentioned, many of these folks have cruised 5, 10 times or more on Disney. At that point, I can see maybe skipping certain things. Probably not the best advice for first timers.

We are going to try and keep our activity in moderation, and not attempt to "do everything." It is impossible on a four night cruise, anyway.
