Hi All,

Just booked this cruise. FL resident rate too good to pass up. It's myself, DW and DD (3). This is our 5th DCL cruise, 2nd on the Dream and we were also on the Fantasy earlier this year. We were on the Dream earlier this month.

There is lots to do on the ship. What are your interests?

Fireworks viewing is best up on deck. One side is blocked, but the other side is great viewing. You want to be in the area around the two main pools. It will be crowded.

I didn't receive an email for the FE names. Is it still the same as the people listed on the first page? I just don't want to forget someone!!

Just an FYI...the names on the 1st page are simply a cruise "roll call" and not the FE listing. However...if we get an up-to-date list of those participating in the FE, I can add an FE listing to the 1st page as well so everyone can see who's participating.

I have added a "roll call" to the very 1st post on the 1st page of this thread with my families info. If you would like yours added...all I need is your DISboard name, adult names, kids names & ages and stateroom numbers (optional), and any other info you'd like listed and I will update the thread...any takers?

DISBOARD NAME - donnahill74
donna mom
chris dad
kyle 13
gabby 5
matthew 15

:welcome: Spaingirls! There was talk about the FE but I'm unsure if it ever took-off...might want to read up on this thread if it's taking place or not. Good luck! :)

We are doing the FE's...if you're interested in being added to the list,
my email is donnah@advthrulearn.com.... here is the info...

Hello Cruisers!
Is anyone interested in participating in the Fish Extenders?? I know our cruise is several months off, but I'd like to start planning and get the ball rolling so we can get to "know" each other online and start gathering our goodies! I am happy to take the reins on this and organize a list of who would like participate! If you want to participate in FE during our cruise, please email me the following information:

Cabin # (or numbers)
DIS Name
Your Last Name(s) (for each person in your room)
Your First Name(s) (For each person in your room)
Ages and gender of children
and if you're celebrating a special occasion

MY EMAIL - donnah@advthrulearn.com

I will keep a list and update it as I get your info. Soon, maybe we can start a private Facebook Group Page where we can have our list and only members of our group can access it.... (The Private group on Facebook will be just our Fish Extender Group) Then, we can go into more detail about our trip and doing Fish Extenders! *It has been suggested to me that if our FE group gets too big, we can split the group into smaller groups).

If someone else has already started a list, or was planning to do so, please let me know and I'll send you our information!

Looking forward to November!

Donna :-)

We are interested in joining the FE group. We booked this cruise only a week ago and are just learning about FE and how it works. Have a couple of questions, though - as we've yet to find an all-encompassing FE FAQ.

Is the group children only, or children and adults?

Do you prepare a gift bag/gift per person and delivery once per cruise on a scheduled day, or once per day every day of the cruise?

Will there be a limit to how many people are in each group before it gets split?

Thanks!
Jeremy

:welcome: to the cruise realityland! donnahill74 on this thread is putting together the FE so hopefully her or someone else can chime in on your FE questions.

Your info has been added to the 1st page :thumbsup2

Thanks. Just realized that the way I listed Mason's age may be misleading. He will be 10 months old during sailing. Perhaps you can make that quick change to the 1st page. I have since edited my post.

Not a problem. Edit made :)

I've been reading up a bit on dinner dress for the cruise. I see Disney's recommended/requested dress code, but then seem to be reading that how people dress can be all over the place.

For those that have been before, what seems to be the middle of the road? For the "dress-up" night, I assume that most people actually get dressed up and look nice. For the two cruise casual nights, do most still dress nicely, or do the majority dress down? I know this is a very open-ended question with room for lots of interpretation ... just some general thoughts would be helpful.

Dinner casual works on all nights. The only attire I've seen any comments made werer guests in pool attire, they were asked to get some change of clothes. If you want to dress, please do and you want feel out of place. I personally enjoy dressing up and on true formal nights would wear a tux, but the 4 nights don't have formal, so the Tux stays at home. We do go to Palos on the cruise, so I do bring a dinner jacket as you have to do a little more than casual in Palo.

Hope this helps

Received our "Disney's Magical Express" docs today :cool1: Just curious...Has anyone received cruise documents yet?

Thanks for the input. I think we are going to play dress up on most nights. Living in FL, it's shorts and t-shirts mostly. So this will be a chance for us to wear our fancy clothes and not sweat from the extreme heat and humidity that is typical in FL.

I hope that we don't receive anything in the mail. This is a surprise for our 9 y/o. Ask any Florida kid what their ultimate vacation would be and they'll tell you a Disney Cruise. Grandma and Grandpa live an hour north of Port Canaveral, so he won't suspect a thing on the trip over.

On the 3 & 4 night cruises, some people "dress up" on optional dress up night and some don't do anything more than cruise casual. I LOVE to get dressed up on cruises because it's the only time I go anywhere that it would make sense to get dressed up! :p We always go "all out" on formal and semi-formal nights on the 7 night cruises. On the shorter cruises, we still get pretty dressed up, but there are plenty of people who don't. :confused3
