Just kiddin' :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :

That's definitely not a problem we're having in our house

This is more like how our shorts are fitting

Good Gosh Peeps! You have been bizzzyyyy! Took me forever to catch up.
Well I finally found my dang black dress pants. Dee told me to look to the right...Suzanne told me to look to the left and wouldn't you know it...they were UNDER MY BED in a box!

Tried on my new bathing suit that I bought at the Disney Clearance Sale and although DH loved it :thumbsup2 this was my reaction :scared1: followed closely by a :sad2: . Bathing suits are made for either 20yr olds or 60 yr olds....nothing for in-betweeners!

The pork roll saga continues (and CASE is better then Taylor IMHO!) My uncle just returned from Myrtle Beach where for reasons unknown he didn't know about the TSA regs and wound up loosing his aftershave, shampoo, conditioner and my aunts perfume and liquid make-up! Mom is now concerned about the pork roll and kiebasi. I would agree that a frozen 6lb pork roll is more of a weapon then a 8oz bottle of shampoo!!! I can just see my mother running down the aisle for the cockpit with the pork roll held in front of her like a battering ram!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2: I pity ANYONE who tries ANYTHING funny on her flight from PHL on Wednesday!!! I told her to call the airport again to verify! Have I told you all that she is driving me nuts????

As for tags for DIStag I have decided that I'm not going to put anything identifing on mine just in case the getter doesn't like it and comes looking for me. :tiptoe:

I'm off to run and pick up the teenager. He's been living it up in AK today and got to see the new NEMO musical. He gave it a big :thumbsup2

I lived in NJ for a while and never ate pork rolls but my DH introduced me to tastycakes and the WAWA subs. But my FAVORITE food is over the bridge to Phil. for cheesesteaks and pizza that fills you up on 1 slice. YUMMO!!!!

I started out in Ny went to Nv then Nj and now Va
Food in all areas is great if you learn the local hang outs.
How are the pinto beans still good?
I was pregnant and ate a lot of them, haven't had a craving for them since.
I lived near the base and enjoyed the beautiful mountainview.

Hello fellow Dizers,

Are there any folks out there like us who just decided that they would like to see the chacchoben ruins. If so please read.

I have contacted costa maya cruise excursions at costamayacruiseexcursions.com There are 6 of us (2 late 40 adults, 4 kids, girl 16, boys 13,8,7). We can get a prviate charter for 10, 12, o3 14. So we need 4, 6 or 8 more. The cost would be $37 pp if we get 4 more, $35 pp if we get 6 more and $34 pp if we get 6 more plus $3 pp photogragphy charge (???? - that's what the email said) and $3 PP to get from the port to Majahaul (5 minute ride).

If interested please pm me or email me at dwbarc@aol.com

Am going to book tomorrow morning. I'll front the reservation deposit. I will also handle the tip for the whole group. Just need to pay me the prices quoated above.

My 13 year old DS has grown about 6 inches since our cruise 2 years ago so he couldn't get his tux pants past his knees. Going to have to wear slacks and jacket. He seemed quite happy about that as mumbled something about being glad he doesn't have to look like a penguin and his goofy dad and little brothers. Teenagers these days.

See you in about 144 hours.

My DS that age has grown 2 inches over the summer, so I feel your pain! My boys will all be wearing khakis and oxford style shirts (although the youngest will be wearing his favorite tie). I did remind the teen to wear his shirt buttoned up (his latest fad is wearing long sleeve T-shirt with short sleeve button up shirt partially buttoned over it). I decided long ago not to try to figure teens out... it makes my brain hurt

My lovely wife has been working diligently on our door sign. See is a computer whiz and can do darn near anything with print shop. Gotta say it looks really good. Gosh am I lucky she has stuck with me for the last 24 years.

But I do have entire suitcase of shoes for the family. Vito jr has very large feet of an 11year old (mens size 12) And has to have both pairs of crocs ,sneakers, filp-flops and dress shoes. His shoes alone make it hard to fit anyone else.

Too funny! We did that last time, and will end up doing it again as well. I too have a DS with "man feet" but his are only size 11- bigger than his dad's feet. :rotfl:

Has anyone ever rented just the flippers at CC.

Everyone in our family have Masks and Snorkels, but only my wife and I have flippers (fins).

I saw the prices of renting equipment for adults $25 and kids $10, but I don't know if you can just rent flippers, and if so, how much they are.

I am trying to decide if my DW and I bring ours or not, and/or if I should buy and bring them for the kids.

Of course, most stores no longer have kids snorkel sets, so I would have to go to a sports store.

Any thoughts???

I know about needing a snorkel vest, and that they are free.

Down here in FL you can still get kids snorkel sets. I saw them in Publix (grocery store) yesterday for $8.99

Will you have time to get them?

Hello All,

Me again. My lovely wife lovingly pointed out to me that maybe everyone wouldn't know where the Chacchoben Ruins were or what day we were going to see them.

Well, they are somewhere in Mexico but you get to them from Majahaul which you get to from Costa Maya where we will be on Tuesday. From the web site the ride from Majahaul to the ruins is about 50 minutes. You spend a about 2 hours at the ruins so the whole trip is about 3 1/2 hours.

I believe we are schedule to be in Costa Maya at 8:00 am and leave at 5:00 pm. My thinking is we would catch the tour at about 9:00 am so we could return around 12:30 pm. That would allow several options for lunch including the free one on the ship. Could eat lunch at Majahaul or on the ship and then head back out to haggle with the local entrepenuers.

Well it is off to bed for me(I am really an hour late) I just wanted to catch
up and see if Jack made it through. Very Close Jack glad you are back. With the delay in the computer I believe you were close enough. I will hopefully
be able to check in while at work tonight if the natives are not restless.
Please hope for me.
Here is some good wishes and prayers for the kitty needing the biopsy. I have 3 and would be worried sick. My family would not as one is not very
nice to anyone but DH and I. We raised him since 2 days old. He really is
precious. pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: There that should do it. One for every year the kitty has blessed you with love and patience.

Yes sis I am going to bed.
Good night and Jack lets try for 6000?

An other idea would to go to Walmart once in Florida. I remember a while back reading that there is a Walmart pretty close to the pier. I think somewhere in Coco Beach.

Hello All,

For informaition look at the post 2 - 5 up this list.

Don't forget my frozen pork roll packing MOM!!!!

I wonder if we can bring alcohol............ :rotfl2:

Hannosmom- don't forget our Formal Night "EARS" :dance3:

Alcohol is always welcomed and in Mexico may be required. Also, if you bring tequila it must have a worm in it. Last person to take a swig out of the bottle gets the worm........mmmmm good.

Hi Kids!

Got my boxes (yes, 2) ready for shipping and printed labels. Now I'm updating all my lists, budget, itinerary etc to get all my paperwork in one place. THERE IS NOTHING ON MY TO DO LIST!!!!!! Well, the actual stuffing into suitcases part will be done on Thursday. (And this does NOT count the household 'to do' list ;) )

RayRing, yes, you can rent just fins at Castaway Cay....don't know the cost however.

Pat, formal night ears??????????

I just went and read the first year of this thread....500 and some posts. It was supposed to be my lunch break....took a bit longer than expected....
