Well, I took another vacation day....Thursday 10/9! So now I can pack and straighten up the house at leasiure....no fretting to get things done those last few days after work. I can also stay late at work Wed and make sure my desk is 100% caught up. Also, unlike those of you in northern climes, I'm still wearing some of the clothes I'll be packing, so I can do that final load of wash Thu AM. I could wait and get my pedicure that day too! It will free up some of my time for the preceeding weekend too! I SUPPOSE I could also go have lunch with my sister, something we never get to do on a week day There....you have all my rationalizations for starting my vacation a day early!

Hmm, very odd. I called in the afternoon and was on the phone with her for quite awhile -- extremely nice. Maybe you just caught her at a bad time.

I had a cruise dream...we were all there having a good time, relaxing....it must have been like day 2 and I suddenly remember I did go to where I was supposed to fix my palo reservations....I was sad....

It is rainy in NJ today...I need to be on a Disney Island!

Ralph, so sorry about the cancelation. I was looking forward to cruising with you again. I'll have a Bahama Mama for you.

DH is at the Poquoson Seafood Festival today and I am packing for our trip to WDW and MNNSHP on Sunday. I guess when we get back on the 30th, I'll just wash and re-pack for the cruise.

As a Husband, I take exception to this. We husbands get a bad rap. In my case, I do all the packing for our trips. Then, if something isn't right, it gives my wife a reason to be mad at me...not that she needs another one.

Don't fret DFCH (dear fellow cruise husband) - both these ladies adore their husbands, really. I do realize that you guys sometimes do get a bad rap... and I for one will send out a for all the wonderful guys who do their share, and (gulp) put up with us ladies!

RocketKRalph - I am saddened to hear you won't be cruising! How very sad indeed - I certainly hope that whatever has kept you from our cruise will be rectified and you will not have to wait too long before you set sail! Godspeed!

Clynne - Nona is my salesperson she was out yesterday - when I called I had talked to the ladies about them being really busy because all our cruisemates and she agreed. Don't fret, I was worried at one point too, remember - it will work out I do have faith in them now. I think they try and spread the orders out throughout their sales people. OH, having a picture of young marineified son would be great to give to Miss V - she'd love that.

Ok - did I forget anyone else? See what happens - so many postings and so little memory power!

Good for us, we are really doing well on the postings eh?

Jackie, my seperated twin sister at birth, I hate to break the news to you, but 10/9 was a Monday and it was last week and you missed it. Drats. Why don't you take off 11/9? That would be waiting till the last minute, but it is much closer to our trip.

I love the gift. Wow what a thank you gift. I do hope it does include two of the bags and cups. My 6 year olds twins will be fighting over those.

Dee, you must have missed my last line...the one where my wife gets the reason to be mad? If I'm leading the seminar on packing it will be just grab whatever clothes are clean and put them in the bag.

What we normally do is I pick out my and my wife's clothes, DW picks out the boys clothes, and then my wife comes back and puts half of the clothes I picked for away, and gets the right stuff out.

Then I make everything fit into the bags we are taking. So, maybe I do more of the "stuffing" than the "packing".

Only 3 weeks & 1 day till I'm eating my shrimp on the boat!!!!!

Good afternoon. Another wife packer, planner, DH just pays here.

I was just checking the DCL site. It looks like they have "potential" dates up through May, 2008, but you can't book them yet. Must be planning something special for summer of 2008.

It looks like we finally got some neighbors down on deck 1. There are stil at least 41 cabins specifically listed as available:

Cat. 6 -8
Cat. 7 -5
Cat. 8 -1
Cat. 9 -1
Cat. 10-1
Cat. 11-7
Cat. 12-2

So how many DIS families are going? And who should I call to get us all upgraded . Got to have some fun, as it is gray and rainy here today.

I forgot to say thanks Jackie for the bands we got them and the kids were so excited. I'm sure you've heard this before but "the check is in the mail". Many thanks again.

As for the upgrade I'm not really sure how it works. I was just updating my information when I noticed a room change. When I call to check on it they told us we had been moved up. What a pleasant surprise. I still haven't told the kids I think I'll just surprise them.

Has anyone got their disney packets yet? I see we have the mail seating on the website. Which is great for us but how do I find out what rotation we are on?

When I go online to Reserve Excursions for our trip, no Cozumel excursions show up--just CC and Costa Maya. Does this mean all Coz. is sold out? I was thinking of cancelling the Dolphin thing and doing the Atlantis sub instead, but nothing comes up. Help?

All of the Cozumel excursions are still available. DCL will not let you book another excursion on the same day you already have one booked. If you cancel your Dolphin excursion, you will be able to book the Atlantis subs instead.

I don't know if this counts or not but in regards to the packing: I get everything for everyone out on the beds with the coresponding suitcases. DH then processed to twist, fold, shove and manuever everything that I have laid out in the suitcases. Once he has finally cursed enough for all the Pirates of the Caribbean and has gotten them closed....I then proceed to find other "gotta pack this too's" he then gives me a "look" says another few choice words and proceeds to get whatever items I have "got to have" into whatever room left in whoever's suitcases he can find. This has led to my oldest's pure look of horror when he has found tampons shoved in with his socks in the outer pocket!!!

Gotta love it!!!

Oh, I thought I had these decisions made! I'll have to ask DH when he gets home. He's usually no help though as he has too much other stuff on his mind. I wanted to surprise the kids so I don't want to ask them.

Personally, I would stay with the dolphin encounter. The kids will be constantly enterntained and will most likely remember that forever. Not to mention learn something, hands on, about dolphins.
